His mouth claimed, demanded, devoured. She clung to him, let him lead her, enthralled by the power and passion his kiss created. This was what it meant to want. To need. To desire.

I have yet to read a Lynn Raye Harris book and HOT SEAL Target was no exception. HOT SEAL Target was an action packed and sexy thrill ride and yet another fantastic installment in the HOT SEAL Team series that I've become obsessed with!

Back in high school Adam “Blade” Garrison once defended a girl from bullies. The girl was shy, overweight, and clearly infatuated with him, and she also became his best friend and confidant. Until he joined the SEALs and lost touch with her. Now, years later, Adam is on a mission to infiltrate a tech billionaire’s possible criminal operation and his ruse to get into the door is to play bodyguard to the man's wife. The shocker is that the wife is Quinn Halliday, the girl from his past, and she looks nothing like the chubby teenager he once knew.

The connection between Quinn and Adam was instant and full of pent up sexual tension. I also loved the way that Harris wrote Quinn's character in such a way that empowered her with the weight loss. This wasn't just an aesthetic thing for her, and I truly appreciate that. I also appreciated that Adam's interest in her isn't written as a sudden thing now that she's thin and beautiful. He recognizes that he also cared for the girl she once was, as well as his own selfishness and ignorance back then.

Quinn may be living with a tyrant that refuses to let her go, but she's not a weakling by any means. There's a quiet and unassuming strength to her that I really enjoyed. There's also a vulnerability to her that I couldn't help but connect with. Blade was like every single Harris hero I've ever read; intense, protective, and sinfully sexy. I loved his protectiveness towards Quinn and watching their connection blossom into something so much deeper than any of them ever anticipated.

Of course one of my favorite parts of the book was Ian's cameos, because let's be honest, I'm frothing at the mouth for more detail about the mysterious enigma that is Ian Black.

Another amazing HOT book and this one was extra good with lots of Ian Black. Adam/Blade had known Quinn back when they were in high school, and they were friends. They lose touch and she marries someone who turns out to be a traitor and really nasty. The HOT team with the help of Ian's Black Bandits swoop in to save the day. So good to see all the previous couples and now what's in store for Dirty Harry.

Love, love, love this story. It has a great blend of espionage, treason, murder, mayhem, kidnapping, and love.

This book reminded me alot of why I fell in love with Ms Harris's books. It took me back to her original story about Matt and Evie. There were a lot of similarities, yet the story was it's own. I love how she is able to blend Blade and Quinn's youthful history with current times and circumstances. They didn't try to brush it under the carpet but they talked about it.

This book brought out Ian Black and his "bandits". It put him in the middle of the events and showcased how much power he has. It will be interesting to see how much more of him and his escapades will be intertwined in future books.

A definite must read!!!!!

I have since listened to the audiobook. Aiden Snow is, as always, fabulous. You don't become my favorite narrator unless you are fabulous. He has that alpha, gruff and growly voice. Avery Caris pulled off the British accent for Quinn. She is steady even in times of stress.

This is Quinn and Adam “Blade” Garrison’s story. Blade and Quinn knew each other years before. When his latest mission has him as a body guard for a man’s wife he is surprised it is Quinn. She used to be chubby and shy. Now she is different but still the same in many ways. He can see the hurt and pain in her eyes. Quinn feels like she lives in a prison and her so called husband treats her like a possession. Wants out but has no way to escape. With her life in danger she now has a bodyguard. She knows the man. He is super protective of her and wants to make sure no matte what she is safe. When danger comes for her will he be able to protect her? Or will they take him out also? Will his team be able to help out or are they all about to lose out?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

Hot Seal Target was the fifth book in the Hot Seal team series by Lynn Raye Harris. Although enjoyable, the series does not have to be read in order.

