When pregnant army wife Mallory and her young daughter go missing in a sudden snowstorm after a knitting workshop, Sticks & Strings owner and sorceress-in-training Chloe Hobbs springs into action. If Chloe and her human cousin Wendy can’t locate them ASAP, the magickal Vermont town will become Ground Zero for every news organization in the country.
And it couldn’t be happening at a worse time. Rohesia and the Old World magicks are making the transition to the earthly dimension and it isn’t going smoothly. Old friends are becoming new enemies and time may be running out on bringing peace back to Sugar Maple.
With three lives at stake and her beloved hometown’s future hanging in the balance, Chloe needs all the help she can get to make things right before it’s too late.

While holding a basic knitting class for children and adults, Laria meets Ava and they become fast friends, even though Laria is not yet a year and Ava is a precocious four years old. The class breaks up early when an early snow storm sends everyone running for home. Mallory and Ava get lost after an accident and Chloe, cousin Wendy, Gavan, and Maria have to find them.
The town is growing and not everybody is happy about the new people which leads to some interesting conversation which this author does very well. The description of the forest, town, and caves will make you want to take a road trip. I just want to go for the yarn.
Excellent story! Chloe is giving a knitting seminar to teach young children to knit. Everything is going along well until the snow tarts falling. People leave because the snow falling has turned into a blizzard. Laria has made friends with Ava whose mother is Mallory. Let's have a missing cell phone which Mallory goes back for and the mystery begins. There us a problem with some people from the town and the newcomers. As the story progresses many things will happen but in the end things will turn out okay. I loved the book and recommend it to you!
I love this series and I was super excited when I found out there were three more books to it than I was aware of but I cannot finish this book. In all the previous books the problems Chloe faced were not of her making, it was about her managing her destiny and her and her family's history. But in this book she screwed up, she created the problem by mishandling the events and I'm too mad at her for being such an idiot in how she handled it to finish reading it.

A little Magic American town gets growing pains. The challenges of babies with magic, boys being boys, love in the air, and adults being resistant to change, gives us a tale to be savored.
This book was okay. It was a short story without much to it. Now that the main character, Chloe, has gotten married and had a baby the story line has shifted to the baby’s powers. I preferred it when the stories centered around Chloe and had a little more to them. I feel the author could have gone into a little more depth with this story then she did.
Things get crazy between the Sugar Maple residents and the new Others Chloe invited to join them when their own dimension was collapsing. It comes to a head on a snowy night, with a poor tourist caught in the middle. Great plot and character development throughout.
This one was nail biting! With the new magickal people trying to fit in and an unexpected snow storm smack dab in the middle of a kidding knitting class? Lots of edge of my seat excitement going on for new and old beloved characters!
