Royal Mafia #2

Mafia Prince

Being a Valenti can be a godsend, or a curse.

For me it’s both.

There was a time when I thought I wanted a different life. A life with her. But that changed the day she left—the day she ripped my heart out.

Now I’m a heartless bastard with the tendency to not give a shit.
I live my life like a man with nothing to lose. Reckless, ruthless, callous, and consumed by nothing but darkness.

But she’s back, the woman who destroyed me. Only this time she’s one of them—the enemy.

She thinks she can play me, torture me by walking around in our world like she belongs here. But on these streets I’m a fucking prince. I’ll ruin. I’ll rule. And I’ll start a goddamn war in this city.

Because Layla Moore belongs to no one…but me.

Bella J. is an International and Amazon Top 100 bestselling author of dark romance and psychological thrillers.

She writes stories for readers who want more than a happily ever after. Stories that twist, hurt, haunt, and occasionally require a minute to emotionally recover from. Expect morally questionable characters, dangerous obsessions, unexpected turns, and enough emotional damage to have you crying over fictional people like they personally ruined your life.

Bella has a particular weakness for ruthless men, complicated villains, and characters who refuse to fit neatly into good or bad. Whether she’s writing the dangerous world of the mafia or diving into something darker and more psychological, one thing remains the same: she wants you to feel it.

And because emotional devastation should occasionally come with a laugh, Bella weaves sharp wit and unexpected humor through even her darkest stories.

Come for the obsession. Stay for the emotional damage.

My, my...

Bella J never fails to deliver an intense, dominant and passionate alpha, and, hands down, Dante Valenti is a pure bred one.

I loved Mafia princess, and the main protagonists there, Lorik & Karina, but as much as I was captivated by Dante, the object of his love/obsession Layla Moore, was a 'weaker' link, for me.

A girl who broke him long time ago by leaving him without answers, without a reason or a clue, and then miraculosly appeared in his sight suddenly awakenibg the fire of love in him...BUT now, the odds are against them, and the roles are different, the stakes and the risks are higher than Dante could ever predict or anticipate...

But when her reason is finally revealed, Dante will risk a bloody war against the enemy who planned and orchesteated this ordeal in the first place...to get Layla and their love back.

I love Bella's books, they are captivating, edgy and filled with action and tensing passion of alphas...what more could you want?😉

I received a copy and voluntarily left a review and all opinions are my own.

I was beyond excited when I found out that Bella J. had created some more of the Valenti family, because I love me some Valentis! Bella J. brings us back to this world full of intrigue, suspense, and sexy, sexy action to get up close and personal with Karina's older brother Dante Valenti. It wasn't long and I was completely immersed in the mysterious push and pull between Dante and Layla and hanging on every word they uttered and every move they made. Bella J. does a phenomenal job of having you so twisted up in the passion and suspense that you emotions are in a constant tailspin.

Layla Moore pulled me in and made me one of her biggest fans from the beginning. I couldn't wait to read all about her history and try to figure out every piece of the Layla puzzle. This heroine has a backbone of steel, unwavering loyalty to those that she loves, and a huge heart....what's not to love? If anyone could be a part of Dante's mafia world and the tiara fit..it would most definitely be Layla. Her strength and tenacity shines through with every decision that she makes.

Dante Valenti is my type of hero. He has alpha male written all over him but once his heart is Layla's, there is no turning back. Dante is all kinds of sexy and I fell at his knees with adoration over his fierce protection over Layla. Nothing makes me fall faster than a man who protects his woman. Dante proves to readers again and again how seductive he can be with his dark charms and killer looks.

Bella J. delivers another addition to the Royal Mafia series that is sure to leave your head spinning and heart palpitating. I highly recommend Mafia Prince along with the first book in the series Mafia Princess for a dark and dangerous family that you can't help but fall for their power and charisma. Bella knows how to spin a suspenseful tale and leave you clamoring for more stories and more amazingly vivid characters. I cannot wait for Bella J. to give us more in this series so I can be consumed once again and show more love for the Valentis!

First off I am going to say I must be real effed up to have loved this story. There were so many effed up things about the main characters that I had to laugh at myself because I wanted to jump through the kindle a few times to kick some serious a$$ I mean the mafia prince Dante was no saint far from it and he was messed up and then Layla lord help me Jesus Layla was all sorts of effed up and she drove me crazy. She had me wanting to beat the shizz out of her a few times. She was a selfish biatch and only thought about herself.

Dante my poor Dante was what I thought at first. The love of his life left him and ran away not to be heard from again. She broke his heart so he turned to women and alcohol. He was such a manwhore I was shocked because he went from such a loving man to a manwhore who took what he wanted when he wanted and didn't give a damn about anyone or anything.

