Dragon Warrior Amari Nazira has lived amongst the stars for centuries, traveling the universe and keeping watch over the known galaxies. She has lived her life for the greater good, but her true desire has always been far beyond her reach. Now, taking her destiny into her own hands, she must find the one male who can tame her wild heart. After losing everything, Regent Roman Newgate dedicated his life to the Alliance. He thought duty was all he needed, but the moment he meets Amari, everything changes. She is like a flame, beautiful and deadly, yet the heat of one touch is all it takes to know she owns his heart. Their love may be fated, but they need to let go of their painful pasts before they can have a future together. However, time might not be on their side. When a peaceful meeting of the races on the Delta Station is attacked, allegiances will be tested. Can Amari and Roman defeat the enemy before a war begins, or will everything the Alliance stands for be destroyed?
Laurie Roma mainly writes contemporary, romantic suspense, fantasy, and sci-fi romance. She can usually be found tapping away on her keyboard, creating worlds for her characters while she listens to music. Of course, her playlist depends on her mood…but then again, so does her writing. She loves to hear from her readers and can be reached at laurieromabooks@gmail.com.
O dear lord, please O please save me from characters where you have very long while chapter after chapter inner monologue with themselves, they give l o n g endlessly wordy descriptions and histories of every other character and well just everything they can.... O geez, the book starts with Amari giving us a long drawn out bistro of her love and her surroundings she’s flying thru.her family and her past, he’ll probably the history on the rock formations she’s flying past ,maybe even the history of histories ... Deep sigh, ok I did start to exaggerate some but not by much I swear... I got sooo bogged down in all her inner thoughts and monologues, it was like a dark thick viscous goo that just bores me and fired me to the point I just wanted to give and sat I tried and deep sigh I eventually did .... Over 1/2 the book just seemed like just one huge unneeded info dump on things I wasn’t really interested in,and it never seemed to stop ...dear lord by the time the characters finally, and I do mean F I N A L L Y meet ( a lil over 1/2 thru the book I didn’t know what I was more resentful of the long inner monologues or all the pointless long winded conversations the MC’s has with side characters that didn’t seem to have any real baring on the over all story and definitely not anything to do with the two main characters in them meeting... Out of 18; 18 freaking chapters our MC’s ,soon to be lovers and “fated mates” , after all the long drawn out folderol don’t even meet til th very end of chapter 9 .. the last pages of chapter nine, out of eighteen... Seriously ?!?! And then even though Amiri is quick a cobra 🐍 to snap up her mate, poor stupid B, doesn’t have a true real clue what to do with Roman and all their clueless and clumsy stumbling around is painful to watch, not fun and definitely NOT sexy ;( I just could hang on any longer after that .... After getting thru chapter after chapter of boring facts and histories that didn’t at to the story and impatiently getting thru boring side conversations hoping to have a pay off when they finally meet... I was beyond disappointed, three starts on all the hard work and effort but more of this felt like a boring narrative for ppl wanting to get lost in background story details and forget this was supposed to be a romance ... But how can you call it a romance if the MC’s don’t even meet til almost 69% of the book... Between oaks like this and Susan Hayes gone from the series I’m not sure how I feel about the series any more... For me it’s definitely not as good as it once was....
There was a massive amount of back story, outside characters and their stories, I’ve read most of the series and I got lost in the sheer amount of names coming at you, while reading I was constantly trying to remember who was with who and related to who else. Edited- loved it more after a reread Amari and Roman don’t meet until 50%, which would normally be annoying for me, however here it made sense we needed to get to know both their story’s, the journey they took to get to who they are, and Roman is not a young man, he’s lived a full life which worked so well because Amari is not a young female. Love them together.
Love this series. Regent Roman Newgate has been tapped to mediate the Ministry of Nations meeting, which chancellors from the alliance will be meeting with their new allies of Tarin as well as Xenon and the Dragon Warriors. The meeting to take place on Delta Station. A stated of the art roving station. He is among friends, traveling with Ian Spartan who will represent the Earth and Tavius Adaro who is representing the Krytos. They are being escorted by Jax Spartan his partner Sully and their very pregnant chosen Serra. Matt Malloy is heading up their security. Amari Nazira has been tapped as fill in chancellor for the Dragon Warriors, when Alexis has to bow out due to a surprise pregnancy. Amari doesn't really like people much but Alexis is family to her and she agrees. Travels with her nephew Malick Reigo who is to represent Tarin, along with his mate Reva and two of his brothers, Darius and Lazio. When Amari sees Roman she knows he is her mate and claims him before they are even introduced. Elder Torron Blue comes to represent the Xenon. Finds entertainment in Lazio and Darius Reigo. Tensions run high at the talks. The Xenon and Dragon Warriors power are one of the biggest sources. Some of the chancellors are not happy that Malick is representing his people. His sisters crimes weigh heavy as well as his ties to the Dragon Warriors. A new enemy has show it's self. The ones responsible for Ivy's crash ln Xenon and for Reva's poisoning with the silver goo. They are powerfully enough to take Delta station and hide it from both Torron and Amari. They have to trust each other to same those trapped on the station. An great addition to the series. The story starts with back stories on both Amari and Roman. Once they meet the story turns very steamy. When their friends are in danger, kickass. Loved Amari and Roman. Loved seeing some old favorites. Jax, Sully and Serra, the Adaro brother and cousin Kahla. Reva and Malick and his brothers. Can't wait for Darius and Lazio to find mates. Elder Blue. Can't wait for the next book.

Another great addition to the 3013 series. Love the main characters so happy to finally read amari's story. Great plot and loved seeing the past characters and a glimpse into their lives. Love where the series is headed. Can't wait for more stories hopefully there will be stories on Lazio,Torren, Eden.
Not gonna like the beginning I was like holy shit with the back story, but I clearly came into this series right in the middle so maybe all the books are that way (can’t wait to find out😊) but overall really good read. Strong F/M makes this book a must read❤️❤️
The 3013 Series is back and I have thoroughly enjoyed this new book in continuation of the series. The diversity of the characters and races featured is astounding and I can't wait to read more. Great work, Laurie!
This is one of the best series that I have read. Fabulous characters that follow through out the series and fabulous plot twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I highly recommend this series. Best read in order, multiple authors.
A wonderful continuation to the 3013 series. The book is great at pulling together the storyline so you could read it as a standalone. However, the story will be much richer if you have read the previous books of the series.
A tremendous amount of past story, past character, and current story and character integration. I really enjoyed visiting previous story's and characters! New possibilities opened, characters and stories to look forward to!
I really like Amari since she is such a unique character. The author really beings forth the arrogance and yet sweetness of such entities. Roman adjusts very well as a human male.
