4.5/5 STARS. A little BDSM? 40 year old billionaire hero/dominant? 18 year old naive heroine? Makes you cry a little? True love and pain? That’s what this book is. So we have our hero Brick who is a billionaire and the CEO of a bank. We have our heroine, Daisy who is a poor 18 year old with an abusive father who kicks her out. She asks her boyfriend Ralph but he says no and he works for Brick. One day while cleaning Bricks office, Ralph complained about his girlfriend and Brick asked for a photo and he showed her and he was already captivated and jealous that Ralph was with her. So Brick bought her for 300k from Ralph for one month. Daisy is hesitant but reluctant because she needs the money and her naivety covers that. At first their relationship is bumpy with attitude and punishments along the way. Her first time wasn’t great but it also wasn’t bad. Their relationship escalated from bought/buyer to a full on in love relationship and when they realised the they were in love that one phone call with Ralph changed everything. That one I love you turned Brick into an animal. It wasn’t sex or then making love. It was punishment for him and her. It was punishment for him because he fell so easily and foolishly for her it was because she didn’t love him. But she did love him and when he did that their whole dynamic changed. She went back to Ralph’s and told him she wasn’t doing it and Ralph kicked her out. She lived on the streets and Brick went crazy unable to find her. 3 months later she lives at a shelter and works at a burger place. Brick found her there and confessed his love to her and told her he would be patient and he was. The next few weeks she saw that he was helping the shelter she used to live at. Helped her secure an apartment and the next you know 3 months went by again and he came and proposed and she said yes. They got married like lovesick fools and have their baby on the way. The way she confessed it to him while he was inside her was kinda weird like can you not wait until after?

SMUT: 4/5 Their last scene before she left was full on pain and no pleasure for either. Brick didn’t give her a chance to explain before taking her like that. But all the other scenes with the rope and handcuffs had me. 🥵😳🥹🤤.

So if you have read my blog or reviews you will know I am a huge fan of Cassandra's and becoming a big fan of Kendall's, but I think that this is one of the best books I have ever read of Cassandra's. I have read pretty much every book with all depravities and sweetness and this one is freaking awesome.

Yes, there are triggers. Daisy is sold by her boyfriend to his boss, and there is BDSM. So some triggers. But the bottom line is this has a good storyline. And the characters are good. The boyfriend is sleazy, the boss is handsome, sexy, and dominate. Daisy is young, sweet, and submissive.

So if you want to read a good story with some BDSM this is a great one to start with. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy for my honest review.

4 Buying Happiness Stars

The story did end around 23% - BUT I believe that is b/c with the purchase of this book they provide you with 5-6 books combined. It felt like a longer novella almost normal book length.

Our Leading Lady hasn't had the best life. She has grown up taking care of herself and being a doormat to her family. They use her and abuse her in a sense. So of course she seeks out a man who does the same to repeat the cycle.

In a change of events she ends up living in the home of her Boyfriends Boss.

Our Hero is anything but warm and loving. He wants one thing: A submissive. He doesn't need an emotional connect, he doesnt need a friendship or love. Or so he thought...

Great book, really enjoyed it. Brick and Daisy's story is one that took me through many emotions. Daisy had a terrible life at home. Her Mom died when she was younger due to a drug overdose and Daisy's dad was an alcoholic that treated her like crap. He expected her to work and support him and his drinking while he sat at home. Daisy's boyfriend decided to sell her to his boss for 30 days, he didn't love her only wanted her for what she could give him. Daisy and Brick's relationship started out with her being whatever he wanted. He didn't mistreat her but just took what he wanted. Along the way they both feel in love with each other. To find out what happens, you have to read the book.

Once again, blown by Cassandra! Not the first time reading her books, it's totally fun to read with and sleep with.

Daisy is such a good kid, she's always busy and she loves her family no matter they used her as a money machine. Daisy is just too unlucky to have a bad boyfriend who sold her to his boss Brick but somehow she is too lucky to be sold to Brick because obviously Brick slowly fall in love with her more and more. I really truly enjoyed this story!

Again, the book ain't only about one story, it's a compilation of a few funny stories. It's short and easy to read through usually leads to happy endings. Love how the author writes, love her books.
Recommended for all people to read, sometimes you just need some imagination in our day to make it easier to pass by.

