Have we met? No? Well it's time to end that tragedy.
I'm a former firefighter/EMS guy who's picked up the proverbial pen and started writing bad boy romance stories. I co-write with my sister, Ali Parker, but live in Texas with my wife, my two little boys, my daughter, two dogs, three cats, and a turtle.
Yep. A turtle. You read that right. Don't be jealous.
You're going to find Billionaires, Bad Boys, Military Guys and loads of sexiness.
Something for everyone, hopefully. I'd love to connect with you. Check out the links below and come find me.
I struggled with this book, almost DNF but because I have been a fan of Parkers work I wanted to see it through. The characters didn't show much development and growth, it was a case of ok, now we feel and do this or that.
Wake me up is the story of James, a billionaire trying to make affordable drugs to everybody and Maya, a fashion designer that moved from New Orleans to New York with her abusive boyfriend Craig. For fate, they met when she accepted a job as receptionist in one company that James was going to make some business. However, her jealous boyfriend appeared and antagonized with her to leave her new job. During the argument, James stoped the abuse and gave her his business card. That same day she lost her job and Craig kicked her out of his apartment. Alone, without a phone and just with the clothes she was wearing Maya didn’t know what to do other to go and find the Good Samaritan that help her early in the day. Will James help her to get on her feet again? Will Maya could trust in another man again? Would James could leave his past and regrets behind? The author developed great characters and the plot is interesting. I love the way both characters grew up together to do the right thing. Really good love story!
This novella is a good beach read. It’s got the damsel in distress , the horrible boyfriend and the bight is a shiny expensive suit. I think it could have had a little more drama. But over all it’s a really good book addressing some issues like domestic abuse and over priced life saving meds, with out feeling like people are preaching or shoving it down. Your throat. A good little HEA that reminds us that there are still good people out there.
I loved it! It was a fast read and I could finish it quickly. It was a very easy to follow. Loved the part where a perfect stranger would help without expecting something in return. Read and you won't be sorry. Wonderful light reading. Refreshing!
