Bridge Over the Atlantic #2

A Year of Finding Happiness

Rate this book

Poignant, heart-warming and gorgeously romantic, this is a love-story with pure, unadulterated happiness at its heart. A Year of Finding Happiness shows you that the little things in life can make you smile, even when you think you might never laugh again...

Happiness doesn't factor on the deliciously rugged but utterly heartbroken Greg's radar much these days. Only his beloved Labrador Angus seems to understand his search for a way to make sense of tragedy, until he meets new neighbour Mallory Westerman...

Instantly they know that the other understands how they feel, and over time, as romance blossoms, they dare to wonder if they might, one day, be truly happy again...

There are two sides to every story, and after A Seaside Escape fans in their droves clamoured for Greg's side of the story - and Lisa Hobman was only too happy to write the book they wanted!

A YEAR OF FINDING HAPPINESS was previously published as BRIDGE OF HOPE.

I was lucky enough to receive an advance beta copy of this book...the companion novel to Lisa's first book Bridge over the Atlantic.

I was really pleased that Lisa decided to write this, from Gregs pov. Greg is everyones favourite potty mouthed scotsman and he just HAD to tell his story.

It is a beautiful story too.... with heartaches, laughter, romance all thrown in.

The way he struggles with his feelings when Mallory first walks into that bar.... I think we have all been there st some point or another in our lives.

Once again, Lisa draws you in to Gregs thoughts and feelings in a way that has you believeing you are right there in his world.

A standalone novel, this can be read by itself, but if you havent read Bridge over the Atlantic I would recommend that you do to get the full experience.

Absolutely recommended 5* read :D

I was supplied with an arc of this ebook from the publishers for an honest review.

Firstly, I must say I was so excited when I received this beta ebook I was giddy with anticipation, only true book fans would understand this emotion.
When Lisa announced on her fb page she was going to write a further book to coincide with Bridge over the Atlantic but in Greg's POV it created great excitement with her fans.

After finishing reading this beta book I wasn't disappointed. Greg's character is just brilliant. He's a man's man and also has such passion and emotion that women can't help falling for. I got emotional on many times reading this book. I could feel my heart breaking a few times for both Greg and Mallory and also Sam. This book has it all. Great character, great setting, great storyline full of warmth, humour, sadness, love and passion. Its a real page turner.

The book could be a stand alone but to thoroughly experience the emotions from all the characters it's advisable to read Bridge Over the Atlantic first.

Brilliant book, well done Lisa.

P.S. I think you should write for a Scottish tourist board as you make Scotland sound so idyllic.

Note: I was a beta reader for for this book and received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

When I started this book, I honestly thought how can you read a book that you have pretty much already read just from a different person's point of view? But, as I read, I began to understand. Bridge of Hope is told through Greg's thoughts and his point of view. Sometimes brash and never filtered, as that is how Greg is, the reader gets the "other side" that we didn't get in Bridge Over the Atlantic.

As I read Bridge Over the Atlantic I honestly found myself asking questions about what Greg did with his time while Mallory was out of town, or when she wasn't with him and he was on his own. "Bridge of Hope" answers those questions. And, just like the scene on the beach where Mallory and Greg said their goodbyes to their significant others, this book gives the reader one feeling in the end: closure.

The reader will find the full range of emotions in this book, running from laughing out loud to sentimental tears. You will find yourself feeling for Greg, pulling for him. Although I essentially knew how the book would end, it was interesting to see how the author, Lisa J. Hobman, would write it so that it wasn't exactly like the first book. Even though some of the same conversations were included (they were the best lines of the first book) others were summarized. Hobman did an excellent job writing this book and I would suggest this book to anyone who wants to read a love story from a male's point of view. **Note:I would strongly suggest reading Bridge Over the Atlantic first, as Bridge of Hope is the companion book. **

Note to readers, before you read this book I highly recommend that you read A Seaside Escape first which is the companion novel to this one. In the story A Seaside Escape, you read all about Mallery's story and that is also where you first meet Greg.

This latest book A Year of Finding Happiness  is the same story in part but it is told from Greg's point of view and you also discover his history and the experiences/journeys that he went through.

This was lovely read with a whole mixture of emotions from sad, joyous, heart breaking and happiness. It really was an all round emotional read.

It really was interesting getting to know Greg through his version of events, and boy does he like to swear a lot, even if he doesn't mean too lol. His passion and knowledge of music was astounding, thanks to him I've even discovered some new songs to listen to.

