The bond that ties us exists beyond us. It persists and transforms on its own terms. Loss does not vanquish it. “Once you were gone, so was the Light. Then, came Darkness.” Who is Darkness? What is the meaning of life? How do we come to terms with death? Set against the backdrop of a world inhabited by creatures of varying kinds and abilities, these are the questions that the main characters of this story strive to answer as they navigate their lives. “Dreams…I lived life searching for big answers…. I wanted to make a difference, change the world. Now, I realise the world will be fine without me, and I wish that I had focused on living well instead….” But living well is not easy in Marduk, where truth is elusive and hidden hierarchies limit the lives of its inhabitants.
I’ve recently published a literary novel, Tell Me About Life, which explores a long-distance friendship over several years. It’s a quiet, character-driven story.
I sometimes share copies with early readers — feel free to get in touch if it sounds like something you might enjoy.
A great story about a group of supernatural friends living in a world with vampires and witches. There is a sense of mystery throughout the story in which I wanted to know who is this darkness and why the fate of this young group of friends is entwined with him.
