Location is a big part of the adventure in Helen's books, and she enjoys setting stories in different cities and countries where she thinks her readers might like to escape to.

Born and raised in the UK, Helen graduated from University with a business degree and began working in I.T. This job took her over to Australia and it was there that she finally turned to what she loved and studied writing and journalism. She spent a while freelancing for women's health and fitness magazines, volunteered with the PR department of a children's hospital where she wrote articles and media releases, and eventually began writing fiction in 2011. Wedding Bells on Madison Avenue is basically all about Darcy and Myles potential wedding. It's a potential because they go through a lot of ups and downs before the big day. It doesn't help that they are both stressed out with their jobs and then with all the wedding business. So, it was bound to happen - the drama I mean.
There are times when both characters would annoy me. I get it though because these two weren't doing much together when it came to planning things for their wedding. I also get that they both thought their jobs were a priority as well. They just didn't balance it well enough which kind of brought on their big fight.
I will admit that the ending was pretty darn cute and I loved how Darcy's dad was there to calm her down before walking her down and giving her away. I can't wait to dive into the book of this series!
Wedding bells are ringing for Darcy and Myles. Or are they? After much preparation, there seems to be some trouble in paradise. Jumping to conclusions and lack of communication as well as working overtime all contribute to thwart the bliss the couple should be having. Adding to their distress is Cleo, a close friend, who is struggling with her own problems. Lots of drama and pre-wedding nervousness, but also, lots of friends and family to help them through it. The story was entertaining, but a little heavy on the wedding details. I got a bit bored with the struggle to find the perfect dresses and cake flavors.
I am just loving the New York Ever After series of books by Helen Rolfe. This was book 3 and it was FAB-U-LOUS!!
It was great to catch up with previous characters and I just loved following the ups and downs leading to Darcy and Myles’ wedding day after a whirlwind romance. I’m a sucker for a book set in New York and every time I read a book set there, it makes me want to visit the city even more!
I’ve immediately started the fourth book in this series because I’m completely hooked! Maybe I ought to slow down though as not sure what I’ll do when I’ve read them all!
I really enjoyed this story. It was fun seeing all the characters I have come to know and love in the previous books in this series. The story moved well and kept my interest. Looking forward to Holly’s story.
Another fabulous read. I loved the journey that Darcey and Myles took to the altar. The reflections of real life, the emotions, turmoil, humour and friendship and the wonderful setting of New York make this book a delight to read. Helen has the gift of intertwining her books throughout the series making you await the next instalment. They also stand alone very well but I just love a series you can get involved in. What’s next? is always the question and I for one am eagerly awaiting book four (no pressure Helen) to see how the characters move through life and their relationships. If you haven’t yet discovered Helen J Rolfe...do it now, her books won’t disappoint.
I loved the previous 2 books to this one so it was such a disappointment that this one didn't live up to the same standard. I found this story pointless and boring to be honest. It just centred round Darcy and Myles who are getting married after 8 months together. Both such business driven people who can hardly make enough time to be together yet are busy with every spare moment dedicated to planning a wedding. Madness. I wanted to slap Darcy a couple of times but I think the author only made her that way so there would be some semblance of a storyline. Not the best book by Rolfe but it's not put me off reading the next one in the series. Onwards and upwards xx
Yet again a five star read was fabulous catching up with the old gang for Darcey And Myles wedding great seeing Cleo in a good place the trials and tribulations of of family life work and Darcy's inability to not always be in charge Truely fabulous read from book one till now feel as if these characters are my old buddies can't wait for book 4 in the series 😁😁😁❤❤❤
I was excited to read this book, the follow up to Snowflakes and Mistletoe at the Inglenook Inn which I read as part of my Christmas reading challenge. I wanted to find out what happened next to Darcy and Myles. I loved this book and was kept interested in their preparations for their wedding. Some twists and turns kept me turning the pages, quite late into the night! A very entertaining and enjoyable read, looking forward to reading book four in this series.
This book had a lot of ups and downs, the author kept me guessing to what was going to happen with Darcy and Miles. There was a lot of wedding planning, a lot of missed opportunities to be together because of both of them always working. Each of them worrying if they could make the relationship work. Misunderstandings occur and they both have to make some decisions. There is a happy ending it just felt like there was a lot of parts that were very worrisome but the end was beautiful.
Darcy is fiercely independent and loves her job managing the Inglenook Inn. Falling in love with Myles has changed her, though not her fierce ambition to be the best. Myles too has a career that is going places, and time seemed to be too short for the two of them to live the life they were meant to. Add to it Cleo's and Dylan's life which seems to be unravelling, the path of true love does seem to be strewn with troubles.
A good connector novels to the other in the series.
Another adorable book in the series! This one centers around Miles and Darcy's life at the end of book 2 - and their whirlwind engagement! This book definitely has a lot more of Cleo and Dylan (from book 1) which I appreciated as I loved them!!! Definitely a sweet read while mostly an easy read - it does deal with some harder issues but they are beautifully written in and don't take away from the main story.
What more can you ask from a book set in Manhattan other than a wedding under the city sky! I enjoyed this series, this is the third book, and following the ups and downs of the relationship of Mikes and Darcy as it leads up to their wedding! Nothing better than ending a book with something fabulous!
This is definitely written for British audiences as the American characters talk more like they're British and not at all like they're American, which is fine but it is a bit distracting after awhile. (I am relieved the author didn't try to phonetically write out accents, which is not only even more distracting but usually offensive, so I can live with the way this is written.)
I enjoyed the book prior to this one in the series, but in this one, I just got super frustrated with the main character. I won’t add spoilers, but I thought she was so immature and self-centered. It’s hard for me to understand why her fiancé sticks with her! But, that is the storyline, and they get it all sorted by the happy ending.
A fantastic read that I didn't want to put down. Darcy and .Myles are fab characters and their story is one of love, laughter, apprehension and readjustment. S total escape from everyday life. Following friendship and love.
This was a sweet romance including all the dramas of a modern day couple trying to make their love work. Sometimes it was sappy but I devoured it all. Just what I needed.