I thoroughly enjoyed both characters, Adam “Blade” Garrison and Quinn Halliday. They were best friends as children then lost touch. Blade was assigned for an undercover mission and was hired as a security guard for the billionaire wife of a suspected traitor. Unbeknownst to Blade, Quinn was the wife and was now a prisoner in her own home by her very controlling husband. Harris took us through the backstories and the current conflict with a suspenseful vibe. It was action packed as well as a quick and fun read. I can’t wait to dive into the next book, Hot Seal Hero.

Man was this book good. This one was kinda different from the usual ones because HOT wasn’t in it as much and it was never their official mission, but more so Ian’s. Adam was assigned to work with the Black Bandits on this mission and go to Hong Kong, which took him away from his team for a majority of the book.

However, this book didn’t lack anything and if was pretty dang fun since we were dealing with Ian for a major part of this book. (Makes me so excited to dive into the Black Bandits and eventually Ian’s story!)

Anyways, Adam is just like the rest of his team, tall, handsome; dangerous, tatted up, sweet and caring. Really the perfect man if you ask me (also I forgot to mention he likes kitties-the actual animal ;)).

So when Adam is assigned by Black to go to Hong Kong to guard an old friend, the last thing he expects is to fall in love with her. But as usual with these guys, it happens. The difference is Adam is pretty quick to admit it (at least that he has feelings for Quinn anyway). Problem is Quinn is married and so unhappy.

Adam respects that she’s married but he sees how unhappy she is since she’s a literal prisoner in her husbands home, and he vows to get her out and save her. Luckily for him, he husband gets murdered, unlucky for him, Quinn is now in danger.

Back in DC things get intense and the HOT Seals finally get to help, although they’re not officially HOT, but instead apart of the Black Bandits.

Now I think what makes this book perfect is the friendship that Adam and Quinn have that turns into love. Both are pretty confident in their feelings for each other and don’t shy away. Adam is literally so romantic and sweet to Quinn and we love to see it.

Now onto Ryan’s book, which based off the epilogue, I’m gonna really enjoy this one.

Hot SEAL Target is my NEW favorite book from Lynn Raye Harris! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED this book! Loaded with HIGH OCTANE suspense and sizzling passion, this book had it all. The hero, Blade made my mouth water and had me loving his personality and the way he took charge and cared for Quinn as he penetrated a VERY bad man's lair.

These sexy SEAL stories from Miss Harris NEVER get old. But I have to admit, this one managed to top all the other ones. The storyline and plot were AMAZING. It was action packed and just had something special that made it impossible not to love. Blade and Quinn make for a heck of a splendid couple. What a ride!

Hot SEAL Target gets a FANTASTIC NINE AND A HALF STARS!

This latest installment in the HOT SEAL saga had me up all night! Literally I downloaded it and said I’ll just read a few pages before I go to sleep...and then my alarm went off! I couldn’t put it down!!! I think Blade may be my favorite SEAL to date! So happy he finally found his HEA...and proved the old adage that you don’t know what you have till it’s gone...While we may not be able to relate to the suspense and intrigue in this story, most of us can relate to unrequited love, being friendzoned, and the one who got away...but fortunately Ms Harris believes in second chances!

Uh huh. Okay. But first, let me tell you all about this amazing deal I can get you on waterfront property in Arizona. I got a bridge for sale, too, if you're interested.

I'm not saying that a dozen dozen gushing and overly excited five star reviews that all use similar language are outright fake, but I don't exactly trust them... I'll wait a while for this one.

Another great entry into Ms. Harris's HOT SEAL series.

I loved Blade (Adam Garrison). He was the quintessential bodyguard (even as a teenager ;) ). Great chemistry between the H/h. My favorite part of the story was how much better we got to know Ian Black and his Black's Bandits team, clearly setting up some intel and heroes for future stories.

I felt that the climactic battle was a little anticlimactic--it was set up to be so much more intense, imo, but it felt more like a staged fight rather than an organic rescue.