*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author*

First off, you shouldn't read this if you don't have the patience for submissive doormats. Daisy is extremely innocent, but I feel like you can be innocent and still stick up for yourself. So, know that if you're going to read this book, it has to be done with the knowledge that Daisy is a very helpful, emotionally degraded and mentally abused submissive. Don't think too poorly of her because she doesn't slap someone or tell them off when they're mean or using her. People like her are just wired differently and they'll take a lot of stuff from people they're supposed to believe in, but it's obvious in this book that when it comes to near strangers, she's got a little bit of an attitude who will somewhat put them in their place (she obviously can't really do it because of her sub personality).

So on to the review. It's a 3.7 for me. The first half was hard to get through without wanting to skip things but I managed. The second half was really, really good, and I'm actually saddened that more books (at least the ones I've read) don't end things just like this one. I think if the beginning had been done differently and the characters were more likable, this could've easily been a 5-star rating. I cried near the end and really found Daisy endearing when she did things for herself. If the ending hadn't been done the way it was, there's no way I would've enjoyed this.

As I said earlier, Daisy's a doormat because of her upbringing and the fact that she's naturally submissive. Brick is a very controlling man who, like everyone, has flaws. His just happen to be more off-putting with the way he thinks of women and what they can do for him. These two characters were very different but there was enough to work with when it came to them. At times they felt inconsistent but it isn't something a few explanations can't fix. The sex was amazingly hot and I warmed up to them somewhere in the middle of the book. The drama was good and the miscommunication made things worse in a good way. I totally cried when things went down, but the ending is what turned the indifferent reading experience around. I really loved the way Daisy was given time to think about things and I liked the way Brick redeemed himself. It's a recommended read from me because of the ending but I'd only recommend this to those with patience. Anyone else would not like this.

3.5 stars. Better than Ms. Dee's usual fare.

Cassandra Dee partners up with Kendall Blake and produces a better book than the few I’ve recently read, so I’m proud of her! Better characters, better character development, better plot development, and even better understanding of BDSM without making this book sound like a sexual guide into BSDM 101, thank you so very much!

(Warning! Spoilers ahead!)

Daisy is a meek and placid virgin who is the daughter of an alcoholic father and a drug-seeking mother who had overdosed a year prior to the story’s start. Her boyfriend-only-in-name pimps her to his rather twisted bastard of a boss (but with a cold but possibly golden heart) who is fascinated by the purity shining from her when the sniveling brat shows his employer a smartphone picture of her. Brick (which is a weird name for starters) who is a BSDM dom offers the jerk $300K for just one month’s time with his girlfriend with the full intention of training her to his liking, have his fun, then dump her back onto his employee to deal with the consequences, but life shifts a bit. Never one for a real relationship, he finds himself wanting something more permanent from her. She’s not sure what she wants other than, perhaps, some control over her life at the very end of the tale.

I far more enjoyed her main characters in this story than in previous books I’ve read by Cassandra Dee. (I haven’t read anything by Kendall Blake, but this person appears to have been a better influence on Ms. Dee. I will need to look more into this writer in the future!) It is better in the editing department but not at the level I’m used to. I found the story lines to be less template and followed a more realistic point of view which didn’t disturb my suspension of my disbelief. That was a huge factor in my liking this book. Better fleshing out but still lacking a bit.

Brick deals with the weasel of the boyfriend in the end. Instead of trampling all over Daisy while she’s attempting to gain more control over her life and grow up for realsies. That was unexpected but a totally realistic move. That sold me more on this storyline than in other works by Ms. Dee.

I doubt I would have spent as much money on their books in the future. The page count didn’t warrant that kind of price in my book. It isn’t available on KU, and I have yet seen it as a give-away in any of the downloadable sites.

Daisy is only 18 years old but has lived a hard life in those years. She works at the Hotdog Hut so she can pay the bills and buy groceries. A father who didn't make it in professional sports because he got a girl pregnant and then had a shotgun wedding. A mother who was a heavy drug addict who had died last year. A boyfriend who is a narcistic weasel. Now to put the icing on an already ugly cake, her father informed her she has to be out in a week, after she pays his rent, and her "boyfriend" won't let her live with him. Where's she suppose to go

Brick Langston is a 40 year old VERY successful self made man and according to the gossip rags, an eligible bachelor. He's not in the market for marriage or relationships. He just wants a woman who be compliant to his wants and needs without making emotional demands on him. He wants a D/s relationship but really is tired of feeding from the same pool of women. They no longer hold his interest and quite frankly they're all wanting more than he's willing to give.

