Thomas Karlsson (born 1972) is a Swedish occultist and an esoteric author. In 1989, he and six other magicians founded Dragon Rouge, a Left-Hand Path initiatory organization and a Draconian Tradition Order, led by Karlsson.[1] As a book author he concentrates on occult, philosophy and paranormal topics. The Dragon Rouge website cites Carlos Castaneda, Julius Evola and Kenneth Grant as some of the magical writers whose work is read by the order, as are texts by classical philosophers such as Herakleitos, Plato and Plotinos, as well as modern philosophers like Friedrich Nietzsche, Martin Heidegger and Henri Bergson.
Karlsson is also associated with metal bands Therion and Shadowseeds. In the summer of 2007, he has held the first Swedish course ever in Western Esotericism[citation needed] at the Stockholm University. His personal influences include Sumerian mythology, Alchemy, Tantra, the Goetia, and the Qliphoth. In an interview dated in 2003, he claims he experienced astral projections as a child but did not think of them as supernatural experiences until he started formally exploring the occult.
I have to say that this is a book that has caught my attention and enchanted me, since it is a grimoire with stories in the form of a story and helps to understand how Karlsson managed to found the Dragon Rouge order having already done some work on his own, noting that he has always been a scholar in his field.
It is interesting to know how magic changed him and how his beginnings with the Dark Lord were. And also how through meditation one enters the unknown without drugs.
I faithfully believe that Dr. Karlsson has understood the world in his own way, but he is forming himself critically and practically, coming to the concept of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lucifer as the morning light, coming to bring more knowledge to man and humanity. At the same time, this knowledge is dangerous if it is not known how to be carried and this same vision was not first had by him, although he has been severely criticized for this and for serving the believing church.
In the final chapters, one of his friends (Gustaf) has a fight with the machines and the phrase is good: the machines should serve us and not drive us. Although it doesn't feel like a real link to magic, it is important to clarify that technology is now with us and is a useful tool but we can't live from it or depend on what we see there. Life is something more than the material and tangible.
Finally, although here there are no magic(k) formulas or algorithms to work on the left hand path, it does make clear how to initiate and a little bit of what to expect and how to awaken the Kundalini serpent or snake. After all, reading and knowledge does not come in a single book of just over +200 pages.
Amazing story. Recommended for believers and non-believers alike.

A biography/novelization of Thomas Karlsson's teenage years when he founded the Dragon Rouge with friends. An entertaining story/recollection that conveys the excitement of being young and discovering the world of occult literature and experimenting with the contents found therein.
