One of my favorite Alexa Riley stories...
I am always happy when Alexa Riley delivers my favorite things! This was packed full of OTT alpha behavior, instalove and it was perfectly safe!
-no cheating
-no violence of a sexual nature
-no pushing away
-instalove
-OTT protective alpha hero
-great epilogue 6 months and 10 YEARS out! That's how done!

3.5 Her Protector Stars

It's Time...Yes, Time to partake in a quick read from Alexa Riley. As with all of the books, they are set mainly in Today's World but are seriously Fantasy based on how everything happens and plays out. We all know these are books not reflecting Real Life... or at least not mine, hahahaha
But I digress...
For this story, we have a model that has risen to fame and is wanted by everyone. Mila has been modeling since she was 5. Her mother made sure she was front and center over the years with Mila becoming a household name and in demand. She is professional in every way, never complaining and always on time. She has remained innocent as she didn't fall into the pitfalls of the modeling world... sex, drugs, and eating disorders.
In other words, she is actually a sweet woman/child at 20 and is trying to do what others are asking of her.
There is one problem, though... She has a stalker. Not just any low threat kind like in the past... this time, the kind that is dangerous and wanting to do her harm. Mila doesn't know the level of danger and is used to having a bodyguard as part of her life.
Jax is stunned when he sees who he has come out of retirement for...an angel standing right before him. He thought he had his life figured out... did his time with the FBI, hell still helps out on difficult cases. Jax liked the balance of working on his home in Colorado, being away from everyone. It was a gift his grandfather gave him, so he honored the land by taking care of the acreage and built his home mainly by himself for the last years. But Jax is honorable and when his friend Sam asks him to take over as bodyguard for Mila, he can't say no.
So Jax is trying to maintain and be professional when Mila walks into her dressing room in only the sexy lingerie she wore for the last shoot of the day. She sees him standing there, has no idea who he is, and once their eyes meet... they both sense the importance of the moment.
Pretty Girl follows the pattern of AR books with the added bonus of having two really enjoyable characters in them. Mila is young, only 20. She may have been working nonstop since forever but she somehow was strong enough to understand how to stay away from all the negative stuff that happens with others in the industry. When she starts to be treated with care and concern by Jax...it shocks her. Never has anyone looked out for her, stood up for her, seen to it she had broken and was fed. All the others cared about were getting the shot and then quickly doing another one.
Jax sees how there is no one looking out for Mila. He is taken by her sweetness, her soft ways, and then when she lets him know how she is so overwhelmed by his caring ... That is it. She is his and nothing or no one will ever hurt her or disrespect her.
This story had a full-fledged storyline with all the sexy, baby-making times. It is just what the reader ordered... getting her Alexa Riley fix.

MAJOR SWOON!
Considering how much I loved the movie Bodyguard, which is one of my fav (minus that sucky ending), Alexa Riley pick up the theme and raised the romance, steam and HEA to sky high levels! The best of the Bodyguard vibes, but with the most deliciously perfect ending! Serious swoon worthy Hero and sweetest of Heroines! All the Bodyguard Stars! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

4 Cute, easy fast read

I really liked one.

OMG! I loved this books so hard! Mila is a model who has had enough. Jax is the bodyguard hired to protect her during her latest stalking incident. SO hot, so sweet, and so perfect! Another must read by Alexa Riley!

umm just really not for me 2*
I suspect fan's of AR writing will like this story but I found it to be only just barely tolerable. And the plot was horrible.
Him: I have met this very pretty girl for about 20 seconds and now I will be pushy about sexual contact and plan our marriage for as soon as possible. Oh and I would prefer she give up her very high profile career.
Her: I am a virgin and I am all good about man I just met having his way with me while at the same time keeping secrets from me and ordering me about. I think I best quit my job and have lots of babies with him.

Great read. For safety gang: The stalker had a rape kit with him, but never got close enough to use it. Love stories where there is no drama in the relationship itself.

Mila is 20 years old and one of the highest paid supermodels in the world. She was discovered when she was five years old and for the past fifteen years she's been working her ass off. She promised herself she wouldn't be a high maintenance diva like some other models are and because of it she really doesn't have any friends in the industry. She is way too nice and lets her mom, agent, publicist and the photographers push her around. She's never had a boyfriend, in fact she's never really gone on a real date, instead it's been pretend dates set up by her publicist with guys she doesn't even like. Jax Knox is 32 years old, he retired from the FBI three years ago after an incident that left him injured and with a scar on his face. He moved to Colorado and built himself a cabin on land he inherited from his Grandpa who raised him. His Grandpa had a very successful company which he sold shortly before he died and that left Jax extremely wealthy. The three years since he's retired have been spent in seclusion but then he gets a call from Sam, his old partner asking for a favor. Sam started his own bodyguard agency when he retired and he has a client that he only trusts Jax to protect. Mila has a stalker who is very intelligent, resourceful and extremely dangerous and her agent has even told her about it. Mila has just finished working ten hours after flying from London to NYC and she's surprised to find a handsome stranger in her dressing room. Jax is knocked on his ass when he sees Mila walk into the room wearing only cream-colored panties and a bra studded with diamonds. As soon as he sees her he knows he's fucked and that he'll do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Jax was such a badass but also so sweet with the way he took care of Mila since no one else ever bothered.