Lynn Raye Harris does it again with her hot, sexy, alpha men who love their jobs and women, and no way will they ever be tied down. Expect the unexpected and the unpredictable. It has everything you'd want in a good story: tension, passion, deception, suspense, and mystery. There's frustration, fear, desperation, lies, mayhem, heartache, revenge, war, chaos, death, hell, and fate that is inescapable.
It is an awesome tale that I couldn't put down. I was so enthralled with this world that Lynn has created. The complex characters are wonderfully written and become a part of you. This is one author whose other work I will be reading for sure.
is a thrilling and intricate book filled with action, featuring alien beings, supernatural entities, humans, and magic. The fast-paced plot is full of uncovered secrets and yet-to-be-.
If you're looking for a captivating read, then this book is for you.

Let me just start off by saying that Lynn Raye Harris did her thing with HOT SEAL Target. The story of Adam "Blade" and Quinn set me up for a very emotional journey from the beginning to the end. Blade and Quinn met when they were younger and the kids use to pick on her and Adam came to her rescue. He became her hero. Adam left and they lost contact. Fast forward to the present. Now he has been sent in the spy on Quinn's husband Hunter and little did Adam know that Quinn was the same person he left behind. Again she set off his protectiveness and now an attraction that's off the charts. This book is full of action, mystery, suspense, how and steamy love scenes but know that I didn't know whether to be sad, angry. I wanted to fight Hunter. Be prepared for the ride of your life. Let me mention that I love me some Ian Black and his Bandits. I can't wait to read his and his bandits stories.

Firstly, I loved this book!

I loved Blade and everything about him.

The story with Quinn is brilliant, suspense, action, coitus as you’d expect with Lynn’s HOT team BUT

And there’s a big BUT...

It’s Ian Black and his Bandits that stole this show for me. They don’t have full air time but more than enough that I got the “yay” thought when they appeared on page.

The newest HOT story is an action-packed, high energy five star adventure! Blade is a super sexy, tattooed Navy SEAL posing as a bodyguard when he’s reunited with his shy high school friend Quinn who has transformed herself into a curvaceous and sophisticated woman. And while it seems that Quinn has everything money can buy, she’s miserable being married to a possessive and abusive man and Blade has no intention of leaving her behind. Before he gets the evidence he needs, Blade’s mission goes sideways and he and Quinn are forced to run from sinister forces that would see them dead. As with all HOT SEAL adventures, there’s plenty of danger and all that adrenaline leads to steamy sexual shenanigans that can only be described as hot, hot, HOT! With Blade’s SEAL teammates and Ian Black’s mercenaries along for much needed back-up, Quinn and Blade’s high octane love affair is absolutely explosive. You’re going to love this book! I read an early copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

HOT Seal Target is another great sexy, suspenseful romance story by Lynn Raye Harris. I love a good second chance romance, and this one is HOT! Blade protects his woman in grand style. There are many twists and turns, and I could not put it down!! A bonus to this book is that you get to see a lot of the mysterious Ian Black. He is large, in charge, and funny! I can’t wait for the next book.

Another great HOT SEAL novel by Lynn Raye Harris. This story was filled with suspense, action, sexiness and a great couple that you fell in love with from beginning to end. Adam "Blade" Garrison gets temporarily assigned to conduct some covert work for the infamous Ian Black. His cover is to serve as a bodyguard for the suspected criminal's wife who also happens to be his former high school friend Quinn Halliday. There are lots of twists and turns, challenges, revelations as well as action that keeps the reader thoroughly engaged. I received an ARC for an honest review of this novel. Happy Reading!

This book in the HOT SEAL series is about Adam "Blade" Garrison and his childhood friend Quinn. From the first chapter, I was on the edge of my seat and never relaxed until the last page. As much as I tried to second guess how characters would react, there were twists and turns that kept me from putting it down. Including Tigger. Seriously. I almost jumped ahead I needed to be reassured about Tigger's whereabouts.

