I was messing with fire. He reeked of danger. He was so far out of my league, yet it was me he watched, so why not give him a show. I was safe in this cage. He could not get to me. My eyes closed as pleasure shot down my spine. I can’t explain what it was like teasing a hungry beast, especially knowing that he couldn’t touch me. It was like being watched by a lion behind the glass at the zoo. His consuming, hungry gaze washed over my body, leaving a flaming path in its wake. I moaned as a shiver went through my core. Needing… I didn’t know what I needed. But I needed it so bad it hurt. He leaned over and said something to the man that sat next to him that was dressed in a white linen suit. The man’s gaze fell on me, before he nodded and stood coming my way.

This was awesome and deserves every bit of 5 stars that I gave it. It was a beautiful story that you put together perfectly. It had me from the very beginning, but let me explain why. A lot of people that have read this do not understand the influence that was obtained to write this novel is from the BIBLE. There were clearly some fictional influence but there were a lot of parts that could be pulled right from the bible, and I know you have to be a woman with strong faith and knowledge from the book that has always belonged to our people. Coming from a woman with absolute faith and believes in the BIBLE completely, I just want to commend you and thank The Most High for helping you write such a great book. If they are anything like this??, I look forward to your future books. AWESOME JOB
This was a great paranormal read. It isn’t your normal shifter story but a little more. Gabe has a dark past and the author does a great job of giving you a little at a time leading you up to why he is Gabriel Calhoun. The supporting characters Kenny and Mac are cool and hilarious at the same time and add the flair to the story. Definitely want to see what the author has in store next!
This is an absolutely amazing story that captured my attention from the first page. I'm sure my husband is mad because I've been ignoring him until I finished 😂😂. I'm now moving on to the next part and look forward to finding out what happens next.
I laughed, cried, got angry and praised the LORD all at the same time! Gabriel was a super hero who became a Warrior for the Ancient of Days! The way Ms. Fort intertwined the Word to the overall story is simply brilliant! I can't wait to read the next story!
Started this read today and couldn’t put in down. This read was very detailed and descriptive. Different read for me I wanted so much more, didn’t want to this to end. I loved Gabe and Yas relationship.
Found this book hard to follow at times because of the language used , I didn't know what the author meant and had to hazard a guess! I'm from the UK and the author used American slang which I didn't understand. However I did like the story of the book but I do think it needed more explanation about why the characters are the way they are and what they are ! Personally for me I don't think I will carrying on with any more books from this author.
Yasmin was in a whole lot of trouble. Her beloved grandfather died, leaving her all alone in the world. After his funeral, the town mayor stopped by to discuss the fate of the family farm. He then proceeded to assault and attempt to rape poor Yasmin. Poor Yasmin then proceeded to hit him in the head with a blunt object and left him for dead, fleeing her home (and the crime scene)! She lands in NYC, working behind the scenes in a gentleman's club. It is here she encounters Gabriel. Her life is about to change forever!
Edwina I have read all your books in a matter of 2 days this Labor Day weekend. I barely slept or ate I was so immersed! I love all the facets of each story. The characters I can visualize so clearly. I can’t wait to continue reading how it all plays out when they all end up coming together for the war! I am your new biggest fan! I’ll be spreading the word to my fellow readers about your books! 😍😍😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Yasmin had left her family home,on the run because she believed she killed a man. There is more going on than meets the eye. She meets Gabriel with reluctance she marries him. There are forces at work and they each serve a purpose. A different spin on the story. I enjoyed it immensely. So many twists and turns. Although there is a HFN ending, I think there is a continuation of this story. Edge of your seat action at times.
This book was such a new take on an old love tale! It was refreshing and captivating. I couldn't put it down. I lost sleep because I was trying to see what came next. I don't want to give sbu spoilers, but I certainly wasn't expecting lions, lionesses, and twins and demons! I didn't expect the gullibility (is that even a word)? Jeez and the hearts and the baths! I'm going to look for a sequel!!!
Edwina has an amazing gift. She is able to incorporate scripture and modern times into this masterpiece in a way that is indescribable. Each novel stand on its own but all have an intricate connection. The story comes off as being so real that i end up dreaming about it. Ive read paranormal books and romance novels and connected series before but nothing can come close to Edwina Forts’ masterpieces. How she thinks up these things is truly a mystery. Makes me wonder...
Well for some reason I had thought this an IR book but is AA and a paranormal. It was engaging so I continued to read it. It did make me laugh loud in places. Worth a read. I did however, think it was rather a long story for what it was.
I have never read a book this amazing and exciting. It takes a lot to keep mt attention. I am so happy i discovered this book and author. Its a complete page turner. I won't spoil the booj but it us a must read. You won't be disappointed!!!!!
I'm so happy Gabe and Yas got their happy ending. He was a force to be reckoned with. Having those anger issues were brought on by evil people in his presence. At least he learned to offset that anger through the spirit.
Hands down this is a phenomenal read. Edwina Fort, take a bow. This book is action packed, spicy and captivating. This was an excellent choice for me. Let's see what else I can find in your catalog to read. Y'all just read the damn book.
It’s a page turner! You will fall in love, laugh, cry and do it all over again. This author brings you in and holds you with her words. Also opens up you mind. Great read!
This is my first paranormal and I'm impressed with this book. The author gives very vivid details to the characters and scenery that it makes you feel as you were there. This book is full love, lust, drama, friendship and action. I felt like I was reading a movie. I love the way Yasmine fell in love with Gabe and love the way he was so gentle with her. On my way to read the rest of Mrs Fort books
My "I can't remember what number" time reading this and it is still as emotional and exciting every time!!!!!! I still don't know Yasmin's real name though. Lol
That Gabe is a mess, it's a wonder he made it as far as he did before Gideon and Saafiyah healed him. I'm glad he chose the right side and he is able to see his kids and build a relationship with his mother.
Superb and sexy erotica reading. This story is delightfully fantastic, with a romantic relationship between two characters male, and female .This is a good novel to read.
Wow I will never look at beauty and the beast the same after this one. I was captivated by the first page and couldn’t put this book down.Edwina is such a great storyteller.
