Enter the Wormworld, at the very beginning. A mysterious painting. A wooden sword. A hidden world. A time before conflict. Two friends in search of magic and adventure. This is how the saga begins. This exciting all-new prequel to Daniel Lieske's hugely popular webcomic The Wormworld Saga will entice new fans in time for the series' first US print release in May 2018, and tantalize existing readers with hints at secrets yet to be revealed.
My name is Daniel Lieske and I was born in 1977 on the edge of the Teutoburger Forest in Germany. I started my 'art career' quite early by selling my first comics on the schoolyard. Since then my passion is to entertain people with stories and artwork.
My wife, my son, our two cats and I settled down in the small German city of Warendorf. There we live in a historical frame house in the old town. In a secluded corner I built my studio in which I work on my projects.
Well it's a short read but sure it would be very delightful in its full length. Amazing Graphical representation. In Very few Magazines I had seen such pleasure-to-eye illustration.
I gotta admit that I didn’t have any expectations or hopes for this comic book before reading it. But now after I have read it, I need to admit that it was very good and at the same time very fun to read. But of course (as always) I will explain everything in this review, and hopefully you will stick around to read the entire review for this comic book.
This comic book as I’ve said above surprised me a lot and one of the reasons why it had surprised me a lot is how fun it was to read this comic book. Before getting into this book I thought that this one will be one of those only meant for children comic books and if read by an adult it would turn into being very boring and uninteresting. But now that I read it, I need to say that this comic books was very interesting and fun to read.
The plot in this comic book is very unique and at the same time engaging and interesting to read. The plot here is about a paintings, painted by the father of the main character. The paintings have a special ability to take you to different words or time periods which I found very interesting and fun at the same time.
The characters in this comic book were very likable and relatable in a way, which of course made me to give this comic book extra points for doing that. We didn’t learn a lot about the characters in this comic book, but they were very good made and we could easily see that they had a lot of personality and depth to them even thou we don’t get to know a lot about them, sometimes you don’t have to give your characters a lot of backstory for the readers to find the characters to be interesting and fun.
The artwork in this comic book was very beautiful and stunning which really shows us as the readers how much time and effort the artist out into this comic book. Which I appreciate a lot and have given this comic book extra points for giving us the beautiful artwork.
A free short intro to Daniel Lieske's webcomics, this had pretty art and an intriguing concept of portals and gateways akin to The Chronicles of Narnia and Reckless. I intend to take a look at the chapters posted here to decide if the series is worth pursuing.
Gorgeous art. I find the style of the people a little odd but everything else is great. It looks good, has lots of detail and has wonderful panel layouts. And very high on my criteria for good comics - context - ie setting the scene by doing things like showing an overview of a countryside with two people as tiny figures and then zooming in on them. So many artists don't do this.
The story is intriguing. I mean, it's not exactly super-original, but it's a nice twist on the common trope of doorways to other lands.
I'd like to keep reading this. Perfect FCBD taster.
With a very compelling story this comic opens a shiny portal to new worlds. Adventures that will spill to our own reality. Can't wait to continue with it!
the book is.really good and the adventure begins in an school the Leads to an amazing picture but amazing mysteries lye inside this Mystical painting.👍👍👍👍👌👌 .
What a fabulous story. Reminds me of all the best things of Myst, told for a different reason and with new elements. Love the art, love the surprises to come. Can't wait to see what happens next!
The artwork is just amazing and the story also has a "Narnia" feel to it, although a bit abrupt! Nevertheless with flashbacks it could be a really well told story.
