“He was a mere man, I knew that, but he and his friends were treated like gods. It didn’t help they looked like it, too. Intimidating, perfect and deadly.”
“Exposed wasn’t the right word for how I felt.
Naked.
Vulnerable.
To my enemy.”
“He pounded, deep and slow, not worried if someone would walk in on us, and I both despised and loved that fact about him.”

“His ocean eyes, dark and hard—held the universe in them. A universe he was offering to me.”
“He stared at me like I was precious, like I was the stars he had searched for and I couldn’t breathe”

Facile plot line, and one-dimensional characters. The usual anodyne of uber wealthy, blindingly beautiful college guy, who somehow knows how to f*ck like a porn star. Gosh, I’ve never scoffed or eye-rolled as much as I did while reading this book.

“The only thing I was afraid of was my own mortality in front of him. Gods fell in love with mortals and demolished them piece-by-piece.”
“For three years, I’ve competed against Nathaniel Radcliffe. Always trying to be better, smarter, faster—anything more than him. And in a matter of seconds, all that had crumpled to soot around my sore knees.”
“I wanted to pretend that my heart beating inside of me was from my hatred of him and him alone, but I knew as he kissed me, my heart had already begun to betray my mind.”
“There was something untouchable, something holy and unholy about the boys. Sacred and sinful all at once. Bastards of Grace. Fame, wealth and power poured out of them. They were the things of legends and myths.”

He was a mere man, I knew that, but he and his friends were treated like gods. It didn't help they looked it, too. Intimidating, perfect and deadly."

“I don’t need your help.”
“No, you don’t,” he agreed. “You could get whatever you want without anyone’s help. You’re capable and strong, and intelligent. And you deserve all of the success I know you’ll have. More than I ever will, more than any bastards whose parents paid their way into Yale.”
I had fixated on Nathaniel Radcliffe as my enemy. He became a force that pushed me further, made a powerful energy thrive inside of me to meet him for every challenge.
He was already inside of me. Consuming me. Burning me. He had been for years and now I was laid out in front of him to feast on
“Gods fell in love with mortals and demolished them piece-by-piece. I had been fighting against the electric pull between us, but I was becoming hungry for more of him.”

He was a mere man, I knew that, but he and his friends were treated like gods. It didn’t help they looked like it, too. Intimidating, perfect and deadly.

There was something holy and unholy about the boys. Sacred and sinful all at once. Bastards of Grace. Fame, wealth and power poured out of them. They were the things of legends and myths.
I felt like delicate glass in his powerful hands. I fought him—thrust for thrust, kiss for kiss, nip for nip, and he met me each time, working each other to a pleasure so intense, I feared it would end us both.

"They were the Kennedys of our world."

"He was already inside me. Consuming me. Burning me. He had been for years and now I was laid out in front of him to feast on."When Juliette Monroe reports for her summer job as a maid at the Hawthorne estate, she is shocked to discover her nemesis, Nathaniel Radcliffe, is one of the guests. In fact, he is not just "any guest" but his family owns the estate. Juliette has done everything in her power to lead her friends at Yale to believe that she is spending her summer in France. Instead of living the life of luxury like her cohorts she is, in fact, desperate to keep her tuition bill paid and must work to earn her own way. Nathaniel, who had always been attracted to Juliette, uses her secret to his benefit. In order to keep her secret safe, she must agree to a secret summer affair with Nathaniel.
"Would you fight me the whole way if we fucked? Even when I'm deep inside of your pussy, owning, possessing you?"Told in dual POV, Filthy Gods is a fast-paced novella with forbidden romance, passion, and a staggering amount of alpha male energy! The intensity of the read is extreme as Nathaniel and Juliette's chemistry is off the charts. With the added conflict of having to hide from the other guests and their friends and family, the threat of getting caught is always looming. The secondary characters enhance the story greatly as it is clear the GODS are loyal to each other and the ones they love.

Gods fell in love with mortal and demolished them piece-by-piece

I thought I knew him, how he enraged me and then he brought out another, hidden emotion.
Lust.
Want.
Hope.
“I’m a greedy, overachieving bastard, Juliette. I examined the risks and you’re worth the fall.”
