Featuring an all-new, original Power Rangers story exclusive to this Free Comic Book Day issue, this has ties to the “Power Shattered Grid” event storyline, taking place in the pages of BOOM! Studios’ Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Saban’s Go Go Power Rangers comic series. Zordon turns to the Morphin Masters for help in the Power Rangers’ darkest hour as they battle Lord Drakkon—an evil version of Tommy, the Green Ranger, from an alternate reality—as he threatens every Ranger in all of existence.
Higgins and Parrot are really pulling out all the stops for this event, in this issue they gave me both something I've been wanting from the BOOM! books since they were announced and something I didn't know I wanted but was completely blown away by. If you're readying Shattered Grid and haven't gotten this, try and track down a copy because it's not just a little tie in, it feels like an important issue in not just that story, but the overall BOOM! Universe.
Unexpectedly liked this. I'm not going to rush out and buy the rest, but, I may look for it at the library when it's in TPB form. There's some nostalgia to what the Rangers were when I was young. But, it's just an interesting storyline they are setting up. Much more intriguing then I thought I would find it.
I am curious to find out what happens next, which is impressive for something I picked up only because it was free and had no previous interest in.
A fun guilty pleasure read that invoked some fond childhood memories of me pressed up against a TV screen. The characters voices come through clearly and match what I remember from the TV shows. Can’t say I’m motivated enough to go out and get the other issues, but for a free comic book this was an enjoyable break from normal life for a few minutes.
Nice little story of Power Rangers! The history of the first team and how they came together. My cousin was a big fan of Power Rangers growing up, so watching his videos for me into it. I know there are many comics just like this, so recommend to anyone who are fans of the Power Rangers!
This is a prologue. It's designed to help you get placed in the world of the Power Rangers and set up the future conflict that will builds the comic series. Which is a needed part of the series.
A recap with Zordon, mysterious Masters of the Grid characters, and backstory with Drakkon and alt-Rita make for an interesting interlude in the Shattered Grid storyline.
A free comic book which serves it's purpose as promotional material, as this issue recaps what's happened to these characters and sets the scene for the Shattered Grid event.
Yo creía que los Power Rangers no podían ser más épicos y ¡sí se puede! Un poco melancólico para mi gusto, pero la nostalgia vende y a mí, me convenció.