Layla boy oh boy she was one of those characters you love to hate but she left Dante because she found out who he really was and when she found out she was pregnant she ran as far as she could go because she didn't want her son to be raised in the mafia. She wanted nothing to do with mafia and their lifestyle which was fine but what she did next shocked the hell out of me because she claimed to love Dante so much.

They cross paths again but this time Layla is setting him up to be taken down by his enemies. But what she did and how she did it made me HATE her more and more with each passing page. Dante on the other hand is still in love with her and wants her back no matter what she does to him. That was a WTF moment because I just couldn't understand that. So I kept reading and that ending let me tell you was one crazy a$$ ending and I would not have been like Dante was I would have thrown her to the wolves!

2.5-3 Stars SPOILERS clearly ahead You are warned!!!!!

Ok, so I am clearly in the minority here but as much as I FLOVED the fist book, this one didn't quite live up to my expectations. Now with that being said, there were too many things that just were not to my liking.

First, the drug use, ummmmm, for me, that's just a big fat no. Her whole reasons just really didn't make clear sense to me, sorry! While I am at it, secondly, her reason for leaving him, again, another big fat no, just again made no sense. Thirdly, well, for me the whole baby thing, again, made no sense and just didn't sit right with me.

I LOVED Dante, Lorik (still my favorite) and Antonio but Layla, hmmmmm, well her selfish decisions for me were just that selfish. It's called communication and talking, she just read a letter about him and made a life altering decision for the 3 of them (her, him and baby) just a big fat no for me. That type pot storyline just didn't work at all for me. Yeah, you can see I am so disappointed:(

Will I continue with this series, probably, and I hope the storyline and characters are as good as Karina and Lorik's book! Don't get me wrong, Dante, loved him but Layla....what a freaking dope in my opinion!!!!!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Being a Valenti can be a godsend, or a curse. For me it is both. There was a time when I thought I wanted a different life. A life with her. Oh my...how I loved this book Dante will melt your kindle. He was in love with a woman five years ago. He was willing to give up his lifestyle for Layla Moore. But instead, she left him and broke his heart and this turned him into a ruthless man who runs the streets and terrorizes those that need to be terrorized. Now he has firmly settled into running his family Mafia Empire. He is a prince of the streets and is treated just like one. But now Layla is back and she is the enemy, but she is also still his no matter that she turned up on the arm of his enemy. He will destroy her while also getting the answer he so desperately wants as to why she left him in the first place. This book is filled with secrets and some backstabbing things you will never see coming. Is Layla a friend to the Valenti's or is she really a curse to them. Did she ever really love Dante or was she using him to get to his family? Why did she leave? You have to read to find out but just like Mafia Princess this is a book that you will not be able to put down. Bella J has this way of drawing readers in and making them never want to leave the worlds that she creates.

Mafia Romance and Bella J. And I'm sold 😍... After reading Mafia Princess, Dante and Antonio had me craving for their books. I DEVOURED THIS BOOK SO FAST I DIDN'T EVEN REALISE..Page 1 into the book and SUCKED RIGHT IN. Dante is the brother who loves fun and all but is really wounded by a deep hurt from his past. The past when it comes back not only haunts him in the form of Layla but there are so many puzzles to be solved as to why would the same past return right in his face with none other than his enemy. Their secret which Dante is unaware of and which links all of them together even to what happened with Dante, to what wounded and shattered his heart.
Dante was absolutely the intense, all consuming, charming yet dangerous guy. Who loves like there is no tomorrow and no life and breath without Layla. I wanted to be Layla really 😂. What I always love about Bella J's books, why she's one of my "buy books without even knowing what's it about" author is her ability to SUCK me into the story so deeply that I have no idea when even the book is finished. I was living along with Dante and Layla, feeling their love, their pain, their suffering AND THEN THERE IS THE HUGE REVEAL. AND THE CLIMAX FACE OFF SCENE AT THE END IS JUST WOW!!! I'm in dire need of my next Bella J book. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is an ok book. Layla and Dante knew and loved each other years ago, but Layla left. When they see each other again after years of separation, they declare love again. But they are both holding secrets. Can they come out of the situation together once secrets are revealed? Like I said, it was an ok book, but I really wish there had been more "mafia" in the story, hard to explain this second chance book but worth the read

