Navy SEAL Luke gets a second chance with his only true love...

Luke Sheridan, a retired Navy Seal found his calling at a Ranch in Amarillo, Texas, a place where he could get the help he needed, and help others with PTSD.

No family, just a long list of foster homes that he’d never felt like was home, at the ranch, he expected to finally settle down to a place he could feel he belonged.

What he didn’t expect, was his past to cross paths with his new future in the form of his first love, his only true love.

Candice Lennon lived a hard life.

After running from an abusive foster family, leaving behind the only boy she’d ever loved, she met Damien, a man far more abusive than any she’d experienced before. She fought her way out, barely surviving, and accidentally ran right into the arms of the boy she’d left behind, only now, he was a man.

Still running from her past and suffering from PTSD from her abuse, she started to believe that just maybe, she had a future. When everything comes crashing down, and her past is revealed, her first reaction is to run, something she’s always done.

These two lives collide in a whirlwind of drama, romance, and dysfunction, both with their own pasts to resolve. Can they work together to rekindle what they once had, or are the circumstances too much for either of them to handle?

SEAL Do Over (A Standalone Navy SEAL Romance) (SEAL Brotherhood, 6) by Ivy Jordan SEAL Do Over (A Standalone Navy SEAL Romance) By: Ivy Jordan
What an emotional rollercoaster!!
This second chance romance rocks you right to the core...
She shows up battered, broken, bruised, & covered in blood after disappearing from his life years ago!
He's traumatized, sparred, & healing too, but what he wants to do the most is protect her from whatever is haunting her!
Can they come together again & fight her demons or will the past keep popping back up like a perpetual Freddie Kruger nightmare?!
I was gifted an ARC of Ivy Jordan's "SEAL Do Over (A Standalone Navy SEAL Romance);" I happily recommend it based upon its own merits. Ivy's a talented writer, & this book will definitely wring your emotions. All opinions expressed in this review are uniquely my own & freely given!
Until next time... Happy Reading!

Whew what a read this story was well drawn out Candace and Luke both had major issues to get through they both suffered from ptsd. Like after serving in the navy seals and Candace from an abusive relationship. Luke and Candace were young lovers they both lived in the same foster home until Candace ran away or so there foster family claimed. Luke thought of her from time to time she was his first love.

He went off as soon as he was old enough to serve the country now he is back in his home town working on a rehabilitation ranch. When he is sent off to get supplies he runs into a woman bruised and beaten she look familiar. Luke takes her to the ranch to get her the help she needs and to his surprise the lady he picked up off from the side of the road is Candace.

Luke helped Candace in every way he could even when it became difficult and he was struggling with his own ptsd. He was good for her, but Candace with her ex being a threat she doesn't even know if she wants to stay. Will Luke and Candace get their happily ever after or are they both too damaged.

This story is a slow read so beware there is no instant love. I found this story good, but there was something missing I know writing about ptsd can be hard I just wish we saw more of what Luke went through, I would recommend this story if you love reading about a broken heroine and hero who may get a second chance at happiness and love.

Luke is just starting to get his life on track, helping out at a ranch for the treatment and recovery of emotionally wounded veterans. It's near his hometown, but it was still a surprise when the bruised and blood-covered woman he finds walking along the road in a state of shock turns out to be Candace, his first love who was ripped away from him years before. Luke's protective instincts kick into overdrive and all he can focus on is taking care of Candace, regardless of what's happened in his absence.

Candace has survived a horrific nightmare and can barely hold herself together. The bulk of this story deals with her acceptance of both her past and the safety of her future. It was admirable to see her address her reliance on Luke, wanting to make sure she was making decisions for the right reasons and not just allowing herself to be tossed around by circumstances. This is an emotionally intense love story, with triggers that might be uncomfortable for readers who have had similar experiences, but each step is sensitively handled with attention to respect and personal dignity.

As part of the author's SEAL Brotherhood series, we get brief glimpses of Luke's fellow teammates whose stories were detailed in earlier books, but this book is a complete standalone romance. It's a wonderful book, my favorite of the entire series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

“SEAL Do Over” is an intense, heart-breaking story that captivated me from the first to last page. This is a story of two broken people suffering from PTSD who find each other after years of being apart. Luke Sheridan an ex Navy Seal is living on a ranch and receiving help for his PTSD. He finds a beaten, bloody woman stumbling down the road and takes her home. He discovers it is Candice Lennon his first and only love whom he met in a foster home. She has been in a destructive abusive relationship since running away from the home. When Luke finds Candice she is almost catatonic and needs help desperately. Can Luke protect Candice from Damien her abusive ex? Will Candice be able to confront and testify against Damien? Will Luke and Candice overcome the insurmountable obstacles to get their well deserved second-chance? This book is superbly written with drama, heart-ache, suspense, electrifying passion, danger, intrigue, hope and finally true love. “SEAL Do Over” is an excellent story you won't want to miss.

