Alpha Stepbrother

Rate this book
A secret marriage, a secret baby, and a secret mate–will Owen and Caleb ever find out they are meant to be?

Caleb
My stepbrother, Owen, is a beautiful, young omega, and I'm going to make him mine.
I never thought I would find my omega so close to home. When my mother married his father, Owen became my stepbrother. Now his father's scheming is keeping us apart. I won't allow that. Owen is mine. No one will have him but me.

Owen
So much has happened since my father married Caleb's mother. We're stepbrothers, but we're so much more.
My life is so complicated now. A secret marriage and a secret baby don't make it any easier for me to figure out what I feel for this gorgeous, domineering alpha.
Is this real? Could we be fated for each other, or will my father's threat of an arranged marriage keep me apart from my alpha, the man I love?

Notes:

- Hmm... not really a fan of the writing style. Too much telling not enough showing.

- The writing improves in chapter 3, I guess... Good. Otherwise, I might as well just abandoned this.

- Good god... I do admit this book feels soap operaish. They're mates but 'somehow' they don't recognize themselves as mates. It frustrates the hell out of me. There's just too much drama.

- But it feels so romantic. *sigh*

Good grief! This was so difficult to get through. . .

The dialogue was unnatural, almost robotic and stilted, not to !mention lacking in expression or any imagination. Sounded as though it were written by someone whose first language was some type of Asian or a third world country, perhaps a child. Did. Not. Like. It. Skimmed after the second chapter then checked every so often in the chapters to see what was going on. Sadly, I hadn't missed much. Some conversations repeated sentences, phrases to sound wooden, unnatural, boring. Waste of time - very happy I didn't buy it and used Kindle to review it first.

Steamy angst with a satisfying conclusion

I was skeptical of this book but I am glad I read it. The characters are both lovable. The romance has all the right ingredients. I especially loved Caleb the super possessive and protective alpha. While it couldve came across as cliche and stale, the author did a good job portraying it in a sexy and interesting way. I would recommend this book of you like growly protective alphas, mpreg, sweet omegas and happy endings ;)

I wanted to like this book alot more but just so many things bought it down. If u can only mate with ur truemate. His mum getting remarried n pregnant so quickly n easily was just stupid. N if they were truemates hiding. N him hiding their truemate status it was all so stupid.