Ralph is rather self serving and narcisstic. He's been dating Daisy for a few months now. Nothing serious on his part. He's works for Manhattan Bank and has BIG plans. Plans that do not include a woman who works at the Hotdog Hut, but she tidies the apartment where he lives and buys him groceries when he tells her he needs them. When he's called in to work a weekend for the CEO/owner of Manhattan Bank one thing leads to another and his boss offers to buy his girlfriend for one month. With contract drawn up, signed, and amount agreed upon, Ralph convinces Daisy she needs to do this for them.

I read the previous reviews of this book. This is a "romance complication" according to the book cover. Yes, there is a D/s scenario within the storyline. Whether you enjoy that or not is up to you but definitely not worth condemnation of the story or the way it's written. I enjoyed the storyline and the characters. Each were described in detail at the beginning of the book with no misconceptions. Expect your HEA at the end of this steamy tale.

I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. What a story. A poor girl (Daisy) growing up in poverty with a mother who used drugs and an alcoholic father. She was naïve in the ways of life and was insecure in herself. Her father emotionally abused her and financially used her, her boyfriend was no better. She was bright and intelligent and had a promising future educationally until her father ruined it for her. Her boyfriend was greedy and sold her to his boss thinking it would get him ahead in his career at the bank. Daisy met Brick (a billionaire) at his penthouse. Brick had wanted a Dom/submissive relationship but got so much more. Brick was an arrogant, power hunger man. However, Daisy seemed to make him question what his life was all about. This started out very sad because of Daisy's predicament and her father kicking her out at the tender age of eighteen. But meeting Brick at that same point in her life meant she would have food and shelter so she agreed to his arrangement. This was an older man younger woman story. It was emotional because of what Daisy had lived through and was living through. Brick did have some compassion for her and let her get adjusted to living with him. He tried to understand her needs which threw him for a loop. The relationship between Brick and Daisy had its ups and downs but eventually Daisy realized what her boyfriend and father was doing to her and it caused her to want to make it on her own and gain her independence from the emotional abuse. This was not the ideal way to start a meaningful relationship but love will not be denied. A very good read.

First book review

So far I have only read the first book but I had to leave a review for it lol. My brain wouldn’t shut off. I might edit this post later to include the other stories but for now I have to get this out. I don’t give out 5 star reviews often when I give reviews. This book man this book I started this book late last night now it could be because I wasn’t really expecting what I was reading or cause my mood wasn’t leaning towards this dynamic but damn I hated brick and her prick of a boyfriend Ralph. I honestly felt so bad for daisy and thought she was s o broke in her mind to accept the shit she was being handed. I almost didn’t continue to read it. However I’m so glad I picked back this morning since my record of unfinished book are I guess technically 1, but even that one I read the end just skipped the middleish. I’m also so glad I did because the second half more than made up for the first half. I do have an issue and that’s we never really get any of bricks history. I mean I get that daisy said she didn’t need to know his past to understand why he is who he is which is sweet a bit naive but with a life together she will find out right? Lol I know I’m making this seem like real life and these character are going keep living but in my head they are. So I guess I can be okay with it. Sorry I know that sounds like I’m rambling and in a way I guess I am but it helps me. I highly recommend this book it was great.

This is a story about two opposites, Daisy who has had a hard life barely able to make ends meet and thinks of others before herself and Brick who worked hard when younger became very successful and wealthy. Daisy lost her mother and her father kicks her out at 18 for another woman an is taken advantage by her boyfriend. Her boyfriend works for Brick and sells Daisy to him for a month without her knowledge. Daisy ends up agreeing to help with their future. One thing no one expected was for either Daisy or Brick to have genuine feelings for one another. Brick teaches Daisy about being a submissive and what he likes and she ends up fearing him at first but then makes the decision to give 100% and ends up being more to Brick then his submissive! Daisy and Brick have great chemistry and actually start a relationship but when Brick overheards part of a conversation things go south pretty quickly. Daisy leaves prior to the one month and ends up on the streets but a guardian angle saves her. Daisy finds herself at a woman’s shelter and after a couple of months gets her life back. From day one Brick went looking for Daisy and was lost without her. Can he find her before she moves on and will Daisy give Brick a chance to prove he has true feelings for her? Daisy is a hard worker barely making enough to support herself and her father. When her father kicks her out she goes to her boyfriend to see if she can move in with him but he is adamant that he was not living with her. Later he called her back to his apartment she thought he had a change of heart but it was something altogether different. It seemed he had sold her to his boss. Daisy went along with it because she needed money but she never expected to fall for the strong dominant man she was given to. Brick is used to getting what he wants and after seeing her picture he wants Daisy and will do whatever it takes to get her. When things got intense Daisy ran back to her boyfriend only to be thrown out again because he wanted the money. Daisy ended up on the streets and then in a shelter where she turned her life around on her own terms. Brick was lost without her and never stopped looking for her but would he be able to prove that he was the man that Daisy needed by her side?