What I really loved about this book was the ultimate ending, I can't say anymore than that as I wouldn't want to risk giving any spoilers away.

So bottom line, if your looking for a heartfelt, emotional, funny and entertaining read then I recommend that you read both books mentioned above.

This wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for the constant mentions of terrible music.

By the way Jeff Buckley did not write Hallelujah. Please edit that out.

Seriously there were so many mentions of Hoobastank and Nickelback and I'm thinking "people actually listen to this music?" which ruined the rest of the story for me. Not that the rest of the story was great on it's own. But the main character fancied himself a musician and had the WORST taste in music.

Greg's girlfriend and almost fiance dies in a mountain accident. Mallory moves to his Scottish town and then on the day she is moving in HER fiance dies in a road accident. Greg is grieving for his ex until he sees Mallory and is then just drooling all over for her while she is trying to grieve for her fiance. Greg is a tool. Mallory is an idiot.

The only thing worse in this book was the constant mention of bad fashion sported by both Greg and Mallory. Wait no. The worst thing about this book was that someone played Hoobastank at a wedding.

This is a wonderful story about grieving and the slow journey of finding happiness again. It's refreshing to have a male point of view for a romantic book. The characters are so realistic and showed character development. You can't help but like Greg even though is rough and grumpy. I really enjoyed this book and will certainly read more books by this author.

i received this book for free from NetGalley in return for a honest review.

::..Reviewed for Red's Midnight Readers..::

I received an advanced copy of A year of Finding Happiness via Net Galley and I have given it 5 stars.

I LOVE Greg!!! Each time I meet him, I fall a little but more in love with his character. He's far from perfect, he's a man with Demons in his past that threaten to derail his future if he doesn't face them head on and with the help of Mallory, he does just that! Slowly piecing his life back together and finding happiness in the least likely of places.
As with all Lisa J. Hobman books she broke my heart into a million tiny pieces and then slowly pieced it back together one by one as Mallory and Greg found their way through their grief together.

There is always an air of believability to Lisa J. Hobman's books, aided by the use of rich and vivid descriptions of absolutely stunning locations. Her characters are always so real with actual flaws, that make them incredibly easy to relate to. Lisa really is a talented author.

This is not a light-hearted summer read per say, it's raw, it's turbulent and it's emotional. Lisa will have you reaching for the tissues on more than one occasion.
Again Lisa has created yet another beautifully written story that had me laughing and crying right along with these beloved characters.

A Year of Finding Happiness is a very well written novel. I enjoyed the plot and the well developed characters. This author is new to me and I enjoyed her writing. I have not read the previous book and that didn’t cause any problems with following the story. I highly recommend this book

This is a lovely and touching story of a man’s journey back to wholeness from the lingering grief caused by his fiancé’s untimely death. Greg McBradden suffers from nightmares of the loss of his love, Mairi, who died while climbing K2 and is dragged back into the memory by continued contact by her father on updates of belongings that are found a year later.
Greg finds himself drawn to Mallory Westerman, a recent resident of his town, and is fighting deeply embedded feelings of being a traitor to Mairi’s memory. Mallory who suffers from her own recent loss of her fiancé draws Greg out of his remorse into the light of life. Things do not run smmothly for them as they must find their path to a life together or fall apart.

Please do not read this review if you have not read "Bridge Over The Atlantic".

"Bridge Over The Atlantic" was such a beautiful, emotional read and definitely one that captured my heart. Now in "Bridge of Hope", not only did I get the chance to re-visit the story but it also gave me a chance to learn about Greg's life before Mallory came along.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I loved having the opportunity to really get to know Greg. To be honest, when I first met him, I wasn't overly keen, my first impressions not that great. Greg came across as short tempered, bad mannered and extremely grumpy! As "Bridge Over The Atlantic" progressed I did begin to warm to him, however because I had already fallen for Sam at the beginning of the story, I found it difficult to take to Greg. My heart belonged to Sam and I was not ready to move on! LOL.

