Resonate: For Anyone Who Wants To Build An Audience

Rate this book
Nobody understands how Alex Wolf built a cult following of over half a million millennials for her first brand in less than a year. Nobody understands why she left it all to become a writer either. RESONATE is Wolf's informative and occasionally hilarious look at the intersection of human nature, technology, and how understanding both can help anyone creative build a following of their own.

This book does exactly what it teaches. It touched me. It felt so genuine and heartfelt. This book left me feeling encouraged and understood. It empowered me to be myself and to not be afraid to share that with the world.

Incredible. Thought provoking. SO SO SO much more than the title leads you to believe. So much more. I want to buy 100 copies and hand them out to people. This cracked my thoughts on connection wide open.

I’ve followed Alex Wolf since her Boss Babe days, and Resonate only confirms why her work continues to stand out.

What I loved most about the book was her writing style. It’s poetic yet to the point, blending insight with artistry. Her storytelling makes every piece of advice feel not only compelling but also believable. You’re learning from someone who has truly lived what she’s teaching.

Unlike so many books that focus on chasing virality, Wolf shifts the conversation toward something deeper: connection. She emphasizes building relationships with your audience, because that’s what ultimately creates loyalty and long-term growth. Authenticity gets thrown around like the new buzzword, but Wolf shows it (and tells us) how to be authentic and why it matters.

What years of have shown me, is that building an audience has very little to do with the audience itself. Instead, it has to deal with a nerve you either have or don't have, to try to be you in the fullest way possible, no matter how messy or flawed.
- Alex Wolfe

This book is perfect for anyone (influencer, creator, or business) who wants to build an audience thoughtfully and sustainably without the burnout that comes from chasing quick wins.

Connecting with a fellow millennial

I absolutely loved every minute of reading this book. Alex elegantly weeved between life stories and getting straight to the point. It was so intentionally written to be raw, authentic, and supportive. She won me over from the beginning and it ended leaving me with the feeling that I made a new friend who's got my back.

Sometimes books are not what you expected of them. Usually that's not a good thing, but in this case it was. "Resonate" gives more insight in our culture: "Don't make stuff for perfect people, those don't exist." People are broken, lonely, and craving something real. If you can give them that, it will resonate, and your audience will grow.

Alex breaks down marketing in a way that few understand, intertwining technology and human nature in a fascinating way. As a millennial marketing director, she has changed the game for me. Whether you’re in the industry or just looking to build your personal brand, this book is a must read!

This is one of the best books i read on marketing yourself. I love the way the author used examples of things that resonated with her, kanye's song roses, Jay-Z, Kid cudi, etc. It really helped deliver the message. A book I'll come back to for sure!!
