Have you’ve ever woken up from a nightmare into a nightmare? Mia has. An innocent wish on a birthday candle by one of the PEEPs sends Mia twenty years into the past. She’s a thirty-two-year-old trapped in a twelve-year-old’s body. And to top it off, the only one who remembers the real time line is Murphy, and she and he haven’t been seeing eye to eye lately.
Trapped in this alternate timeline with only the knowledge of her powers, but not being able to use them, she seeks out the only being who may possibly know who she is, Altair. But twenty years in the past, he’s a demon. Will he believe her?
Fear not, there is a solution. Mia must have the wisher break the candle the wish came from before the next full moon and all will revert back to this time. But who made the wish? It must be a PEEP, but it’s twenty years in the past. Where are they?

Every Book is Better Than The One Before.
I wanted it to end so I could know how it ended, but I didn’t want it to end.
I especially love the way the characters continue to grow through each book.
I have read every one of the Peeps books, including the lites.
There is always something to learn, something to ponder.
I laugh and I cry and I wonder. We are all human, or are we?
The ideas keep coming for this author, and I hope they never stop. Not a single book is the same. Every book is different, every book is non stoppable reading for me once I have started it.
Oh! I love the CID books as well. I hope Ms Aaron continues them also.

The Candle (Haunted #23)
Story was frightening. What the lead character in this series has gone through would kill a normal person. The ending was a bit too Pacific for my tastes. Evildoers were exposed but although justice was promised it was not done immediately...if at all. Promises were made. Will they be kept? Outstanding...but I had to slog through the first two chapters while the plots unfolded.

Romeo and Juliet INDEED!
Another smashing hit for Alexie Aaron and her “PEEPS” crew. I never tire of her books and all her awesome word play & exciting plot twists! Mia and her “PEEPS” feel like family & every time I get to read a new chapter in this series, it feels a little like coming home....

Another great story!
So, I have enjoyed each of these 23 books, and all of Cid's adventures, and the Cin-Fin series. But, if you are a new reader to this series and just want a synopsis of the whole story with a new adventure intertwined, then this is a place to start, but just know, you will want to read the other 22! 😁

Another wild trip for Mia and Peeps
When you think Alexie Aaron has nothing else to write...boom the Candle is a true, twisting, crazy story telling. On the edge of my seat the whole time. I've read every Haunted Series in order and i'm so happy Alexie keeps them coming. Misa, Ted, Murphy and Peeps are my extended family!

Surprise!
When I read the synopsis for this book, I didn't expect to like it, but to my surprise it was the best one yet. Both new and old alliances came together in an epic battle. The only part I didn't like was Victor's mark on Mia. It felt too much like a judgment Mia didn't deserve.

Refresher course!
This was a good catchup of all the characters in the series. It helped to remember everyone who makes this a great book. Looking forward to the next one!

Yet another amazing Mia Martin story - every one is brilliant- I can't wait for the next one. I can't recommend this series highly enough, but please read them in order or it just won't be the same!
