Peter James Flamming was the pastor of my home church, First Baptist, Richmond. After his passing this spring, I decided to engage a couple of the books he had written. "Never Stop Staring" caught my attention because I am discerning a transition in ministry vocation in my mid sixties. As began reading, I could hear Dr. Flamming's explosive voice throughout the pages. The biblical characters he references, for me, places them in a different context than the Sunday School lesson, or the biblical survey classes in college and seminary. His words and thoughts helped me to understand that God is not done with my gifts and graces, even at age "sixty- something!"