My favorite parts were the team working together. As always, I enjoyed seeing old characters make more than a quick appearance or only a mention. Ian Black and a few members of his team (Brett, Jace, Colton) play a large role in this one. We learn more about them, including his secret high tech clubhouse. I want Ian's book (come on, Harris, you're teasing us!), but I've had a new yearning for Alex "Ghost" Bishop's story over the past few books.

As the author has done before, there's a life-changing vulnerability/tragedy one of the characters has experienced. This one is about Quinn's weight from when she was a child and how her insecurities still affect her. As always, it's handled realistically, but also sensitively. I wondered if Blade's change of interest in her would be addressed and it is in a very honest way.

Another highlight... At the back of the book is a list of characters from the Alpha, Echo, SEAL, Black's Bandits, the freelance contractors, as well as the books with the hero/heroine's names. Bonus for who is up next in each series (except for Black and Bishop - come on already!!) SO helpful and appreciated!!

Next up: Ryan "Dirty Harry" Callahan.

I received an ARC from the author for an honest opinion.

I never, ever get tired Lynn Raye Harris' "Hot" novels. Each one is unique - a stand-alone Romantic Suspense story packed full of action, adventure, and swoon-worthy moments. They're all part of a larger story arc slowly coming together over time, and it feels like I'm watching a master Quilter piecing together an intricate pattern.

I can make out each block clearly and appreciate its beauty alone, or look at it next to other blocks that are meant to complement each other (like the HOT Seals series) in the same section to see a larger picture begin to emerge. And then there's another, larger set of blocks already placed (the Hostile Operations Team books), providing a complimentary background palette. Without the background it's still lovely, but put it all together and you have a masterpiece. (The Needle arts, like Romance novels, have traditionally been - for the most part - women's art: created by women, for women.)

The diversity and depth of characters is what keeps me coming back to the HOT books again and again. I can reread these books and find new details about them to enjoy each time.

"Hot SEAL Target," is a second chance Romantic Suspense tale, but not exactly what most Romance readers might expect from the genre. Those of us who read Romance extensively are probably familiar with Second Chance stories. They usually involve a guy/girl who had a True Love, but made some kind of bad decision or had an epic misunderstanding/betrayal and broke up. Or the star-crossed young lovers tale of accidental misunderstanding, parental interference, things like that. The nice thing about a Harris "Hot" book is that you've never going to get a cliché.

Blade/Adam and Quinn's story is full of action, suspense, and adventure (because of COURSE!), but their past is so sweet! It's not the usual angst of High School Love Gone Wrong or anything like that. In a way, their story is more of a natural progression of friends to lovers. It makes perfect sense, and I enjoy that so much more than "instalove".

The dynamic between these two is so different than other couples in the "Hot" universe. Maybe that's partly because of the setting - Hong Kong - or maybe it's because we get to see so much more of Ian Black than we ever have before? (Believe me when I say that I am not complaining at all!) Quinn is real sweetheart of a woman, and Blade is a genuinely good person who's always been able to see her beauty, even when he was too young and stupid to love her as more than a friend.

There are beautiful messages gently woven into their story that I think many of us need to hear, and more importantly, believe: we are all beautiful on the inside, no matter what we look like on the outside; and no matter what happens in our lives, we deserve to be treated with respect and kindness.

You don't have to read other Hot books to enjoy "Target," but you'll get a whole lot more out of it, if you do. There's action and "sizzle," but not quite as much as some of the other "Hot" books. If you like spies with questionable morals, undercover Navy SEALS, second chance love, steamy love scenes, and a touch of Hong Kong Kung-Fu awesomeness, you've definitely come to the right place. Pull up a chair, call in an order from the local Chinese place down the street, pop open a Tsingtao, and make yourself comfortable. You won't want to stop reading once you get started.

Not many of us get a chance to confront the things we should have done in our past ... and a person we missed getting to know is rarely thrown right in front of our future.

Adam “Blade” Garrison happens to speak Chinese and that puts him at the top of the list to protect an old friend. But when Ian Black is involved, Blade knows that nothing is going to be straight forward or as expected. He’s assigned to Black’s Bandits and without the support of his HOT brothers, who to trust is the least of his problems when Adam sees the strikingly beautiful Quinn again.

