The second book in the Rajani Chronicles series is equally creative. It’s a detailed story with abundant dangers and plot twists. The Rajani world is shared by three sentient races, but two are controlled as servants. Now a fourth race, the Krahn, has attacked. Behind the scene, many more people and races are involved in a quest to conquer this world and find the exotic Johar power stones.
The ship bringing the humans crash-lands, and characters are separated. How can they lead a rebellion against the Krahn amidst such chaos? I like the vivid descriptions. Asnurian had “blackened teeth sitting like diseased tree stumps inside his mouth.” This is an intricate world with appealing characters and layers of deceptions. Well done!