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Oh sweet mother of God.... This book is here and I couldn't be happier.... I was expecting it since May when I ended book 1. Let me just say that I was almost, almost insane. Lol
Everyone knows that I love Mafia books and Bella J. knows what she's doing.
Her writing is dark, wild, intense, forbidden and so much in between.
Mafia Prince is her latest release and it's the second book from the Royal Mafia series.
But let me tell you that you need to read book 1 first because despite they are standalones you need to know this family from the beginning. Go for it and read Mafia Princess and prepare to be amazed.
If I told you, on my previous review, that the cover for book 1 was stunning, dayum the cover for book 2 is drop dead gorgeous.
This second book explores the lifes of Dante and Layla.
Dante was once the true gentleman that wanted to let everything behind, his money all of it for the love of his life but she had other ideas. After that, that sweet guy vanished and in its place born the ruthless guy we all know. He's feared by many because being the mafia prince you exude power. After 5 years he can't forget her and he just want to do so and to be able to destroy her as well but things...
Layla left the man she loved 5 years ago because secrets can be a pain in the arse. She was forced to do so but why?
Dayum if I thought that book one was intense hell... This one is way more.
The plot is superb, very well written super engaging and powerful. Each chapter graves my attention and I couldn't put the book down. I needed to know more, see more, feel more and each page brought it.
The interation between the characters is raw and intense, full of secrets and suspense but the chemistry is there.
Therw were parts of the book that I wanted to get into in and slap someone. Dayum I needed answers.
This book presented us with love and hate, revenge and evilness, deceive and the hot factor is there. Oh boy...
Can secrets damage a relationship beyond repair? Can true love be erased like that?
Oh Bella... You nailed it girl. This series is freaking awesome and I can't wait for more. Will we have more? Please say yes...
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Dante was prepared to give up everything for Layla Moore. Instead, she broke him and turned him into a cold uncaring man that he is. He is now running his family’s Empire. Layla may have turned him into something uncaring and cold, but he is adamant that she still belongs to him, even if she is with the one person, he hates.

Dante wants answers as to why Layla left him and he'll get them. Layla knows what is at stake . There were secrets that forced her to play her hand. When all the secrets are revealed, whose heads will be on the chopping block? After all this is the mafia!

A wonderful story, full of suspense, an explosive ending, and a hint of things to come for Antonio I can not wait!

Man, I absolutely LOVE Dante. Like love, love, love, love him. He's definitely my favorite Valenti. He's soft and sweet, but can also be hard and ruthless. He'll protect his family and all that he loves.

I couldn't put this book down. It kept on moving, very action-packed. Also filled with lots of love and a little sex.

Like the first book in this series, there isn't much to say about this book. Just that it was really good. And the ending, you really have me ready for Antonio's book now.

I think all these zeros have to be getting the same diagnosis because apparently falling into random vaginas( this darling has multiples) cures all ills. In this case orgies and booze helps him through the pain of the h leaving him...poor guy I could see how he'd mistake pu**y for therapy 😕

Five years after Layla leaves Dante, Dante finds Layla on the arms of his enemy. Dante was ready five years ago to give up everything for her and now to see her again takes him back to his feelings for her.
Layla has secrets but she loves Dante. But there was a reason she had to leave when she did. Will Dante understand or will he make her leave also? Will Dante's secrets and lies force them apart?

Bella J is a wonderful writer and I have enjoyed these two books greatly!

What an incredible story! I loved this second book! I can't wait for the third book!

The Mancuso Family show they are ready to fight back and the Valenti Family are about to be hit with a blast from the past that will be hard in which to recover.

I have to say there were many moments in this story that were very intense and quite dramatic, where emotions run the full gambit. There are some lighter moments, I do like Lucio, Dante's cousin, he has a quirky sense of humour even if it is laced with darkness, as well as the fun banter between Dante and his brother-in-law, Lorik.

Do yourselves a favour and grab this book but start at book one, Mafia Princess, if you haven't read that.

So I absolutely love Mafia romances! You know that bad boy with a soft spot for that special someone? That is Dante!

He truly is the Mafia Prince. He is loyal to his family, with his heart ripped out and with him being left to bleed out after loosing the love of his life with no explanation, he becomes The Valentis deadly weapon and would lay his life down if it means his family is safe.

Layla...his "IT". His love. Left him with an empty space where his heart use to be. But why did she leave him with no explanation and return after 5 years? Dante has every intention on getting those answers and is prepared to kill anybody that gets in his way.

Bella has managed once again to give us a book filled with angst, blood, love and devotion that exceeds all expectations!

