This will definitely be in my top favorite book of the year. Amanda blew me away with this story. It's cute, funny and this brings the scorching heat waves!

Amelia has had a troubled past by men. She makes a decision to leave New York to visit Ireland. Something happens and her plans turn for the worst, until a sexy Rory comes along.

I'm so excited to see more from these characters. The chemistry is out this world hot

I loved this story from the beginning and found I didn’t want to put it down even to sleep.
Amelia finds herself on a plane to Ireland to meet what might be the one. But she gets a surprise when she knocks on his door. Why does she seem to always pick the wrong men? When she is drowning her broken heart at a local pub, a young good-looking man sits beside her. She wants this man to talk to her, unlike the other older men who wanted to buy her a drink. After all, they were old enough to be her father and grandfather. She texts her sister about the hottie that sits beside her and Claire tells her she needs a little fun and to enjoy herself.
Rory is looking for a little peace and quiet, a little time a local pub might get his creative juices flowing again. When he sits beside the pretty girl at the bar, he wonders if she will recognize him. He finds himself wanting to spend more time with Amelia and wants her to see his homeland. Maybe that will change her perception of Ireland and show her that not all men are the same.
While Rory and Amelia roam around parts of Ireland and he takes her to his parents home, they become close and both are beginning to have feelings for each other. Amelia can’t have another relationship that will end before it gets started. So she leaves before he wakes up without leaving him anyway to contact her.
Will Rory find Amelia when he visits New York? Will Amelia regret leaving Rory without leaving him a way to contact her? Can they make a relationship work when they both live in different countries?
I love everything about Ireland and when I read the title, I knew I had to read this one. I am so glad I did and I can’t wait for the next one.

This is the story of Amelia and Rory. Amelia doesn't have much luck with men first she was let down by her boyfriend in America then she flew to Ireland to meet a man she had met on a dating sight only to find him with his wife. She decides to drown her sorrows at a pub there man old enough to be her father if not grandfather try to pick her. A young hottie sits beside her Rory is just trying for some peace and quiet he is flabbergasted when the beautiful woman beside him doesn't recognise him after all he is one of the hottest music talents in Ireland. The scene where his song plays in the bar and Amelia trashes it is hilarious. Rory decides he will show Amelia his Ireland in a hope that he can change her bad opinion of it. One thing leads to another and they spend the night together when Rory akes up the net morning she is gone. Will he be able to track her down in America you have to read to see.

This is the first book in this series and has the makings of a great romance series I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I was given an ARC copy of this book but this is a true and honest review

Irish Affair hands down has touched every reader sense I have. This book is like your favourite carnival ride from beginning to end.

The main characters Amelia and Rory hijack your heart, and mind and threaten never to give them back.

It’s funny, sexy, sweet, and romantic all in one. Rory’s personality is a winner. He’s perfect in every way, and Amelia is sassy, and beautiful. Rory came out of nowhere, replacing every disappointment life had dealt Amelia. Rory with his wit and determination was not going to give up on his Amelia.

What a ride. It’s like a Ferris wheel and tilt a whirl all in one. You’ll experience all the excitement while reading the story, but at the end when they let you off the ride, you are exhilarated, and immediately want to go on the ride again.

They were made for each other. The author nailed it. I’d give this story more than a five star if I could.

This is the most heartwarming and beautiful romance I've read in forever. Author Amanda Heartley has given us a sweet, entertaining, fast paced and funny story. It's filled with enjoyable and complex characters that you'll fall in love with instantly.

When Amelia travels from New York to Dublin to suprise her online date, it doesn't go as planned. But when she meets a handsome stranger in a pub while drowning her sorrows, she might find this foreign contry quite pleasurable.

The plot is fresh and well written and the storyline makes you root for a beautiful HEA all the way through. I love the humorous dialog and banter, and the steamy interaction is schorcing hot.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book. And I enjoyed the story immensely and can hardly wait to read book 2.

Fast paced romance
Amanda has written a storyline that has all the feels. There’s disappointment, sadness, anticipation, and joy. And it’s fast paced, sexy, and fun. I liked both Amelia and Rory. Amelia decides to surprise a friend and travels 3,000 miles to do it but she’s the one who is surprised and not in a good way. This has not been a good 6 months for Amelia. Rory shows up one night at the tavern where she’s staying and, as they say, the rest is history. The story progresses quickly with some very hot steamy sexy scenes between these two. I enjoyed the story.