Quinn may have have transformed herself from the overweight, bullied girl she was, but she has found herself in the worst capitulation of that shy stereotype... and she refuses to play the victim in some ways, she knows her jerk of a husband is playing on her worst fears to control her in others.

Blade must infiltrate Quinn’s husband’s inner circle and save the proverbial day ... which is proving harder to do when he finds out exactly what a billionaire jerk she’s married to and not knowing if Quinn is intentionally or unintentionally involved in the shit-storm Hunter has created that could severely impact Blade’s American Brothers-In-Arms.

Hunter Halliday is the epitome of a megalomaniac and from the moment Blade sees Quinn again, his struggle to bury his new feelings for his old friend and NOT rearrange Hunter’s face make for an exhilarating and sexy read.

When Blade finds out how bad things are - both for Quinn and for the corrupt, threatened and out-of-time Hunter - is there any way for Adam to bury those HOT feelings for Quinn again?

Can Blade trust Quinn, and can he stop Hunter without his new peeping-Tom employer being suspect of him?

When it’s a matter of her life, can he trust Ian Black, and will Adam be able to deny his own desires to protect the painfully alone and sexy Quinn a second time?

This one left me fanning myself, screaming out loud at Hunter for being such a jerk, and lusting after the swaggering and sultry Black and his secretive Bandits once again.

And can someone please tell me what the hell is wrong with Ryan “DIRTY Harry” Callahan?! [That teaser MAY-in-fact kill me waiting for the next installment of and adventure with Lynn Raye Harris’ HOT hard-bodied bad asses!!]

Hot Seal Target is the 6th book in the HOT series, it takes you on a journey of friendship, survival and love.

Adam “Blade” Garrison met Quinn Evans now Halliday in high school when he defended her from bullies taunting her for being overweight, from that moment on Quinn was his shadow and they built a friendship that faded away once Blade joined the Seal’s. All these years on and Quinn is a whole new woman, except she is not. Quinn may have lost all her weight and gotten married but pictures are not always perfect, they hide a sad, lonely and trapped woman who now dreams of escaping.

Blade is elite, his training and actions put him in a league of his own. He knows his missions and what is at stake, he is loyal and can’t deny he wants to be the good guy. Quinn went from being shy and zero confidence to building a life she loved, her relationship dragged her down to a level that broke her, finding her inner strength to save herself and let someone in to help.

Blade and Quinn were very close all those years ago and now that they are back in each other’s lives, Blade reveals that he did have feeling for her but held them back because of her weight, admitting that he was wrong. They have an abundance of sexual tension that is simmering away, Blade tries to hold back as she is a married woman. When they come together the sparks are flying and they cannot get enough of each other.

Lynn has proven again that she can tell you any story and have you holding on for dear life while you ride the rollercoaster. Hot Seal Target flows seamlessly between both characters giving you the feeling that you right there with them.

I personally really liked this book and would highly recommend it, if you haven’t read the previous HOT books I suggest you do, each character through this book has a story to tell. I cannot wait for the next book, I wonder which HOT team member is next.

This is the first book by Lynn Raye Harris that I have read, but it won't be the last! I enjoyed this book very much. It was action packed with incredibly well written protagonists and a love story set amongst the background of several cities, primarily Hong Kong.

Adam and Quinn went to school in Hong Kong together; they both had parents working for an international bank. Quinn was a chubby redhead, and was therefore bullied. Adam stepped in to stop it happening, and then Quinn followed him around. They eventually became friends, although he was oblivious to her crush on him.

They kept in touch for a while, but he went into the navy and they drifted apart. When Adam is tasked with going to Hong Kong to go undercover as a bodyguard for a rich American's trophy wife because the husband is suspected of some very shady dealings, Adam baulks at first, even though he knows he's been chosen because he speaks Cantonese. But when he finds out the trophy wife is none other than Quinn Evans, he can't resist the temptation to see her again.

