An excellent true crime book exploring little known crimes (though I am not sure I would say The Navy Yard mass shooting was little know but maybe I am biased because I am in DC). Anyway, well reported and interesting. Liked it a lot

Murderous Minds is the first book in a series about "real life murderers" who weren't featured in mainstream news / headlines. It features six unique cases about people who committed the ultimate sin of murder.
Most of the cases were people who killed for personal or financial gain. Each case was pretty interesting on its own, and I appreciate that the author includes facts and actually does research about each one rather than just telling his personal opinions on it.
The senior citizen that tried to kill husbands for financial gain was... intriguing ot say the least. People are twisted.

True Crime Thriller
Ryan Becker continues to write exceptional true crime books. In this latest installment he covers six serial killers who kill because of monetary or personal gain. One of the killers takes up with a vindictive woman, he does the killing and ends up taking the fall for the whole thing. Another one of the killers is a son who will do anything to please his sick, twisted mother. Yet another killer covered becomes enamored with a stripper, he drops loads of money on her and when his company goes belly up, she dumps him. Since he is jobless he decides to kill innocent people in order to rob them to please the stripper. Needless to say it doesn't quite work out the way he planned. Lastly, a black widow tried to get away with murdering her husbands and collecting the insurance money. Once again it is amazing that these people think they can get away with murder. Filled with interesting details and chilling descriptions of the crimes, Ryan Becker has written another true crime winner.

Interesting content
This book chronicles many killers, both known and widely unknown. It is an interesting read, however the editing is terrible. It is riddled with spelling and grammar errors.

I love True Crime
To start off please let me say that I was personally affected by the murder of my cousin. That's not where my interest in this genre started. I always wanted to try to understand what makes people able to take a life. I grew up in poverty with a lot of abuse of every kind and even more neglect. I never thought of hurting anyone just punishing myself for even being born. I fell headfirst into my first law class. My first step father was a prison guard who should have been behind the bars of a prison cell instead. I always read that these killers never stood a chance because of all the abuse of their childhood. That can't be the qualifier for becoming a killer. I grew up and just wanted to help children growing up like I did. I'm fascinated with the WHY of it, killings, than just the examples of abuse.

I have to give this one a "meh" rating for several reasons. For one, these are not, as claimed, mostly little-known cases. Several of them made national headlines and one of them, the Kimes family, has 3 or 4 books written about their crimes. Names are misspelled in here and there is a lot of clumsy writing, my favorite example being "she was a grandmother with grandchildren." It makes me wonder what else the author got wrong. But with all that said, a couple of these cases were new to me and interesting to read about.

SPELLING errors
The topics are good. Nothing exciting about the writing style. Lots of SPELLING errors. Easy read. I like a little more bite to my reading material. A few more three syllable words maybe. I'll read the series because I've read everything by my favorite author and am not ready to jump into something with some character yet. Candy cane for the brain is a what I need in my reading material right now, this is good for that.

Little less impressed
I didn't like this Becker true crime anthology as much as some of his others due to the cases featured were somewhat dull and the second half of the book was a word for word repeat of another of his books (not sure which title off the top of my head). Moderate editing issues and no pics, not even thumbnails. You could skip this one and be alright.

Another great true crime anthology from Ryan Becker. This time there were 6 different stories, each of them different than the rest. I found each one of them to be well written and well researched. He gave good backgrounds - not too much information to make you bored, but enough to understand the killer in the story. I had heard of a couple of these, but not all, and I loved that. He gave us stories that we had not heard about before. I really liked this book, just as I have enjoyed all of his books. I highly recommend it!

Great book
Another great book by Ryan Becker! Once you start reading this book, you will have a hard time putting it down! Makes you wonder how so many people slip through the justice system! When most of these people needed professional help, instead were ignored until it was too late!

Beyond what I expected
As always Mr. Becker has done it again! I know she I see his name on a book that not only is it going to be a good book it's also going to have a story behind it and one we all an follow!!!

I love the story telling and where the author was going with it. The misuse of semicolons and commas along with frequent repetition made it hard to not get distracted. I had never heard of these cases before, so that was refreshing. I may attempt to read another book in hopes the editing is improved.

Not only do you get one awesome true crime book you get 2. It scares you how people react to certain stimuli. It was one I didn't want to put down. I believe there was only one story that I had heard of before.

Frighteningly and grippingly real!
This is a one sitting book, written without drama or excessive fluff! This makes these stories that much more horrifying! Great author who knows how to present the facts in a compelling and 'must read' fashion!

Very interesting!
If you are a fan of true crime, then this series is for you!
I find it fascinating that people who perpetrate so much destruction in their wake think they are immune to the law. It's also interesting ,however, how many of these crimes slip under the media radar.

Intrigue
Many of those profiles I did not know anything about. While getting new information about the same people is interesting, learning of new people broadens my world of knowledge.

Interesting cases
I think the book is well written and yet not too detailed for good taste. While I wouldn't want to meet any of the killers in this book the author does show the human behind the monster.

Most interesting book
Very well written. Definitely worth reading. Author holds the reader's interest exceptionally well. The author has done his homework, and the result makes for a very interesting, and informative reading.

Okay book.
Good if you need something quick. You don't have to worry about losing the plot because each one is independant.