This was a great story once I started I was hooked. The chemistry between Brick and Daisy was off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this to any of my book friends.

I voluntarily rad and reviwed this book. I enjoyed it so much I bought my own copy.

Daisy is a young woman struggling to support her father on a waitress's wage. The product of a forced marriage, she has grown up surrounded by the violence and abuse in her parents marriage. Her boyfriend Ralph preys on her fears and when he has the chance to profit from her attraction he sells her to his boss for one month as a sexual slave. Brick is a self made man and finding women who are prepared to submit to his desires without expecting a relationship in return frustrates him. When he sees a photo of Daisy he is instantly attracted to the young woman and makes a deal with her boyfriend. Daisy is an innocent woman free from guile and as time passes Brick becomes more involved in their relationship but Daisy has a strength in herself and faced with the truth of their relationship and the disgust at he boyfriend's lies, leaves to find a new life for herself. This was a compelling read with excellent portrayal of the main characters, intense and deeply emotional read.

These two authors have done it again with this story it’s an absolutely fantastic read and this is Brick’s and Daisy’s story. Daisy’s boyfriend Ralph gets offered a few hundred thousand dollars for Brick to own Daisy for a month. Ralph’s Boss is Brick the CEO of the bank of Manhattan and he’s tired of the same women all they want from him is his money and the prestige that goes with it. When Ralph shows his boss a picture of Daisy he knew she was innocent but not a Virgin and he’s very pleased. Petrified Daisy went to Brick’s apartment she thought that Mr Langston was a old man not this sexy looking man that answers the door. This is an absolutely fantastic read these two authors know how to collaborate with a story and this one is the best one so far. A very sexy read and a 5 plus plus ⭐️ read this story definitely deserves it. I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

This is another great read by Cassandra and Kendall. Daisy is an innocent nineteen year old who lives with her father. He is emotionally abusive towards her and just uses her to pay for his drinking. When he tells her she needs to be out by the end of the week she goes to her boyfriend, but he won't let her live with him either. Brick is the CEO of his bank and is trying to stay out of the press. When Ralph shows him a picture of Daisy, he knows he has to have her. He offers Ralph money in exchange for having Daisy live with him and be his submissive for a month. Ralph is able to sweet talk her into doing this, but she is very nervous. She doesn't known what Brick will expect of her. What will happen when Daisy starts to fall in love with a man who doesn't do relationships or love? What happens when Brick finally opens his heart to Daisy? The chemistry and attraction between the two is explosive. There is some drama, misunderstandings, jealousy and hot and steamy scenes.

Cassandra and Kendall are a great writing team and have once again presented us with a five star read. The main characters involved in this story are Daisy a beautiful, young, naive virgin, Brick a handsome, wealthy, domineering playboy and Ralph the despicable, greedy boyfriend. Brick offers Ralph three hundred thousand dollars to purchase Daisy for a month. Daisy has no self-esteem, is broke and is being thrown out of her home by her cruel father. She agrees to the arrangement believing that Ralph will ask her to live with him after the month is done. Can Daisy do exactly what Brick wants and manage to stay the entire time without being hurt? This story is a mix of drama, passion, lust, erotic scenes, heart-break and finally romance. The superb writing and complex characters make “My Boyfriend's Boss” an entertaining read. Don't miss out.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Daisy Smith and Brick Langston. Daisy is just doing what she can to make ends meet and take care of her and her father. However with his health problems and his drinking problem he doesn't respect her or anything she does for him. So one night he kicks her out she has no where to go. However when she gets a proposal she can't refuse she doesn't know if this will be the end of her or her HEA?