Driving to town for supplies while thinking of childhood memories Luke happens along a woman staggering down the road. Candace is Luke's girlfriend from childhood. He never knew what happened to her. She is covered in bruises and blood and he can tell she needs help and safety but she refuses to talk.

This story has been written from the perspective of a group that helps people find their way after leaving the military. I love the idea that this outs into place offering such a huge support system and a place for veterans to go. This book is not for everyone and can have triggers for some. It is a story of abuse and someone who has to overcome it.

Ivy has taken a great concept and offered a wonderful solution of a safe place for people who need help a place to go. There are several options of different therapies in place and a wide open space for everyone to get the help needed. I understand this is written in a fictional sense but I would love to see a concept like this to come to fruit. Great job Ivy on creating such a wonderful place for your characters.

It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of SEAL second chance romances, as well as a huge fan of Ivy Jordan. SEAL Do Over has to be one of the very best SEAL second chance romances ever written! My advice to you...grab tissues and something to drink because you’re going to need them both while being immersed in this story!

Ivy Jordan has gifted us with a masterfully written storyline, coupled with extraordinary characters
who grab your attention from the very beginning and refuse to let you go. These characters become real—we’re right there beside them through every emotion and every situation they face. To say this book is an emotional roller coaster ride is clearly an understatement. It’s a long and painful journey to the HEA, but it just makes it that much sweeter.

SEAL Do Over is absolutely a must read. Grab your copy today! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and was mesmerized from beginning to end.) ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Luke is a retired navy seal he never thought he would see the woman he used to love let alone find her battered. Candace left one abusive place for an even worse one but she hasn't left the danger behind because her ex isn't done yet. Luke agrees to look after Candace even though she doesn't want it but there is still a pull between them and Luke isn't about to leave her unprotected. Can Luke protect her from her abusive ex? Is there a chance for them to rekindle their spark?

This was a great story once I started I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Luke and Candace is intensely hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this to any book lover.

Luke and Candice gets a second chance when they meet. They have both got a lot of pain in their past which they have to come through. He has PTSD and she has had a really difficult life. Can they help each other and get a second chance?
A sweet romance with likeable charachters. Well written story with nice storyline and plot. The characters are very well described and they have an amazing chemistry. I like it is written in dual POV, which gives the reader both the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. That makes the story even more emotional and captivating. A story of nice length.
Absolutely engaging and recommendable.

Very good contemporary SEAL romance. Luke left the SEAL's after being injured and is living at a ranch that helps those suffering from trauma, PTSD or abuse. He's there to help himself and others. The ranch is close by to the last foster house he lived in. Suddenly, he comes across a beaten woman and takes her to the ranch. Turns out it's his first love but she's suffering and danger is stalking her. When called his SEAL buddies are there to help. The book had pages where it got slow but that was the only drawback I saw. The author excelled in what can happen to those dealing with such issues. It could trigger memories for some. It's an excellent book that's a stand with a HEA.

I love this series! Each of the brothers have their own stories to tell, and their women have their own struggles. Candace has such a devastating past, it’s hard for her to see ahead to a bright future, but with Luke, Aiden, Liam, Theo and Lyla, not to mention the wives/girlfriends, she’s quickly on the road to recovery...even if it’s a long and tedious path to get there. I cannot wait to see what’s next for these amazing men and their family. I’m voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

This is an emotional read that I couldn't put down. Luke is an ex Navy Seal suffering from PTSD and is working at a ranch that helps other veterans cope. Late one night he comes across a female all bloodied walking sown the street. When he stops to help the woman is almost catatonic so he takes her home only to discover it is Candice the only woman he's ever loved. Candice is running away from her ex. Will thay be able to help each other heal or will it be to much. I loved this story. The characters are life like making you feel as if you're there with them. This is a must read.

I received this book as an ARC.
This story might be a little difficult for some people to read because of the topics it discusses. It is however an extraordinary tale of grace and healing. Luke and Candace are both struggling with very horrible demons that could have had crippling effects on the rest of their entire lives. They instead lean on the goodness they remember in each other and find the strength to love again. It is a well written story and worth reading.

Seals Do Over is an emotionally packed book. It’s dark and gritty and light and hopeful too. The characters develop beautifully in this story and their storyline is painful but leads the way to peace. Definitely a story worth reading with caution for those who suffer from certain triggers. A great book. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.

This has been my favorite book from this series.. The love story between Luke and Candice is a great one! I absolutely love how it shows the seriousness of PTSD not only in military but other victims as well.. I also love how it shines light on the terrors people in the foster system can sometimes be put through. Ivy Jordan has recently became a new author and one of my favorites!!
