A wonderful and timeless collection of stories, "Ek Lota Paani" is exactly what you would expect from the esteemed Gita Press. The book, authored by Paras Nath Saraswati, presents 24 short stories that are not merely narratives but lessons in morality and human values. The tales are simple, yet profoundly impactful, touching upon themes of selflessness, devotion and the victory of non-violence.
The stories are written in a clear and accessible Hindi, making them a great read for a wide audience. As with all Gita Press publications, this collection serves a higher purpose, aiming to instill good ideals and spiritual thought. The story "Ek Lota Paani" itself is a poignant example of the book's core message. It's a quick read that leaves a lasting impression. Highly recommended for anyone looking for short, inspiring tales rooted in Indian spiritual and cultural heritage.
I was expecting this one to be good, and some of the stories are good. Yet, there are some stories with not-so-good morals now that I read them with an open mind. Still, an okay read.
