3.5 stars. I liked this book more than the first 2 books and novella in this series. This book centers around the little sister of the previous FMC’s and her MMC who is introduced in book two. The MMC was adorable. He’s had a crush on the FMC since book two and in true romance book fashion he stalks her a little.

In his defense he has literally no clue what he’s feeling. He has little concept of emotions and they reproduce themselves in labs. He has no understanding of any type of intimate touch and the FMC is awakening all sorts of desires he can’t identify. It was really sweet/entertaining reading the hornball virgin FMC teach him everything.

The only reason I didn’t rate this higher was because I didn’t love the FMC. She was a little immature. Looking forward to the next book that focuses on the oldest Lyqa brother. He pulled at my heart strings towards the end of the book with his line to the FMC 🥺.

Thank you Black Jesus

This was every bit as good as I thought it would be. Even with Shay being extra as hell. This is a sort of sub-trope, the teach you feelings and emotions, that I really really love. The who done it, was perfection. And I enjoyed the relationship building so much. Everything about the characters reactions to the given situations were absolutely perfect. Especially the situation with Ah’Dan, I’m sorry I’m petty I know he’s been through a lot or whatever but that felt so vindicating. I found this one to actually be way more action packed and the world building of this one was also fun, particularly the species differences. I’m definitely starting to really get into this series.

LaShay!!!

I initially skipped this story because I wanted to go straight to Ah'Dan's story...but I enjoyed LaShay so much in his story that I doubled back. This was pretty cute. More drama than the other installments and I enjoyed it.

3.5 Adventurous Stars.

I think this might be my favourite in the series so far. A lot was going on here. The premise is that while Shay has been blatantly crushing on the 3rd Lyqa brother, Somii king, Sol, has been crushing on her. And his enemies have taken note, so they kidnap Shay and it is up to Sol and Shay to orchestrate her rescue and find out if they can be compatible with each other.

While Shay was at times a bit too stupid to live, I appreciated her openness as a character and how willing she was to speak her mind and live her truth and not change for anyone. Sol was incredibly understanding and accommodating, and went out of his was to create an environment even within his very different cultural background where Shay could be herself I loved that this book mostly focused on the two of them and the development of their relationship and I especially liked the small mystery of who in the Somii kingdom wanted Shay gone. If I have a criticism, it’s that Shay could be a little offensive about Somii culture in an unintentional way with the dismissive, flippant nicknames she gave people. But overall, this quirk made her less perfect and more interesting as a character.

I loved shays story! She has to be my favorite of the sisters because of her sense of humor! I was starting to feel like her and Sol weren't going to catch a break. I gave this book 4.5

Yay! Sheh got her boo!

This might be my favorite out of the three so far. Sol was able to feel things he's never felt before. Like literally. And Shay finally got the love and affection that she deserved. No one-sided begging necessary. The realistic fear Shay experienced was a refreshing change. I don't know anybody that would have dropped what she dropped and be okay with it. But Sol stepped up to the plate and took over. Super sweet. Like I said, this might be my favorite so far.

Sol is Everything!!!

Wow, it was such a great journey. It was absolutely fascinating to have a front row seat as Sol became more aware of his many different emotions. He was so sweet. These alien men are everything! Unfortunately, the female characters leave a lot to be desired. Their penchant for the melodramatic is irritating as hell. Amina was an over thinker which led to a whole lot of false assumptions on her part. Then Tiani was mean for no reason. Then Shay was just uncouth, loud, and extremely ghetto. With all of being said, I enjoyed it.

I didn’t keep my interest as well as the other books and honestly I didn’t really start enjoying it until about chapter 14, but it was likable. I definitely got a little bit of a Renesmee from Twilight vibe with Tami lol

The dialogues are interesting... And Lashay's constant use of the word 'dude' is unsettling to say the least. Especially in a serious/heavy conversation with Sol where she says: 'That sucks, dude'. I had to take some time and recompose myself.

4.5 ⭐️

This one was really good, I just couldn't give it a full rating because there were some minor issues I had with it - but that's just personal preference

My issues:

– Dual pov
– Dual virgin
– Alien H/human h
– No cheating, no OW drama/slight OM drama (read spoiler about issues above)
– HFN ending, not really an HEA since it was so sudden (though I do believe its an HEA-level couple) + NO epilogue :(

i need one too

Shay can’t wait to have an alien husband like her two sisters, but the guy she wants doesn’t seem to see it for her. Sol saw Shay’s face in her sister’s mind and immediately wanted to know her, too bad he has a kingdom to fight for.

I found this book to be good for world building and trying out a new species, but I also found Shay a bit annoying. I had no issue with the writing, but I don’t think Shay needed to be the sister that got to be queen.

That being said, if you like Interspecies romance and didn’t get tired of princes after Meghan Markle, this book is for you.