Quinn has worked hard to transform her appearance over the years. She lost all the weight she had when she was younger and her self confidence soared. She married Hunter Halliday because he swept her off her feet, but after the ring was on her finger she discovered - the hard way - that she really didn't know the man she'd married after all. He sees her as one of his most precious possessions, not a partner. She's stuck in a marriage she wants out of desperately, but there seems to be no way out.

Until her new bodyguard turns up. Quinn can't believe Adam is standing right in front of her, but she doesn't let on she knows him, fearful Hunter will send him away. Once Adam learns about the state of the marriage, he's determined to do whatever it takes to get her out of it.

What follows is a story that will keep you up long into the night. If you love SEALs, mysteries, and an amazing hero and heroine you'll be cheering for, read this book. Now, I need to read the rest of Lynn's books :D

"I've spent so much of my life doing my own thing that I didn't think anything was missing. I was wrong."
"I've always known something was missing. I didn't know it was you."

Oh, these men of HOT!!! What's not to love about their towering height, their rippling muscles, their protective natures, and their alpha ways? Not to mention those cool nickmames! I love this series!

Adam "Blade" Garrison will do anything to protect his country. Even if it means working with Ian Black. With National security on the line, he needs to find out if the man with whom the goverment has struck a military contract, has devious designs on obtaining US secrets. One way to do that, is to be hired as the bodyguard to the mogul's wife, Quinn. She's no longer the chubby girl he knew in high school - the one he defended and protected against the bullies. The one who became his best friend before he ghosted her. She's changed. She's sexy as hell, strong, and he can't deny the attraction. But, now she 's in grave danger from both her husband, and those determined to make him pay, if not in cash, then in blood. Can he get her out in time? Or, has time run out for both of them?

Quinn Evans Halliday was a fool. She believed the man she loved was everything she could ever want. He was handsome, wealthy, and he treated her like a princess. That all changed once they were married. Now she was nothing more than a prisoner, one with round the clock security. But, she's not going to mind being guarded by the new guard her husband hired. Adam Garrison. He's even more handsome than she remembered. Bigger and stronger too. Could he be the key to her escape from this hell? When both their lives are in danger, will they make it out alive, or is this the end of any chance at happiness?

This is such a great series. Each book has a great story line, wonderful characters, suspense, drama, a little humor, and lots of romance and steam. I love Ian Black and his one-liners - so great! And the HOT SEALs are the men of which fantasies are made. I know the chances of me meeting a six-foot-three, ripped, SEAL, one who comes to my rescue no less, is pretty slim. But this series gives me just a glimmer of hope. Hey, you never know, right?

Adam "Blade" Garrison is chosen for a specific assignment because of his background. He's pulled from his SEAL team to work with Ian Black's mercenary group to infiltrate a suspected criminals business dealings to determine if the new contract with the US military is going to be a case of espionage. His assignment is to be body guard and protector for the wife of a billionaire. The only problem is that Blade was once good friends with this wife when they were in high school. However, she looks very different than she did eight years ago and Blade's not so sure that he can be impartial to way she is treated by her husband, who only thinks of her as a possession.

Quinn Halliday is resigned to her life as a kept woman by a man who sees her as nothing more than a possession. She just wishes that she could find a way to get out of the marriage and live her life the way she wants to live it. Her chance may come when she is introduced to her new bodyguard. However, she has to pretend that she does not recognize him or he won't get to stay.

Blade has an assignment to complete, but he now has a new mission, to get Quinn away from her husband who is in very deep with too many criminals to be safe for either of them. He will do whatever he can to keep Quinn safe.

I loved this book and I love the characters in the HOT SEAL Team series. Ian Black is a great character as are all of the SEALs. The characters are all so well rounded and developed and they seem so real. I love that these guys all work so well together and that they can call on each other whenever they need anything, not just as a SEAL Team but as buddies as well. These books always leave me wanting more and this one was no different. I love Alpha males in these books and the women who make them lose their heads so easily and make them so vulnerable. Great book. I give this book a 4.5 star review and look forward to more of the team as well as Ian's teams books.

