SHE'S DONE IT AGAIN!
Barbara Snow's quirky cast of beer guzzling, wine sipping, comfort food binging, archetypal wise women and holy men whom we met in Book One of her Energy Unveiled Trilogy have returned to the page in Protective Force, Snow's latest, can't put it down, page turning, New Age thriller where religion, politics and (potentially) hot sex are not so cleverly disguised as light hearted literary fun.
Snow's familiarity with the world's first people's spiritual traditions is far reaching, sophisticated and deep (Watch out... you just might learn something!) In Protective Force, Snow envisions for the reader an America where the universe has conspired in our favor culminating in the election of a highly evolved and deeply compassionate female president, Valerie Brooks (who very much reminds this reader of Marianne Williamson, of a Course In Miracles fame, who recently ran for congress in California.....Alas, California was not ready). Our Madame President (I wish!) is governed by deeply held spiritual principles, heartfelt progressive politics and nourished by an assemblage of down to earth, spiritually elevated humans (Welcome back Terra and Will!), honest to goodness other worldly, very real (seeing IS believing) angelic guides and the intervention of earth-loving extraterrestrials. But not so fast......the white male oligarchy, unwilling to relinquish its destructive power and control, stages a coup. The moral of the story is that the spiritual is political. Love saves, but only if we remain ever vigilant spiritual warriors. What's next? Will holy war break out in Book Three? I can't wait to find out!

If you like fantasy that's about things you might actually fantasize about -- like enlightened political leadership and criminal justice concerned with evolving consciousness -- definitely check out this second book in Snow's Energy Unveiled series. You get a return of the sassy and fabulous Terra Kano and her strong, silent, swoon-worthy friend Will. I wanted more to happen between them. Maybe I have to wait for the next book. For me, the first book had more drama and tension, whereas this one resolved more easily, but I enjoyed the story and the characters immensely. I love how Snow manages to bring mystery and magic into the realm of the real while tying together traditions from all over the world -- or Universe, as the case may be. If you like fast-paced story mixed with beautiful, lyrical prose, put this book on your to-be-read list!

Our whole family loved this great read. Everyone read it on their own and it opened the way to lively discussions! It is filled with intriguing mystery and intelligent characters with quick wit and humor too. We found many spiritual insights within these heroes and their journeys of transformation. Humanitarian and personal wisdom intertwine in a magical way we all appreciated.
Also enjoyed the Science Fiction and techy aspects too as the mystery unfolded. Highly recommend for mystery lovers, spiritual seekers and science fiction lovers too. Everyone loves the work of Barbara Snow as she is a highly intelligent writer with deep spiritual wisdom who does her research well and writes impeccably!

A good quick, spiritual action read.

The second book in 'The Energy Unveiled' series, First one being 'The Crystalline Vision' and the second one being 'Protective Force', keeps the readers on the edge from the very beginning when a serial killer, after being silent for quite a few years, goes on a killing spree and is out on the loose with a very particular choice of target. When the news of another 'Dead Angel' comes about, Super Cop and Shaman Terra Kano, can't keep herself still and vouches for and ventures out on finding the killer herself with an aide when the body of the fresh victim is found in a park.
As if this mayhem of death and tragedy wasn't enough, America's Chief, the highly honorable President, Madame Valerie Brooks, is attacked and she goes missing on the very next day! Who is the enemy? Where did she vanish and with whom? Terra Kano with her love Will and friend, Judge Myra Mocta, engage on a mission to solve the case by seeking aide from The Other Dimension. Will those Special Beings be able to save the President and protect the Nation's principles and sobriety? Is the group, desperately trying to breakdown the soaringly successful Female power, internal or an external enemy? Will Terra and her Special Folk be able to catch the serial killer or face consequences like the victims themselves, I leave it for the readers' imagination.
A nail bitingly intriguing novel from the beginning to end, Author Barbara Snow has again proved her prowess by keeping the readers' imagination alive. The deeply captivating plots, twists and otherworldly experiences compels a reader to be awed by the magnificence of it all and the communications with those extraterrestrials taps on some serious sacred grounds. The processes taught and implemented by them are so intriguing, it's only a strong indicator that the writer is a Spiritual Teacher herself and a Healer by all means trying to connect all of us by weaving magic with her words. I loved this book so much that I can't imagine what awaits me in book three and only hope that The Protective Force, is made into a big sci-fi movie thriller by all means!
