Discusses the history of papermaking and provides instructions for making a variety of different kinds of paper, and for using paper as an artistic medium
I found this to be just the right mix of theory, example and projects to try. It contained many new-to-me paper techniques and a bit more eastern technique than I have seen elsewhere. I particularly enjoyed reading about Shifu paper textiles from Japan.
I tend to revisit resource books and buy my favourites. Even though I have my collection of wonderful books, I can’t help browsing through more and I usually find new ideas, inspiration and learning each time. Also great for comparing and contrasting with other books. Have been spurting on paper making recently, so refreshing my memory on the basics and gleaning snippets of magic.