I was lucky enough to read an ARC of HOT SEAL Target...lucky because Lynn Rae Harris’ HOT series is an automatic must read for me. This newest installment is phenomenal. Adam ‘Blade’ Harrison is a kickass hero who is tapped for a special assignment with Ian Black and Black’s Bandits. He is headed to Hong Kong to be the bodyguard of a woman married to an American billionaire. Quinn Halliday was Adam’s friend in high school.

Quinn’s husband is suspected of a very dirty businessman and Blade is sent in to be her bodyguard while looking for information for Ian’s
company. Blade quickly learns Hunter Halliday is one sick and malicious man who treats his wife horribly.

In this book Lynn Rae Harris takes us to Hong Kong, where Adam grew up and learned how to fight. His connection to Quinn is intense and immediate, but she’s married to his suspect and their past association can’t be discovered by her husband without jeopardizing Blade’s undercover task.

The action quickly takes off, and Quinn and Blade both discover how deep their feelings for each other go. Blade work with a couple of Black’s Team, and later the rest of Blade’s team gets in on the action.

I loved ready how Quinn found the courage and inner strength to make such dramatic changes to herself physically, yet emotionally she was still growing...losing 120 pounds didn’t make her into a different person on the inside. Adam/‘Blade’ was really close to Quinn even when she was overweight, and he recognized and admitted his own shortcoming in being physically attracted to her only after such a dramatic physical transformation.

This is as awesome as the previous HOT books, and each one gets better. I loved this couple together and enjoyed getting quick glimpses of previous main characters.

ADAM GARRISON is perfectly happy with his life as an agent in the covert special ops Hostile OperationsTeam (HOT). Then he's "loaned" to Black's Bandits (a covert mercenary group) for a bodyguard mission in Hong Kong. Adam, knicknamed Blade, has a long history with QUINN EVANS HALLIDAY. She's now the wife of a supposed billionaire businessman who is suspected of treasonous activity. Hunter Halliday is arrogant, cruel and privileged. Quinn is caught up in her husband's deceit. Blade must guard her, while deciding if she's a conspirator or prisoner. Quinn remembers Adam as her high school hero, saving her from bullies and as her friend, but never more than that, despite her crush on him. When he reappears again in her life, she's afraid to be optimistic. But Blade is still a hero and the situation they are drawn into makes life very dangerous. Blade must use all his skills and instincts to safely navigate the situation he finds himself in, including falling for Quinn. And he has to trust the shadowy and questionable Ian Black and his merry band of bandits to safely proceed. Black is charming, intelligent and skates the line of law in many cases. His set of values and moral code, although murky, seem to fall on the side of right in most cases.. Black's sarcastic humor adds a delectable bite to this book. This is a captivating, intricate story of intrigue, treason, friendship and loyalty. Quinn's need for help and Adam's need to help her is the root of the story. Black's Bandits and the HOT Team are there to add to the heartfelt, humorous and heartstopping aspects of the story.. Another amazing success in this series of mysterious alpha men and courageous interesting women.

I enjoy this one.
The setting is mainly in Hong Kong where Blade grew up. His parents move a lot.

Blade is assigned to be an undercover bodyguard to Quinn. She is his friend when they were high school in London. Although after graduation, they just grew apart. Life happens and after 8 years they rekindle.

When they were young, Quinn idolised Adam/Blade. He was her only friend and hee protector from the bullies. Quinn was always has a confident issue due to her weight. She was overweight and chubby girl and she wasn't comfortable in her own skin. But Blade was always find her charming and kind hearted.

