His past came knocking… The last person Navy SEAL Dalton Jennings standing at his door was the woman who dumped him five years ago without any explanation. Nothing! Now she’s back, and the secret she reveals is enough to bring Dalton to his knees. Someone has kidnapped their daughter—a child he never knew existed—and he will have to break every SEAL code he’s sworn to uphold and steal government property to find his little girl.
And offered a whole new future... Kimber Grant has put off this meeting for five years. Cowardly, yes, but how do you tell the man you deserted he has a child? Not to mention Kimber never stopped loving Dalton. Now she’s desperate for his help. After all, who better to carry out a convert mission than a SEAL? The kidnappers want a computer chip developed by her boss for the Dept. of Defense, and they will kill anyone who gets in the way. Including Kimber.
When she's taken, Dalton realizes he’s got two girls who have his heart—Kimber always has. And he’ll be damned if greed is going to take either away from him now that he’s got them back.

Paige graduated with a degree in education, but decided to pursue her passion and write books about hunky alpha males and the kick-butt heroines who fall in love with them.
A hot Navy SEAL, an adorable five year old, and a still loved ex make this contemporary romance a joy to read. Fast paced action and an engaging storyline. Novella length at 150 pages. 5th in the series. Can be read as a standalone.
Navy SEAL, Dalton Jennings never expected to see the woman who dumped him five years ago again, but here she is on his doorstep with a secret that brings him to his knees. Kimber Grant was a coward and put off meeting with Dalton for five years but now she has no choice, their daughter has been kidnapped and the kidnappers want her to pull off an impossible task.
Dalton and Kimber are two strong characters that easily draw readers in and has them wondering how Kimber managed to stay away for five years. Not only is Dalton a sexy bad a** but the chemistry that flares between from first sight of each other again singes readers with its intensity. Readers can’t help but become emotionally invested in the story as well as they try to let go of the past, accept the present and find their little girl even if Dalton has to break every SEAL code he’s sworn to uphold.
Thrilling suspense keeps adrenaline pumping while the dangerous events play out with twists and betrayals that the characters didn’t see coming which ensures that this fast paced plot never has a dull moment.
Once again, Paige Tyler’s SEALs of Coronado excite readers with a heart pounding punch of adrenaline and thrills with side order of steamy and heartfelt romance. I was completely caught up in SEAL With a Past from the very beginning and I can’t wait to visit this SEAL team again.
A SEAL, a secret baby and a second chance at love if Dalton can keep them alive. Lots of action and fun. I will admit that as much as I liked Dalton and Kimber it was Werewolf SWAT loving, monkey naming Emma that stole my heart. SEAL with a Past isn’t rocket science but it is a fun, check your brain at the door, sweet and sexy read.
Paige Tyler’s SEALs of Coronado series continues with Dalton Jennings’ book; SEAL with a Past. For readers familiar with the series, we have known Dalton as the easy going, love `em and leave `em type, always giving his mates grief for being henpecked.
SEAL with a Past shows the deeper, emotional side of this hard as nails SEAL and his well-hidden broken heart. I love the plot to this story and that Dalton’s background is finally revealed. Naturally, Ms Tyler dangles an appetiser into the possible next story to come, with the mystery surrounding the weapons cache.
The character portrayals are well rounded, and the overall storyline flows well and keeps the reader completely engrossed. I loved this series when there was only three books, and I’m even more addicted now that we’re finally getting to know more of these dedicated and fierce warrior men on a personal level.
Thank you Ms Tyler, but I’m impatient, so please hurry up and give us more!!
Dalton is part of a team. SEALs. The guys were his family. The women he “dated” weren't around long enough to count. Imagine his surprise when an old flame, one he can't forget, shows up on his doorstep begging him to help return their kidnapped daughter—one he didn't know existed.
Old wounds have to be put aside to find their little one. The people who say they have her don't want money. What they want is priceless and dangerous. He has that team to help them. Along the way can they find their way back together or will Dalton be unwilling to forgive her secrets?
This one has it all, hot guys, cute kid, gorgeous smart woman, action, steam and characters you love to love. Another winner from Ms. Tyler
Dalton is not the type to settle down. Or so he wants his team to believe. All it takes to change his mind is the woman he's never gotten over even after five years to show up at his door and say his daughter has been kidnapped. From the moment Dalton sees his daughter's picture, a longing and a connection develops even though he's never met her.
Kimber left Dalton because she thought that would be best for her child. But when she finds herself in trouble, Dalton is the first person she thinks of to try to help her. He agrees to help her but can he get what the kidnappers want and also keep Kimber and his daughter safe? If so, will he be able to convince Kimber that they belong together?
Another great addition to the SEALS of Coronado series!
Navy SEAL Dalton Kennings is shocked to find Kimber Grant at his door...five years after she left him without an explanation. Whatever her reasons then, now she’s seeking him out because his daughter - whom he never knew about! - has been kidnapped.
