In the wilds of Yellowstone National Park there are five rugged men who will risk everything to do the right thing even when the people who hire them aren’t always exactly what they seem.
Part One Spring thaw often brings out those looking for something that might have been lost during the winter. I’m not worried. My dogs can find anything I ask them to. Then Mary shows up with a twenty year old diary and a story about her missing mother and I realize I might be about to bite off more than I can chew.
Part Two Wild animals behaving badly, children running wild all over the park, lately Yellowstone has turned into a circus. But my team and I aren’t going to leave those kids out there any longer than we have to. So when the mother is lying and the father is clueless, the only one left to listen to is the teacher. It doesn’t take me long to realize that Shannon knows exactly what happened to those kids. The only real question left is why.
Part Three Trying to change an official cause of death from accidental to homicide doesn’t happen very often. This crazy reporter thinks she’s going to get me to help her do it anyway. At first I only go along with Frankie to keep her from getting herself into trouble. The longer I listen to her insanity, the more sense she starts to make. By the time I realize that Frankie isn’t crazy at all, we’re in this thing so deep I’m not sure I can get us out.
Part Four I can’t put my finger on exactly what’s going on with this family. They’re rich and maybe that’s why they’re so weird. But there’s something happening here and Ariana is convinced that her brother is about to commit murder. Maybe my job is to make sure she doesn’t get herself killed trying to do what’s right.
Part Five When I first came to Yellowstone and started my business I was licking my wounds. My wife had been murdered. The man who did it was still roaming free and flashing his FBI badge all over town. I was disgraced and pretty sure that it was all over. And that included the strange and confusing relationship I had with a fellow psychological researcher named Laura Selway. Now Laura’s here in Wildcat because that murderer is on the move again and she’s determined that we’re going to chase him down.
As with this genre, there is an underlying problem that threads through individual stories. There is plenty of tension and cliffhangers occurring throughout. Throw in a touch of humor, interesting characters, and you have this box set. I totally dislike the overtone of FBI agent corruption, power plays in the bureau allowing local stepping on toes. Too cliche! The stories are individually clever. Resolved maybe a bit unbelievably time wise. A Good Read overall. Especially good with the read to me function. Be warned. You might just lose sleep staying up past the cliffhanger sections of the stories.
I enjoyed reading Yellowstone Investigations. I like how each in the series had the same antagonist who somehow was involved in the plot of each story. You could see how Callum evolved. I recommend his book to other readers. I would like know how trial Max and Winters climaxed.
When you start reading you best be sure and not have important things you need to do because you won't be able to stop reading until you are finished...there is tears laughter..suspense..all in this series...awesome read
There are five books. Being sold together should Help with the story line without so much repeating of facts. By the 4th it starts drooping, then 5 is few facts to wrap up with much to much filler. Drags a lot and predictable.
The first two stories were interesting, good story lines. After that the plots were predictable and there were a number of story line mistakes. Typeset errors, wrong names with wrong persons. Ruins the flow of the story.
Stories that contain a mystery that keeps you turning the pages. The characters are developed so that you cheer for them. I also love happy endings where the good guys win! 😬😄
Family, Enemies, Murder, Mayhem, Suspense, Great great Books!!
After reading all 5 books in less than a week and loving each one I need to still read at least 5 more to keep up the grand feelings I had enjoyed during this series of stories !!
Granted, each character finds true live when not looking but this writing us decent if not drawn out in areas. Good read basically but boring in sections there were days i put this down fir a rest ti try to get re-interested in finding interest again
This was awesome. I will say I was concerned during book 1 that I wouldn't like it. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! I loved love it. From the Dogs, to the horses, through the crazy and also through the sain. Thank u for a great series
Over 25 years ago I visited the park and stayed in the park visiting the locations described in the book. I enjoyed all the stories and recommend you not only read the book but visit Yellowstone, truly one of nature's wonders.
I absolutely love this series of books. I can't wait to read more from this author or more books about these characters. The books have an amazing flow and pull you in from the first sentence. I highly recommend these books to anyone and everyone.
Well that was irritating. I skipped most of it, just read the bits about what happened to Mary’s mother. None of it made a lot of sense. The characters were all over the place. It sucked balls! And that was just the first book. No way am I reading the rest
This series was amazing with the way all the stories came together for an excellent ending. This was my first from this author but is know it will not be the last.
I enjoyed books 1, 2 and 3 but I found the 4th book ridiculous! I never stop reading a book or series without finishing but this will be a first for me. I am done!
This is a great read. Each book is about a member but the storyline and plot are carried through all five books. It is gruesome in bits but very interesting.