Now that my heart has recovered, it was time for me to give Greg a fair chance. In this story, I felt that I truly got to know the real him and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked him. I discovered that behind that grumpy exterior was a deeply emotional, sensitive and vulnerable man. Who would have thought it! Not me, that's for sure!
We were a pair of broken souls with pieces missing and neither of us truly knew if the holes inside us would ever heal.
Finally I felt there was a place in my heart for Greg. I loved this softer side to him and I loved how crazy he was about Mallory. It was definitely love at first sight for him.
In that moment, I knew that I would do anything to help her find happiness. Even if it wasn't with me.
Even though I knew that eventually Greg would get his girl, I still found myself feeling sorry for him as he spent many weeks pining for her. Poor guy!
She had come along and saved me. I wanted to save her too.

I felt that this book was a perfect companion novel and I wish that I had re-read "Bridge Over The Atlantic" again before reading this one. If you have the time, I would definitely recommend doing this.

I am so glad that Lisa decided to give Greg his own book allowing me to see him in a totally different light. The author has truly written a brilliant addition to the first book. This is a must read for all fans of "Bridge Over The Atlantic" You will not be disappointed!
In my heart I held onto the wish that someday the bridge could become more than a sad memory. More than somewhere to cry.
I wanted, more than anything, for it to become her bridge of hope.

"Bridge of Hope" gets 4 Hearts from me!

Thanks to NetGalley for a copy in exchange for my honest review.

While the book was kinda slow in the beginning, it was nice to have a male perspective in the usually female type of book.

I saw after I read it that this is Greg's perspective and there is a first book in Mallory's point of view, which I think might have been helpful to read prior.

I loved the authors book Bridge over the Atlantic and couldn't wait to read the story from Greg's point of view. I wasn't disappointed!

I thought I knew Greg from the first book, but boy was I wrong. His sense of humour is brilliant in this book, he is laugh out funny much of it! The way he berates himself for saying things which upset Mallory is just so well done.

This book didn't affect me emotionally as much as BOTA did but in a way it was nice to read it without crying.

Lisa's writing is just spot on, she conveys the story we all know and love in a totally different way it seemed at times I was reading a story I hadn't read before, rather than a companion to a book I know. For an author to pull that off says a lot about their writing.

A great book and a definite must read for fans of BOTA.

This is a companion novel to Bridge over the Atlantic and it is suggesting that you read the first one to get the full ‘experience’. It gives Greg’s point of view and was requested by her fans.

It’s an amusing book and makes you smile and laugh aloud in places. The characters are great- so well rounded and interesting.

Greg was in grieving and when he met Mallory he was really taken with her. He makes mistakes with his relationship- he’s not perfect! But you get to understand his heartbreak and why he is struggling emotionally.
I would highly recommend this one.

Many thanks to the publisher and Net Galley for a copy.

This is Greg's story from Bridge Over The Atlantic. Although the story is the same, Greg's story is embellished by his past, we learn so much more about Greg in this book and makes you understand why he was a grumpy arse in the beginning. I loved seeing his POV and made me understand and love him all the more.

Another beautiful and poignant read from Lisa J Hobman. I have been on a bit of a Hobman marathon and have totally fallen in love with this authors voice. This is a book about loss, grief and unrequited love but at the end there is always hope. (full review to come)

This book has a very special place in my heart. The reason? Because following one small blog post in which I wrote a scene in Greg's POV I had such an amazing response from readers asking for more. So this book is dedicated to those people and written at their request <3

Greg lives in the Scottish town of Clachan with his faithful lab Angus when Mallory arrives in his life. Greg is struggling, his girlfriend was lost and presumed dead in a climbing accident, without her body ever being found he has struggled to move on but in Mallory he finds a kindred spirit as she has also suffered loss....... can they help each other move on and find happiness again?

A good story and although I found Greg a bit hard to relate to at first it was refreshing to have the story told from a male point of view

Greg and Mallory are both grieving and dealing with life after the death of their beloveds. Neither is looking for romance so when their friendship begins to grow into more.... I had not read the first book but I don't think that was a problem as this tale is told from Greg's point of view. He loved Mairi and didn't expect to find love again so soon. Both Greg and Mallory are nicely drawn and feel very real. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. This is well written and a quick read and, best of all, it does tug at the heart.

Thank you Saga Egmont Audio for this audio. It was heartbreaking but also full of hope. I like when people get a new chance in life. It is a special thing that not everyone can get. I always says life is difficult but is also something unique we just have to love. Here it was perfectly done.

Don't let the cover fool you into thinking this is another happy romance. The main character, Greg, (an unusual twist for a love story) has just recently lost the love of his life as he meets Mallory who immediately loses the love of her life. A lot of crying, moaning, and soul searching goes on for Greg as he tries to move forward with his life.

