I just finished reading this Dana and Tim's story today and just...wow! I wasn't sure until the very end who the killer was, and I love when a book does that. There were ample suspects, and a surprise twist in the end laid open the door for the rest of this awesome series. I loved seeing characters from Sun Storm reappearing and can't wait to read more about them.
Dana and Tim were likable and intriguing main characters who functioned under clouds of suspicion and it was wonderful to see them overcome the odds stacked against them. I'd love to hear more of their story as the series continues.
Fire Storm can be read as a stand-alone, but do pick up Sun Storm too. You'll be glad you did.
Gripping and well done from start to finish.

Dana is a strong, independent woman with her own brand of loss of confidence. She believes in fair, and right and wrong. Tim Morgan is a good friend, a good man and just wants to live his life. He loves his father and needs to take care of him. There is intrigue and suspense and subterfuge. This is a very interesting book with interesting underlying stories. There are some really good secondary characters, Dana's son, Tim's friends.

Every now and then, you want to meet someone like a character in a book. That would be Tim Morgan in this story. There is mystery, FBI involvement, romance and expert law enforcement in the story-line that made it exciting. Tim was the misunderstood victim; Dana was the new police officer with a teenage son; and, trouble came to the little town that was this book. Amazing writing with excellent characters and I would like a Tim as my best friend. Thanks for being on KU.

Conspiracy, intersecting lives, stalwart heroes and heroines

Except for the “romance” aspect (which is great if you like that sort of distraction in a crime novel), this one is an excellent tale of backroom deals, long-buried secrets - of the fatal kind - and revelations/resolutions.

I had no unanswered questions at the end. Very satisfying who, why, where and when-done-it!
