Find out what makes some of our smallest fears turn into nightmares in this treasure trove of short stories. Sometimes it feels like we are all on a different planet earth. Sometimes we are!
I downloaded this book not paying close attention to when it was written or any other details other than it was by Stephen King. The first couple short stories did not seem like his best work and there were numerous typos throughout. I get through a couple more with more typos and poor character development and decide to do a search on when it was published… and realize this is by Stephen R. King. This is not the real Stephen King and does not even compare. Complete garbage.
Terribly written! So many grammatical errors in each story! This is not stephen king and shame on me for not seeing g the r in the authors name I am very disappointed. Do not waste your time on these short stores that have no plot line
Lol I downloaded this on my kindle thinking it was Stephen King... Spot the "R". Surely, you're not allowed to catfish as another horror author lmao! Anyway, even without the little "R" this is undoubtedly NOT King's work, from the spelling errors, to grammatical errors, to some weak storylines. There were definitely some short stories that were better than others but overall I wouldn't say the stories were scary, or that weird or that interesting. Beware of the catfish.
One or two of the short stories were decent enough concepts and had the potential to be a good read if the author had been capable of decent character development and better story pacing.
This book was more human than monster, with personal relationships that evolved. The jacket cover showed a more pet cemetery tale and probably scares some readers off. I think ill just discard the cover before I hand this book off with my recommendation of a great read.
What a beautiful love story….but I had to reread so much of it because the characters were being mixed up. With a bit of proofreading and editing, this could become a very fine piece of work. Beautiful ending. I could actually picture it in my mind because it was so well described.
No matter how many stories that I read by you (Stephen) ,each one makes me wonder where next one will take me to. I enjoy each and every one. I have always recommend your books to everyone I know. Thank You for just being you.
At first.I was a bit sceptical but after the first story I was hooked. To be honest I didn't even notice the R in the name. I suspect that's how he acquired some of his fans!😉
Some of these short stories are down right weird. These are definitely a Middle-of-the-road grouping of stories. Read at your own risk. Moderately Recommended Stories .
It didn’t take me long to realize that here was something wrong. It didn’t have THE Stephen King style or elegance. Also, it was like nobody took the time to proofread. So many errors.
This is on Kindle Unlimited and I liked the cover. Oops. Even without the many typos, most of the writing was awkward. If you use Kindle, borrow this, read "The Wrench and the Bolt," and return the book.
Ever go out to eat and not want a big meal? So, you order some starters instead.
This is a interesting mix of starters for a reader...you got sci-fi, classic King, a police drama/soap opera, a bit of a dystopian future, and an X-menish love story.
A friend of mine let me borrow this with a collection of his actual Stephen King books, not sure how this unknown author got mixed in. Glorifying in gore with no plot does not make it good. 🤷♀️
It was OK. I bought this without paying enough attention, thinking the author was THE Stephen King. I was doubly disappointed, it wasn't a great read and it was the wrong Stephen King
There is no way that anyone who has ever read Stephen Edward King would mistake this yahoo for him. There is little understanding of story craft and the work is rife with typos.