Okay, so I am an idiot! - At least I can admit it right?

Anyway…here’s why I am an idiot…today. I was looking on Net Galley, trying to find the next great read and saw the above blurb for Bridge of Hope and thought, well now that sounds interesting. I loved the cover of the guy playing guitar and said – okay let’s give this one a try. I completely and totally missed the little blue box off to the side that said “THIS IS A COMPANION NOVEL YOU IDIOT – DON’T REQUEST THIS IF YOU HAVEN’T READ THE BOOK IT GOES WITH!” Okay, so maybe it didn’t exactly say that but it was something to that effect. But when I went on Goodreads to add the book, I saw in big bold letters COMPANION NOVEL – and thought, well that’s no good – I’ve got to read the original book first and off to Amazon I went.

So, this review will sort of be a review of both books since I read them together.

Bridge of the Atlantic for me was a cute fun story…in the beginning. I loved Sam and Mallory, and honestly thought how cute these two found each other and she literally falls in love with him. He was such the perfect guy and I was like, sweet I can’t wait to stay tuned for this happily ever after. (Also wondering why this seemed like a completely different story than the blurb I read for Bridge of Hope – ummm, yeah)

Then, this book became a train wreck because as soon as the chain of events started I KNEW what was going to happen, but I couldn’t look away. I watched the story unfold and my heart was ripped out of my chest and pounced on. I cried, literally big drop, sad tears. And I fell apart.

For a while after that I had a hard time pulling it together. I struggled, not with the writing at all, I think this writer is a great story teller, but it was more the story itself. I was still not over it. Honestly, after all is said and done – I’m still not sure I’m over it. I’ve accepted it, but my heart still hurts.

And then we learn Greg’s story and damn if my heart didn’t break just a little bit more. Holy hell, how do two people like this find each other to lean on when their lives have completely and totally fallen apart.

The journey for me was a struggle. But in the end I was happy to have taken the trip. Now, that’s not to mean sometimes I didn’t want to shake the hell out of both of these characters – but to me, that’s just a testament to how invested I was in the story.

Greg’s story, Bridge of Hope, it completed me. I think I needed it. Reading them back to back like I did, almost made me wish the first book had been dual POV, because I wonder if I would have struggled as much if I had been able to know all of what was going on in his mind. What was going on in his beautiful, broken heart. For such a self-proclaimed grumpy arse…the love he had for Mairi and the way his heart became open again – I wanted to reach into the story and hug him tight.

The only negative I would have is the present/past back and forth. Once the incident occurs, I didn’t want to go back in time with Sam and Mallory anymore. It was too hard and I knew it wouldn’t lead me to anywhere good. My wish was that we had gotten through all their past/present stuff earlier in the novel so I didn’t have to suffer as long. And then I could have focused on moving forward and the future without being dragged back through the hurt. But, that was me!

All that being said I think Hobman did a beautiful job telling these heart-wrenching stories because the truth is, she didn’t just tell one story. She told both in BotA and gave us more details in BoH. If you read and love BotA, you absolutely have to read Greg’s story. It’s a MUST!

