This is the first book that I have read by this author. It was a story about the murder of 4 women, and the police search for their killer.

This is my first time reading Joseph Glass. I enjoyed the fast pace and conservative writing style. Not wildly descriptive, but just enough. Dialogue rings true and the story seems believable, even though the main character, Susan Shader, is a psychic (a profession sometimes hard to believe in.) I'm looking forward to more in the Susan Shader series. Wish I knew what other pen names Joseph Glass writes under - I like his style and could see myself following his work, whatever the genre.

Overall, I would recommend this for readers who enjoy thoughtful, suspense and have time to devote to lots of reading - you won't want to put this one down until the end!

I read this novel for the first time as soon as it came into paperback years ago. It constantly sat at the back of my mind begging to be re-read. I put it off, worried that it wouldn't live up to my expectations, but there really wasn't any reason to think it. This novel was just as compelling after 15 years, as the first time that I read it. Fast paced and interesting, it had me turning pages at racing speeds.
I can't wait to read blood, which I didn't even realize had been written!

This book was so bad I put it down after 100 pages. The characters are underdeveloped, the writing is choppy.

Overall, very bad.
I can’t stress enough how easy it was to see the hints the writer was throwing to the reader. “Tall figure, tall man, blah blah”, so you could not even think about them being the murderer. All the women are pretty except... one? Isn’t there anything else to comment about people? I read this book very fast, because it was so plain and easy, but it felt like it was taking an eternity. It is way longer than it should be.

Wow!, this story had several twists I wasn't expecting.
It was an older style book, not historical, but sort of set in the 90's era, which I liked.

The themes and writing style reminded me of Patricia Cornwell's Scarpetta novels.

I would have enjoyed discovering this as part of a series but it's a stand alone novel from what I understand?

I might have to look for other books by this author.

Pretty decent murder mystery, but a little too much exposition about psychology and forensics. Romantic plot doesn't really go anywhere either.. not the best, not the worst.

i think that this book might better be called second sight, since this ia what dr. susan shader uses to help solve crimes. i could not find the title in the list of books, though this is not a new book. it is quite intriguing with a few plot twists. susan shader and david gold make a good team in solving this, as well as other cases. they seem to be good friends, without the sexual complication.

The story was very intriguing, the reader was left in the dark for quite a while. Of course you know that the story cannot end in the middle of the book, but you don't know what's really going on.
Susans resolve to hunt the killer down all by herself is very stupid and she should know better. But after all this is just a book and supposed to be suspenseful I guess.

If you're a fan of Patterson this book is for you. Glass really knows what he's doing in this book. The characters are amazing and the plot keeps you turning the page and wanting more!