Excellent book...well written with great character development. It took you through a lot of emotions but you'll love the ride. The main characters, Rory and Amelia, were meant to be together...such chemistry. Before I knew the book had ended but you wanted more, then I realized there will be two more books. Big thumbs up on wonderful book. Definitely recommending this book to others.

Amelia heads to Ireland to surprise the man she has been seeing online however the surprise is on her and the pub seems like the perfect place to forget. Rory is there as well and he is very attracted to her and wants to show her the good side of Irish men and his country. As they spend time together they become close but is this a vacation fling or the start of something more?

I found this read to be a very enjoyable, sweet read. Rory is a sweet Irish country singing sensation. He was raised in a very loving family and wishes to find love for himself, but finds it hard to figure out if someone likes him or his fame. Then he meets Amelia and is immediately attracted to her. They spend some time together and for the first time Rory thinks he may have found someone. Amelia does not have a clue who he is and is getting to know the real Rory not the perceived personality. Amelia is carrying a great deal of trust issue baggage with her and keeps sending Rory mixed signals. Her actions becomes a bit confusing and somewhat childish. I would have given this one an easy 5 stars but I had a hard time relating to Amelia. Rory was such a great character and their story was an interesting and somewhat unique tale I was easily able to overlook my lack of warmth for Amelia and fall in love with Rory, just as she did. Fun read! I am looking forward to the next chapter in this trilogy.

Amelia has sworn off men after coming all the way to Dublin, Ireland, to find out the man she met on-line was no better than her cheating ex. She’s nursing her bruised feelings in an Irish pub when she meets Rory Maguire. Being attracted to each other, they have a two-night stand before Amelia returns home leaving Rory without a real good-bye and no way to find her. While Amelia is re-building her life back home, Rory gets a chance to come to America. After an unexpected meeting, Amelia and Rory reconnect, and Amelia has to decide whether she can trust her own judgement and more importantly can she trust Rory with her heart.

This was a delightful romance with its ups and downs before reaching the HFN ending. Since this is the first of a trilogy I imagine we will see more of this couple in the following stories. The storyline is well developed, with interesting characters. The narrative flows easily, changing POVs between the H & h. I recommend this as a quick sweet and appealing read!

I am voluntarily providing an honest, unbiased review of an ARC of this book. I also purchased a copy of this book.

Irish Affair (The Claddagh Trilogy Book 1) by Amanda Heartley is a Contemporary, Small Town Romance. All the guys she meets turn out to be douchebags and she's swearing off men.
At least, that was Amelia's plan until he sat next to her at the bar and those intense green eyes stray her way, she caves in. Rory is a famous music star. Just for once, he wants to be with someone who likes him for himself, not for his money or fame. The moment Amelia flashes that sexy smile at him he's hooked. Amanda Heartley is a new author to me but not for long since reading this book.

It's a contemporary love story that revolves around Rory, an Irish country singer... I know, right?, and Amelia, a woman who flew to Ireland on a whim to meet the guy she's been texting for a few months. After the disaster of the first face-to-face meeting of him she goes to pub and starts drinking. That's where she meets Rory.
He's devastatingly handsome, sweet, kind and funny... oooh and that Irish brogue ,who can resist that??
In her mind it's only going to be a quick two night fling buuttt....
This book is a fast paced, fun, laugh out loud at times, smile often and just plain awesome romance.
Can't wait to read the next one.

Well who would have guessed a book about an Irish country singer and an American who has been unlucky in love would have attracted me to read this? Not me. So obviously I don't know myself very well. Finally coming to terms with the fact that there's always room to learn something new about yourself, I'm glad I took a chance on this story. Read it through in one go and really enjoyed myself. Great couple, interesting situation and sizzling chemistry, guess that's all I need. Now off to anxiously read part 2.

This is a sweet story. Amelia runs off to Ireland to meet with a man she only knows from the internet. When it goes badly, she gets lucky with some help from her cabbie. She meets Rory not knowing he is a country music star, but he is so sweet to her. She just doesn’t trust herself very much. Of course, they are fated to meet again when he arrives in New York and she helps her photography instructor with a celebrity photo shoot. You can guess at the rest. Amelia and Rory are both lovable characters. I’m looking forward to the next book.