Bridge of Hope, Lisa J. Hobman
Review from jeannie zelos book reviews

This is a companion book to Bridge over the Atlantic which I've not read. That one seems to be written from Mallory's POV while this one is from Greg’s. I’ve read a few dual POV books, sometimes it works and sometimes it feels like I'm just reading the same story, and it loses impact. I really prefer getting them in one book, with alternating chapters but this one works as a separate book. I think because this one is so very “into” Greg’s mind and way of thinking it wouldn’t be a problem reading the two, but that they would complement each other.
So, there’s poor Greg, still grieving the loss of his girlfriend, killed while mountain climbing. No body yet and though they’ve had a memorial service he’s in a a kind of limbo. The village where he lives though is full of people that support him, and I love the way pub owner and his part time employer Stella pushed him in the directions he needed to go.
When he’s retelling his life up to now I couldn’t help thinking “ what a typical male” – I know men like him, who go with the flow, don’t question when they should, and then are surprised when all goes wrong. I don’t mean that meanly, just that some people are so trusting – and then poor Greg got saddled with the bitch-wife Alice. What a horror she was, like a hydra she kept coming back though...and again I though “ Greg- why? Why didn’t you deal with this before?” but I guess we all know people like that – who are easy going and trust everything will work out. Then after Alice there was his beloved Mairi...that must be so hard, not knowing exactly what happened. Then when he’s still learning to cope with that, along comes Mallory and if you could write a “how not to talk to a woman “ manual Greg’s words would be top! He's just so Open Mouth Insert Foot...poor guy. He doesn't mean to offend, far from it, he’s so kind and genuine, but there’s something about Mallory that just makes everything he says come out wrong.
Then she suffers heartbreak too and they slowly become friends – Greg of course wants more. He’s plagued with guilt still though and can’t believe how Mallory makes him feel. There are indications that she might return his feelings, but they’re mixed sometimes and instead of thinking maybe she feels the same kind of guilt as he does at times, he just convinced himself she doesn’t want him for more than just friendship, and he needs to move on – and boy, can that guy pick them! His relationship with Mallory goes backwards and forwards, and all the while when he’s mulling over what to do next I'm mentally screaming “ No Greg, just no!!” and of course its a book and he doesn’t hear me....
Its a beautiful story, full of heartbreak and happiness, and showing how easily we could let misplaced guilt and the opinion of others get in the way of true happiness. A perfect ending too – really wrapped things up beautifully.
Stars: Five, a great read. Probably a one off for me, but a book which will stay with my for a while because of the things it brought up that made me wonder “what if?”

When I saw Bridge of Hope by Lisa J Hobman was being released I was very excited. I loved Lisa first book, Bridge over the Atlantic, and I'd heard that Lisa was releasing a companion novel from Greg's POV, I couldn't wait to read his story.
I'm not usually a fan of reading companion novels. It generally feels like your just reading the same book over again and it's pointless. But because I really enjoyed Bridge over the Atlantic and felt that there was more from Greg's character that we were still missing, I wanted to give it ago.
Greg is a mans man. He's very passionate and a great character who you easily can fall in love with. I found it refreshing to read a story from another's POV that didn't completely just re tell the story that we had read before. You see so much more of Greg in this book as its his book. You see and feel all Greg's thoughts that you needed but was missing in the first book, which are heartbreaking and will take you on a journey of a million emotions. If you've read the book first book which I'm guessing most would of before reading Bridge of hope you'd know how Greg struggles emotionally and this book really goes in to more details about his emotional problems, he's personality shines through more, and we get to see a completely different man.
There was still loads of angst throughout the story. You have to read and go through some real emotionally hard issues like, death, desire, Losing love and finding out how to move forward from that and then learning to let love in your heart again.
I was hooked from the beginning and and I'm glad I gave Greg's POV a chance even though I'm not normally a fan of these sort of books.
The book was wrote beautifully and I think I love this book slightly more than the first book.
I want to tell you so much about this wonderful, Scottish man, who has a heart if Gold, but I don't want to give away any spoilers to people who have read Bridge over the Atlantic.
Just knew if you are a person like me, who doesn't read books often when there just wrote by the other main character because you feel your re reading the same book, trust me, Bridge of hope isn't like that. Your not reading the same story twice and it's worth every penny.
You could read this as a stand alone at a push, but I personally wouldn't recommend it. I think you need to read Bridge over the Atlantic first to give you more knowledge, but that's a personal choice.
Over all 4 stars. Great characters again, good story line, all questions were answered and reading more about Greg and getting deeper in his mind can never be a bad thing.

**I received this book from NetGalley for my honest review**

I have a confession. When I requested this book from NetGalley, I was completely new, no books approved, no feedback left yet. So I was requesting everything in sight. I didn't read the notice that stated this book is a companion to Bridge Over the Atlantic by the same author. So I was leary to read this at first, but after putting it off and putting it off, I figured I'd have a go of it, and see what happens.

I am so glad I did.

This book, was so cool, it was awesome. I'm not altogether sure of where it takes place. Overseas somewhere? or Canada? not sure, anyways, probably a small town, in a pub overseas. The main character reminds me of a mountain man type guy. Plus he was Scottish. His dialect throughout the book, at first was hard to swallow, but then it became part of his charm.

I fell hard for this man. I hate the term book boyfriend, but he's my boyfriend. He makes me want to get a plane ticket and fly somewhere and go to a pub and wait for him to show up and sing to me. He was charming in a ditzy clueless man way, he had the voice of an angel, and he was tortured, and he cried! because he lost his ex girlfriend, he had a sensitive side. I just loved him. and her, and them together. it was just a charming book, and the humor in it, this book had me laughing several times at him putting his foot in his mouth, he was so very good at it.