This installment of the Lyqa series is another fantastic read! I absolutely loved the main male character, Sol. His character development was remarkable! He is such a sweetheart and truly protective of his woman. Shay, the main female character, brought a lot of humor to the story. There were times when I wished she would calm down, and to some extent, she did, but I'm glad she stayed true to her wild self! However, my heart ached for Sol because of a situation involving Shay. Lastly, Ahdan was a bit too caught up in his feelings at times. Overall, I really enjoyed this story! It was romantic, action-packed, and heartfelt. Now, I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series!

Exceptionally good series

This book was so good! I mean it was so good I was laughing aloud in Walgreens. I'm sure people thought that I was cray! Sol and LaShay's story was a fun read! With great connections of what happens on Earth and other planets. The unknown of a species that causes prejudices, hate a hate crimes. Jealousy and envy too. It was good to see Ah'Dahn get his comeuppance. He had my girl pining for him and just ignored her. Another man's trash can easily become another man's treasure!

My favorite kind of hero

If you like the sort of alien hero who is a virgin and has never felt emotions before, then you will enjoy this story. The hero in this story is of the Somii race, which is on the opposite side of the emotional spectrum from the Lyqa. That gives the reader a chance to see the hero go through all sorts of feelings for the first time, which is one of my favorite romance tropes. There is also a bit of political intrigue at the end, but it isn’t overly complicated. I can’t wait to read more about the Somii.

I liked it!

This review written after I had read the other books. Where I didn't like the character LaShay, her hood chick snarkiness got on my nerves, I absolutely adored Sol.This book was my favorite of the series because I liked Sol so much. When he hook the egg and took care of it because LaShay wouldn't even look at it, that made me keep reading the book because I almost put it down because I dislike the LaShay character so much. Maybe if she has a lot of eggs she will be more likable. I think Sol deserves a dynasty.

Get yours LaShay!

Well, I figured Sheh (hehe) would get with someone who wasn't going to quite look like the Lyqas because they always said she was a weird one. And oh, was she weird in ways I wasn't expecting. Girl had me rolling!

I've given every other book 5 stars but this. It's really a 4½. I had trouble picturing Sol and a few other things. The photo on the cover versus how it was described kept getting to me. It didn't match the large figure versus the regular fit.

Other than that, I enjoyed the new surprises. Clarke has a beautiful mind.

Soluanitiat’ti Somiiti’un is from a planet where the beings communicate telepathically. He sees LaShay Bennet in the head of her sister Tiani after she is rescued from a near drowning. He is immediately attracted to LaShay and wants to meet her. When Shay is kidnapped by other aliens, he goes after them to rescue her.

They both explore each other once they escape the kidnappers. Once on Sol's planet, they have to deal with someone who doesn't want a human/Somii partnership and is willing to murder Shay to stop it.

sol for the win

We’ve got action! Shay is crazy and amped. Sol is obsessed and reserved. Definitely another adventure. Sol’s character development was A1! Liked this story a lot!

I figured the twins would look more human since they took a little longer baking than Amina’s twins. The author would give Shay the most sci-fi experience yet and I love it. Im glad the story didn’t end after the first resolution. Something is amiss.

Shay is kind of aggravating but she grew on me. I like that we get a look at some of the other beings from the Nikki Clarke Universe.

Technically it wasn’t a surprise pregnancy, because Shay ended up laying an egg 😭😭 but I still didn’t like the way it happened since it was her first time and she had no idea what she was getting herself into. Also MMC is 70 years old yet somehow kinda childish at times?

Each book keeps getting better!

I loved Kwarq and Amina’s story and then Bati and Tiani’s story took the cake but this one has surpassed even that!! Each book is so delicious and beautifully written. They are all so different that I don’t feel like the author is just using a cookie cutter formula.

Roller coaster ride…

Buckle. Up! I’m really enjoying this catalog. These tales are filled with possibilities that I could never have imagined. The attention to details. Awesome. One thing I appreciate that some authors miss when writing a series, the details change. The time lines get blurred. Here, they all jive.

This one has been my favorite of the series so far!

Shay has always had a thing for “weird” but somehow didn’t seem to fit in on Lyqa. I’m fully convinced it’s because her heart knew that she was waiting for her Sol to come to her. Watching her and Sol fall in love and blossom as parents was a pleasure.

Communication and Patience

It seems simple enough. We must recognize that the same actions and words mean different things to everyone. The results, when incorporated with perseverance, are wonderful and beautiful. Do I recommend this book? YES! Dare to explore the possibilities. You may see life differently!

Well worth the read

I have finally finished the Lyqa series and love each story. Even though I didn't think Shay would be with Sol but after the Bati series i could see why she was better off with him. Can't wait to see what else happens with this family

Their story was so pure and yet so hilarious. He was so unaware and she was so ready it was cute. Not my usual type of book but I’m glad I took a chance on something different.