If you enjoy a second chance love story with some almost James Bond-like antics thrown in, you will enjoy this one! The right amount of everything - suspense, intrigue, and of course, romance!
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book, however, this is my honest opinion.
This is only the second book I have read in this series, but I am definitely going to have to read all of the others. I love Ms. Tyler's writing style, and she seems to be knowledgeable about the actions of a navy SEAL. Hot heroes, strong heroines, and a good plot always make a good book.
This is book 5 in the Seals of Coronado books, it can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the books before this one just so you understand the teams dynamic. This one is about Dalton Jennings and Kimber Grant. Dalton and Kimber were engaged years ago and planning their wedding when Kimber broke it off with no explanation or even talking about it. Now she has shown back up, but only because she needs his help to rescue their daughter. The daughter she never told him he had. Kimber has never stopped loving him, but other things got in the way and she stupidly left. And then couldn't get up the courage to tell him they had a daughter. But for the love of her child she will do anything, including go to him, to get her back safely.
This was truly a great read. Dalton and Kimber have a lot of history and a lot of issues that need to be worked through. But even though he has never even seen his daughter, let alone known about her, he puts all that aside to try to help Kimber get her back. Dalton is one of those truly stand up men, regardless of what circumstances may be around, who will do the right thing for the people he cares about or is responsible for. This was definitely one of those good second chance love stories with a cute kid thrown in there too! My only drawback for it? I wish it had been longer!
Another great read from the SEALs of Coronado series, “SEAL with a Past.” This is Navy SEAL Dalton Jennings story. He is such a playboy, hooking up with women on tinder. Truthfully I was always curious about his story, why he was the way he is, that I was thrilled to see this is his story. From the very beginning the book starts off with a mission, the mission is to find a crashes F-35 Bravo. So the book starts off with action. But let’s not forget after the mission the guys where playing a zombie video game, “Call of Duty: Black Ops III,” when Kimber Grant knocks on Dalton’s door. Kimber broke up with Dalton years ago, five years ago to be exact. Dalton is finding he still has feelings for her but he is also angry for she left him out of the blue by a message when he was on a mission. When Kimber delivers some shocking news. Someone kidnapped there daughter Emma who is five years old, a daughter Dalton didn’t know he had. To find out what happens throughout the book I believe as a reader you should read the book to find out. I highly recommend this book.
I was given an advanced reader copy of this book for my honest review.
Seal With a Past is the fifth book in Paige Tyler’s Seals of Coronado Series.
Five years ago Dalton Jennings and Kimber Grant were together until she left without notice while he was deployed. Now she’s back and she wants his help to rescue their daughter who’s been kidnapped.
Dalton, with the help of his friends will do anything to save his daughter, even break all the rules. Soon Kimber and Dalton realize that the feelings they had five years ago haven’t changed, but can they put past mistakes aside to save their daughter? Will they survive the unexpected twist and turns? Read it to find out!
I didn’t expect to like this book, especially because of Kimber’s past choices with regards to Dalton. However, I was pleasantly surprised and I love Kimber and Dalton together. This is another great alpha military romance by Tyler that has a lot of non-stop action.
All the books in Paige Tyler’s Seals of Coronado Series contain a happily ever after and can be read as a standalone, however, reading it in order will give you a better appreciation for the characters and the series itself. I can’t wait to read Holden’s story in the next book.
I enjoyed this story a lot! It was well written and had great characters! This is a second chance story. Kimber and Dalton had been together years ago and when Dalton came back from deployment she was gone. She has shown back up on his doorstep with a bombshell. They had a daughter together and she's been kidnapped. Dalton and 2 of his buddies immediately get involved to help rescue the little girl. This story drew me in from beginning to end. I really liked the characters. The story flowed well and kept me engaged. The sex is explicit and fits the story. There is plenty of action and intrigue as they try and figure out who, what and why. This was a fairly quick read for me and one that I really enjoyed. I'm excited to get more of the team's stories. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
SEAL with a Past-Book #5 in the SEALS of Coronado Series-
What a fantastic book. Fast paced will grab you. Heartwarming and heartbreaking. When Dalton comes face to face with the women who left him 5 years ago, but with some shocking news what’s he supposed to do? She needs his help. It’s a dangerous situation and that’s putting it mildly. Of course he will help her. Soon Dalton is rethinking things between him and Kimber. He never stopped loving her. It’s like he’s been given a second chance with her, and with an added bonus.
Kimber knew who to go to for help. She only hopped he was still there. When she saw him again it took her aback. He was as handsome as ever. Even more so. She couldn’t go anywhere else. He was the only one she trusted with this.
This is the 5th book of the series, and it is really good. I was not able to read the two before this, but I love the overall effect of the book.