There wasn't much of a "conflict" so to speak, this book is basically about two people who have lost someone they love, and their shared grief, and finding each other and their friendship and love growing out of their grief. I'm a jaded reader and I kept expecting something to happen, an ex to come back to life, or some blowout and some drama, but with this book, there was none of that, and I can't tell you how refreshing that was. This book is a plain and simple no frills, no drama romance.

On the plus side, in case anyone cares, you can read this book as a standalone. I'm thinking book one is in her point of view?? I don't even know. I just know that I loved this book.

I was a beta reader for this book and give a arc to give a honest review.
Lisa has excelled again in writing Greg's point of view. I went on another emotional roller coaster ride with Greg and Mallory, I cried and laughed and cried again. Lisa certainly knows how to make me cry when it comes to Greg and Mallory.
My heart ached so much for Greg and Mallory in the dispair they both shared it was raw and powerful. I just wanted to jump into the book and hold the pair of them and never let go.
Greg never was the one for expressing his words very well, but brought them to life in his love of music and his beloved guitar.
Greg has the most terrible potty mouth but this made me laugh so hard I was crying with laughter.
The playlist was outstanding and complimented the book very well, "well done Lisa" Excellent taste in music.
Between Greg and Mallory they had so much grief combined and Lisa expressed this in the depth of there emotions, you actually feel like you are in the book standing on the sidelines watching these pair play out there life together, and watching there love grow into something speacial.
Mallory is such a deep and beautiful character but god I could have screamed at her because she kept pushing Greg away when she needed him the most, but she was confused and very lost.
Greg and Mallory are two of the most stubborn characters and needed there heads banging together lol which I felt like doing on many occasions.
Greg was a grumpy bugger at times but so was mallory.
Lisa writes the most beautiful, heartfelt, powerful stories with so much emotion and depth.
My heart will be with Greg and Mallory for a very long time, in fact they will stay with me forever.

When I first heard that Lisa was writing a companion novel I wondered how it was going to not be pretty much the same as BOtA with regards to their meetings, conversations etc. Bridge of Hope takes it to a whole new level though as we really see deep inside of Greg. Whereas in BOtA I might have thought Greg was a bit of a, well, abrupt not-very-nice-person, I totally fell for him when hearing the story from his point of view, and maybe thought of Mallory as the version of Greg from BOtA. He is such a sweetheart really but he puts up a barrier because of the hurt, betrayal and loss he has encountered in the past; he so desperately wants to break out but keeps messing it up and cursing himself (literally) for it. By the end of the book I cast aside all negative feelings I may have had at any point for both Greg & Mallory and thought of them as one of the same, as they both really have suffered the same but deal with it differently.

I laughed, cried, laughed, and cried some more whilst reading this. It really is a whirlwind of emotions and a roller-coaster of events that has shaped Greg to the person who he is, but I don't want to give too much away.

Greg & Mallory's relationship is such a rocky one but they both realise how desperate they feel about each other and both truly want a happy ending. You will have to read both books to find out if they knock down the barriers between them and get it... (To get the full effect of Greg's story and potty-mouth I suggest you read this in a Scottish accent).

This is a story told from Greg’s point of view from ‘Bridge over the Atlantic’. Greg is grieving as the woman he loved died. He is taking it one day at a time as he tries to heal from the loss of his woman. When he meets Mallory, he feels like the wind is knocked out of him as he develops feelings for Mallory. He tries to show her that he cares about, wants to be her friend and more, but he keeps making mistakes.

When his wife shows up, Greg begins to wonder if he and Mallory have a chance or if he’ll miss his chance at love again. Can Greg get things right with Mallory before he misses his chance?

Let me start this by saying I love it when author’s write companion books from the hero’s point of view. Seeing how they think, what they are feeling but may not be showing can be just as enjoyable as reading it from the heroine’s point of view.

I loved finding out more about Greg as he got to tell his story. He is a complicated man with a past that has affected him deeply. He is definitely not perfect, he makes mistakes with Mallory as he tries to figure out what the right thing is to do while dealing with the feelings he is developing for her. He does not give up no matter what happens between them.

I would highly recommend this book! I would suggest picking up the first book ‘Bridge Over the Atlantic’.
