This book was recommended to me by Johnathan Roumie and many others and I finally broke down and read it. Wow talk about life transformation! If you read it and do the prayers and pray for humility during your read it super helps. Being a medical doctor I give corporal advice to make the body stronger/healthier but with this book I recommend it for spiritual health. As the book says NO ONE GETS INTO HEAVEN WITHOUT HUMILITY. Learn about it!

This little book is a weapon of mass instruction! Mark has provided a great service to Holy Mother Church. The content in this book is the key to holiness and happiness. I thought the author was some retired old cloistered monk - I was pleasantly surprised to see this come from a mind and pen of a young male laymen.
He is spot on...that book ROCKS!

This book is not what it looks like on the cover (mysterious self-help book about an inner garden?). It’s actually a collection of wisdom on humility from various sources. I read it because it came recommended by someone I respect. I gave it two stars because there is a lot in it that I don’t think is an accurate reflection of the kind of humility the Father wants us to have. There is a lot of “think of yourself as a worm, worthless, etc.” which we would be without the Lord, but we don’t exist without the Lord so that’s a moot point. I believe humility has to be understood in the context of the human dignity we have in the Lord—and it’s because we have dignity that it’s challenging! There are a few sections of this book that I LOVED and will continue to go back to—collections of Scripture passages and quotes from the saints. I would just be really careful who I gave this book to.

I was recommended this book by someone who is pretty knowledgeable with this topic. I wasn't sure I would get into it at first, but it turned out to be one of the best books I've read this year. It teaches you what humility really means, not just what individual ideas we might have about it. It is essentially striving to obtain (though mere humans can't) a Christlike level of humility. He was the most humble Person to have ever walked the earth. If we can achieve only a fraction of that, we are blessed. All in all, I definitely recommended it, though be aware it can be slow at times. It's worth it.

Good content and material about humility from a multitude of sources. I had a difficult time reading it because it was a compilation of notes rather than a story or theme. It seemed more like random notes taken while reading rather than a book.

Fantastic yet challenging read. Challenging in the aspect of self reflection, necessary yet often painful. Would highly encourage this book to anyone whom is serious about drawing closer to Christ!