From the blast from the past, to the revelation, up to the action. Everything was nicely put. Each page gave us a the emotions that some people would thought was dead.
2 reunited lovers + 1 adorable daughter x action and adventure = a great read. It's always fun to see a confirmed player become a big ball of goo when a little girl calls him Daddy. Dalton's number one instinct is to be a protector and when the love of his life needs help he jumps into action, no ifs ands or buts, after all his daughter thinks he's a hero and he won't let her or her mother down. Like action with a heaping side of romance than this one is for you, a fantastic story to read alone or as a part of the series. Also, don't miss the adorable ode to Tyler's other amazing series, SWAT.
SEAL WITH A PAST wasn't bad, it just didn't do anything for me. I'm really not a fan of the secret baby trope, at all, but Paige Tyler mostly sweeps aside any issues or drama surrounding it. We know Dalton was angry because he tells us, but it's after the fact, and for the most part he just accepts Kimber's decision and moves on. A large part of the romance is reliant on Kimber and Grant's feelings from 5 years before so I felt fairly disconnected from their story because all the feelings were already there. At least it was short.
This book is Dalton’s story about an old love who left suddenly then returned when she needed his help desperately. What I really liked about this book was, yes, there is hurt involved on both sides, but both realized quickly to not dwell on it and move forward. Life is too short. The past is the past, bad decisions and all, but moving forward without the anger....awesome. Great read, great book in a great series. Looking forward to Holden’s story.
This one was just ok for me. I'm not a big fan of the secret baby trope, especially when the father is only told when help is needed. You kept the secret for good times, why not for bad, even though I firmly believe the father should be told up front.
Dalton did take the news good, jumped in to help right away and of course during the ordeal the ended up back together.
Dalton, Kimber & Emma- what a lovely family. After five years Kimber comes back in to his life telling him he is a father and that their daughter has been kidnapped. This was a nice story and the best part was how she took ownership of her decisions and still made sure Emma knew who her daddy was.
This is a great story of a second chance and a surprise family. The plot is well written with plenty of action, suspense, romance and intrigue. The characters are well developed. Kimber and Dalton have chemistry even after the 5 years they have been apart. My favorite was Emma she is so cute. I really enjoyed this story and can recommend. I look forward to reading the next in this series.
Oh my goodness talk about a whirlwind romance! Dalton and Kimber’s romance is so full of twists and turns that I had to finish it in one day. I really enjoyed how unpredictable this story was and highly recommend it.
I really enjoyed this story I thought both hero and heroine were perfect for each other. Plenty of action, land enjoy all the characters that the author pulls in. You wont be disappointed and looking forward to Holdens story. This entire series is good.
What do you do when you find out you have a daughter at the same time you find out she was kidnapped? You go all out, whatever it takes to get her back. Then you make her and her mother the most important parts of your world. Much respect for Dalton.
I think everyone who reads this book will enjoy it! I will recommend it to others! I love how the Seal Team is there for each other even when they are off duty!
Okay just an observation here, if you don't want a relationship don't take time off. It seems in all these books, these guys finally get some down time and they end up with someone coming into their lives to change it forever.
That's okay though. In this one Dalton gets more than just a visit from his past, he finds out he has a daughter. A daughter who's been kidnapped, the ransom computer chips made by the company Kimber, his ex, works for.
Dalton's teammates, Wes and Holden, aren't going to let him do this alone. So they all start planning their mission. First get the chips, then rescue Emma.
A renewal of a spark, plenty of suspense, and a few laughs to round it all up.
SEAL with a Past is the fifth book in the SEALs of Coronado series by Paige Tyler. Navy SEAL Dalton Jennings and Kimber Grant are a flash from the past. When Kimber shows up after five years to tell Dalton she needs his help, he is not expecting to find out he has a daughter and she has been kidnapped. What would a father do to protect his child even if he's never met her, anything needed to get her back and keep her safe? When the tables are turned and his daughter is safe but Kimber isn't answering her phone, Dalton is sure she's in trouble. Dalton gets in SEAL mode to protect the woman and child who own his heart. I loved this book, the story is original and the characters are amazing. This is a must read.
Lots of twists and wondering who the true bad guys were. But I am wondering why the first intimate scene sounds,or reads, like ever other book. Why do you say none of the other men she had ever been with had filled her so full when she hadn't been with any other man since she had been with this man, who is the father of her child? And this book desperately needs to be re-edited. I sure hope the last book in this series isn't as bad as this one is on the editing. Quality will keep readers better than quantity.
A beautifully told addition to Paige Tyler's series. Kimber and Dalton were once a couple. Now five years later they come face to face not only to come to terms with their feelings but someone has kidnapped their five year old daughter, Emma. Now the Seals need to come up with a plan.
You get action and suspense, reblossoming love between two former lovers and the heartfelt love of a five-year old daughter with her father. A very enjoyable read.