This is an amazing book. It has it's ups and downs that I really want to tell you about. I however don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Man this one is hot and sordid! Cassandra Dee amd Kendall Blake bring a tale of an innocent girlfirend sold to kake some quick cash. Poor Daisy has no luck - in family, jobs or boyfriends. Brick is a rich man with no urge to settle down but wants a plaything. These two burn up the pages while simultaneously bringing emotions to the forefront and making you feel what they do. I great and very hot story! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Daisy and Brick are very different people on the surface of things, but they're sheer perfection together. Daisy is a complete sweetheart, and she's treated horribly by those around her, and Ralph is particular is a slime. Daisy and Brick have a journey, and it allows both of them to come to a better understanding of who they are. Brick seems to be a cold jerk, but it's lovely to see another side of him, and Daisy is caring and giving, but it's beautiful to see her develop her own strength. The chemistry between Daisy and Brick is smoking hot, and it brings out a side Daisy never suspected she has. It's fantastic. The plot is amazing, and the characters well-crafted. The writing duo is tops. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.

I was so excited to read this story from the quick summary. So once I started reading I was okay Daisy is in a bad place and a bad life.. everyone around her is walking on her like a doormat maybe the guy (the boss) is going to be nicer and sweep her off her feet. We meet Brick and i just hated him HATED HIM he wasn't even a good Dom the whole relationship was horrible. Each chapter i was oh god let this end, there was a point where Brick started to change and i was okay maybe he can be a good man now. and they have a misunderstanding and he treats her like dirt.. takes her Anal virginity and tosses her aside like trash thats when i stopped reading the story.

I would not recommend this book to anyone..

Well.. the love sorry is not bad.. I read the book and was an easy read and could feel their connection.. but something was wrong... I don’t know if it is the fact that she was sold, that she was so naive or that someone bought her... I don’t know the story din’t seem believable..
I can understand that because of the men in her life she has no self-stem and she tries to be happy with the wrong person (to call him something, because his boyfriend is a scumbag) but I can’t understand Bricks actions.. I don’t know.. something didn’t work in the story..
not to mention some mistakes like “ I don’t have phone because is expensive” and then Ralph called her many times and left messages.. to what phone? Then at the end she decided to buy a phone..

This is one crazy story of opposites in every way. Brick is rich and successful and the boss of Ralph, Daisy's boyfriend. When Ralph gets in debt to his boss he sells Daisy to his boss without her knowledge. Daisy has been subject to abuse all her life so she ends up agreeing to the situation. Lots of drama and surprises. A roller coaster of emotions as Daisy falls for Brick but things don't work out. She ends up in a women's shelter and the drama continues. No spoiler, do she and Brick get back together or does Ralph come back into the picture. Chemistry that's off the charts and a steamy read. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

Lost me toward the end

It was good. It could've been better. I loved how Daisy found her independence but the fact that Ralph had so much control over her until he turned her away towards the end was a bit much. I mean she was a prostitute and he was her pimp. And she intended to go back to him?! That really was not cool and made me really lose so much respect for her. I get she felt some misguided deal toward her dad, but there was literally nothing Ralph had for her. That was completely pathetic. I would have given more stars if not for her going back to Ralph. That just lost the story for me.

Not too bad

There are 4 stories in here, in case you're like me and didn't realize that. The first one is My Boyfriend's Boss and it was my favorite. I was a little frustrated with the main character Daisy because she was a doormat. She let men walk all over her and do whatever and she couldn't stand up for herself. Brick was a pretty good alpha who took care of her and eventually Daisy learned to be independent, which made me happy. The twin step brother story had so much smug, wow. I loved that about it, but the writing needs work. There's a lot of repeating information and some of the dialogue was cheesy and unrealistic. But I did enjoy it overall.

Ebook Reading📖📲

I randomly picked this title from the list in my ebook App. All I can say, I was enjoying to read it till the last page. I loved the main male character more than the female one, except her father & her so-called boyfriend (they annoyed me alot). Well, yeah, the storyline was super ridiculous ( yes it is happening in real life, but still I can't imagine it). However, I just take it simple, creativity of writing or creating a story has NO LIMIT/BOUNDARY + it is a bonus to ourselves if we let our mind open and explore ( by reading) other different genre/story from different authors📖🙂

So, 4 stars for this book..☕..

Fun, emotional and very hot. Loved the chemistry between daisy and Brick. Daisy has had more than her fair share of troubles and turmoil in her life and now her jerk of a boyfriend wants to use her in a whole new way. Brick is a billionaire alpha. He is used to getting what he wants and being footloose and fancy free with women. When these two are brought together temperatures are going up, things are going down, and hearts just may be broken. A very entertaining and enjoyable read. I'm posting a totally honest, voluntary review.