Fast forward, Blade joined the Navy Seal and Quinn successfully lost her weight drastically thanks to her hard work and she became a fitness blogger. When Hunter, a (much older) billionaire approached her and being too nice to her and her father, she fell hard for him. They married but from there, all hell loose. Hunter was not a good man. He only see Quinn as a trophy wife. He is an abusive husband (physically and emotionally). Although Quinn was already comfortable in her own skin, Hunter always make her that she doesn't skinny enough.

What happened to Quinn is a common problem with us, especially woman. IMO, we always be insecure with our appearance. But for me, the most important thing is that we are happy and comfortable with ourselves.

Blade helps her to escape her "prison" and they pick up where they left.

The most interesting part is Ian Black's gang. The leader, Ian is a fascinating character and now we get a glimpse of his team. I can't wait to read their story.

This is the 6th book of the series. However, you will understand more if you’ve read the Hostile Operations Team (HOT Team). Also, there are other books in the series I would read before continuing onto the series as it will help with understanding.

If you want to read what the book is about, read above the reviews.

Our hero gets handed a task from his commander to get in and get information for one of their other partners. However, once he finds out more about the mission he finds out one of his best friends from childhood is the guy’s wife. He tasked with bringing her in if she’s behind it as well. He believes she isn’t in on it and when he gets there he finds she’s a prisoner.

Our heroine hates her life. She had such promise when she married but her husband turned on her and made her a prisoner. If she loves anything he takes it away and makes sure she’s as miserable as can be, so when the hero appears, she can’t show any knowledge of him because he’ll make him disappear too. When the hero takes her and has her run for her life with him, she can’t believe what she’s finding out.

The plot is pretty good and once you get past someone being taken that badly by the person they are going to marry, and then when they leave it gets much better. The action is there and the way the hero and heroine handle things they are very believable.

This kept me reading as I wanted to know where the story was going next. I sure hope the next book in the series will be as good – if there is another?

Well she did it again! Lynn Raye Harris created another wonderful read with HOT SEAL Target, book #6 in the HOT SEAL team series. This creation of Lynn's has it all, criminal elements, intrique, danger, a revisiting of characters from other HOT books, hotness and love. Navy Seal Adam "Blade" Garrison takes the assignment to be Quinn Halliday's bodyguard to gather info on Quinn's criminal husband. Now Blade knew Quinn when she was a shy, chubby girl. Wanting to improve herself Quinn becomes slim, beautiful and sophisticated totally opposite of what she was when growing up. When she met her husband Quinn thought all her improvements would lead to a better life but not knowing at that time her husband was a criminal her dream life turned into a NIGHTMARE. Her husband controlled every moment and move of her life, making her totally miserable! There was no escape til Blade enters the picture then that is when things get interesting. Blade falls hard for Quinn(and the feelings are returned) and does everything in his power to keep her safe. Have I caught your interest yet? I encourage you to get HOT SEAL Target for the rest of the story. I loved it and I am sure you will to. The supporting characters in this book are great especially Ian Black(I can't wait to read his history and story). Every HOT book keeps a reader interested and wanting to read more!
I received an ARC for an honest review.

So Good!

What an exciting story! I immediately loved the connection Blade and Quinn shared from their school days. Blade was Quinn’s fierce protector way back then and he is so much more so now.

I was intrigued with Blade’s unique background having grown up in the rough Hong Kong city streets and naturally being fluent in several Asian languages which gives him a special skill set. I was also pleased that Blade was so supportive of Quinn even though she was overweight. He saw through the physical appearance to the sweet, loving young girl she really was. He also recognized her shy, introverted personality for who she really is, even today.

This story is about several important issues that are prominent in our real world today, most of which are ugly to face. This author was able to bring each one to light and deal with them in a positive way while integrating the special HOT ingredients that make these stories so enjoyable. The HOT men, as well as Black’s Bandits are able to come together and use their unique skills to help Quinn escape and survive the Chinese mafia as well as an abusive and very lonely marriage.

This incredible story has all the thrills, excitement, love and passion that we all expect from this author and her HOT series. A definite page turner and one you won’t want to put down until the end!

Excellent job! I loved it!
