Interesting and a good read. Main characters are well developed and the villans are all powerful and evil. Action scenes are exciting and we'll done. Some of the character building is a little slow but in general an interesting story.
Intriguing characters pull you in to a world where a war is brewing fueled by revenge. A princess goes on a spying mission with other royals to find out the depth of their danger. All the while being hounded by a magic that changes her eyes and threatens her life.
Enjoyed the story right up to the point of the rape scene, then promptly closed it and DNF. Will not be reading further. No warning in the book description, the second book does have a mature content warning however.
This book was difficult to read, not because of the story but because of how different the names all were. Very hard to pronounce and actually took away from the book because you constantly stumbled over them.
