A vicious new terrorist cell emerges.

With the Hostile Response Division disbanded, John Stone wants to go back to a quiet life, retired to Great Falls, Montana. Then Marvin Van Pierce shows up to offer him a job consulting in France, working for a counter terrorism task force. John says “No, I’m done.”

But word of a tragic terrorist attack draws John back into the fight. A few days later, Van Pierce tackles a suicide bomber, and lands them both between 2 vehicles, saving many lives, while losing his own. Now the Retired Army Ranger and former HRD member must find the leader of a new terror cell, and stop their plan to unleash chaos and destruction on a scale never before seen.

He heads for France to find justice, or maybe vengeance, for his friend. He calls Parker for IT help.

The pulse-pounding,"over the top" story continues in book four of the John Stone military action-thriller series!

My fourth book in a row by the Manning Brothers, and yes as mentioned over the top, but always action packed, and yes far fetched, but gripping, fast paced and just fun quick reads, just so easy to enjoy.

Four stars, and on to book 5....

Great action

Whenever I read about heros destroying terrorist that's my favorite hero. The scary part is that terrorists are a real threat to our world. Fortunately we do have heros now, the brave men and women in our US military!

Still loving John Stone et al.

John Stone and the crew never disappoint. Sorry they lost such a valuable member but hopefully he will leave a legacy and not be forgotten in future books. I like the new scope of their activities, however they need to immerse themselves in some alternate languages LOL! Just English isn’t enough these days. Great action packed book as usual - you can count on that with John Stone et al.

A AM. & BM. Military Operations (One Man) Action Adventure (HOTS) (AAPMPT) (AJSATB -4)

Am. & BM. have penned a military operations (one man) action adventure titled "Head of the Serpent" which begins shortly after the USG operation goes defunked and JS thru back door channels is advised of a coming terrorist attack on the USA. He prepares for he oncoming attack with a little help from his friends. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

Good read

Some of the things done in the action scenes are a bit over the top. Stone seems to be to good to be believed. Otherwise this another page turner from the Manning brothers. Another book that is a good traveling companion. Keeps the reader inter and continues to do so.

Very gripping story. I noticed that there were a few cuss words added to this book, when they had none before. I'm hoping that this is not the direction they are headed. The previous books clearly showed that you can have a great story that keeps you on the edge of your seat without having to use profanity.

Head of the Serpent

This was a very good series but this last book was not. I didn't even finish it. When they took the story line out of the USA it became a poor story. Would not recommend this book.

Actually getting better.

Still Capt America but has gained a sense of humor about him. Good story line and could probably happen. Couldn't find any info on an operation called "Lazy Dog" in Vietnam. Doesn't mean it's not true. Looking forward to the next one.

Great Story

Enjoyed the adventure and would have given 5 stars, but Stone is starting to become a cartoon super hero, putting himself in situations no human could survive, but John and his crew do. Way over the top. Make it a little more real!

LOVE THIS SERIES!!

I just love the John Stone series! If you like this genre, you’ll love this. Lots of action, you can read this one as a stand alone but it’ll be much better to read them in sequence! Starting book 5 in the series right now!!

This was a good book. It kept me engaged throughout.

There were quite a few spelling and grammatical errors that had me stopping and rereading parts. This is quite irritating to me. Better proofreading before publication is required.

I do like this series but, don’t you think it’s time John had a little more in his life, rather than just fighting and getting injured all of the time? How about a little fun sometime!

Plenty of Action.

Plenty of action, pity it's not believable though. A bit too far fetched for me. Hence only a three stars review.