There was a time that Dante Valenti was ready to give up the family business for Layla Moore, until the day that she left him. He looked for her for years, but when he never could find her, he finally gave in, and became what his family wanted him to be, but he never got over her. Finally after 5 years had gone by, and he's grown into the ruthless man his father wanted him to become, she resurfaces, which knocks his world into chaos. And to make matters worse, she shows up with his family's biggest enemy. WOW! Mafia Prince was cover to cover, one hell of an exciting ride that had me turning the pages almost too quickly. So quickly in fact, that I found my self having to go back and reread several of the previous pages because I missed things trying to figure out what the hell happened to Layla. See, there were too many twists, so not only did I drop beloved f-bombs all over the place, but I sung colorful metaphors as well, because I couldn't figure out if Layla was good or bad half the time. It's a rarity, but it happens, but in this instance, I was #TEAMDANTE, until the whole story was revealed, and even then, I still stood by my choice. Bella J definitely upped her game with this second book in the Royal Mafia series, as I'm all kinds of jacked up still, as even the ending stopped my heart to be honest, and I can't even tell you why without spoiler douchery....but now I must end this review before I give any amazing detail away that needs to stay in the vault. I CANNOT WAIT for the next book, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

I thoroughly enjoyed the first book, Mafia Princess and can honestly say I was just as entertained if not even more by this story.

Dante Valenti and Layla Moore met when she was still a teenager and realistically he wasn't that much older. They quickly fell in love even though Dante had never told her about his criminal family. He was prepared to give them up for her, she was the one who left! Now back the puzzle pieces are being pushed around trying to be placed into their correct spots but the Mancuso Family keep pushing them around more.

There is good and evil even within Mafia style family groups, maybe 'good' is stretching things but there is certainly an element of pure evil. This author portrays this so well with the Mancuso Family and another character that she makes the Valenti and other mafia families look almost good. You definitely find yourself rooting for the demise of the Mancusos.

This is a powerfully written story even getting the old heart racing at times with its raw emotive language and intense drama. Its solid storyline is fast-paced and easy to read, actually, you find yourself flipping through pages wanting to your if you have successfully placed the puzzle pieces together!

Mafia Prince (Royal Mafia #2) is Dante's story. Dante is deliciously tormented and super hot. I was so into his story; I couldn't put it down and read it in one night. Bella J spins a tale with twists and turns, highs and lows, love and hate, devotion and emotion, everything that takes you on a roller coaster ride with the finest fictional alpha males!

I really, really enjoyed this book. It was written well and the plot was intriguing. However, like book one, I felt that certain key parts of the story were just really rushed through. Not quite as much as they were in the first book, but still left me with wanting a little more of the angst I was reaching for with this series. This would be an awesome book for someone who wants to read something a little darker but doesn’t want all of the bloody details. For me, I want to hear about all of the ugly and the torture, but I’m also a lover of dark romance. There were certain parts of the story that just lacked the details or the emotion I would expect and want from such a major piece of the plot.

Each of the books in this series is about one of the Valenti children. Mafia Prince tells Dante’s story and gives us his backstory and what made him into the violent and tattered soul he is today. He was in love with Layla, wanted to give up his lifestyle for her, and suddenly she was gone and he was never the same. Fast forward a couple years, he finds out she was under his nose nearly the entire time, and she’s taunting and teasing him in ways he never imagined.

Although you could read this book without reading the first, I think it provides a better backstory if you read them in order. You would be missing some important pieces if you jumped right into book two.

Bella J. continues her fineness with the second installment in Royal Mafia series focusing on the longing and enthralling love story of Dante Valenti and Layla Moore. Man, I can't get over Dante's love for his woman anytime soon. Take inspiration, hubby! This is how you love.

The second installment weaves a story of sacrifice and eternal love with Dante and Layla forever lovers but with Layla's sudden departure without a word, Dante shatters completely. After 5 long years, she's back, with none other than Valenti's archenemy - Mancusso. What follows after is a tale of Lust, Passion, Longing, Convincing, Lies, Sacrifices and Betrayal. Layla hides a secret, deadly even to Dante! But will he back out soon enough? You ought to read more. To describe the book, I only have few words: Controlling, Possessing, Sensual, Riveting & Passionate. To conquer love, what lengths do they advance for? This book will fill your senses with love and adoration only. A must read for 2019.

This is the 2nd book in this phenomenal series, and is Layla and Dante’s story. These two were passionately in love, when Layla left him breaking his heart in the process. Now 5 years later Layla is back on the scene on the arm of Dante’s arch enemy, and he is determined to find out from her why she just upped and left him. Dante is now running his families mafia, and he is a ruthless man. Will Layla reveal why she left? What will happen to their relationship when secrets are revealed? This is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed! This is another well written flawless story from this talented author, which is filled with secrets, twists, love, and is a gritty and intense plot. I was totally captivated throughout, and cannot wait to read the next book in this awesome series.

Well hello Dante 😍 is it crazy to love a mobster this much?!? I loved his passion for Layla and how much he loved her despite her leaving him 5 years ago without a single word or a clue how to find her. My heart was breaking when the truth was reveled and when she decided how to protect the ones she loves the most.

This series is turning out to be a fascinating read. Can't wait to start reading Mafia King and see in what kinda trouble will Antonio get himself in.
