Would You Work with an Assassin you believe Murdered Your Family...

What an exciting addition to the Thomas Blume series!! Blume is a former police officer, now a Private Investigator, a job where he finds himself working alone with no backup available. After investigating and searching for those who murdered his wife and son, from which his life has been denigrated to drinking and emptiness, he thinks he has found the answer in a former special operator who is now an assassin. Only since locating this man, Teach, they have been shot at several times and chased around New York!!
Finally listening to part of Teach's story, Blume decides to team up to escape the clutches of men after them and find out what really did happen on that day a few years ago!
This suspense filled story kept me enthralled from beginning to end, as the two finally get some answers and realize that they have more in common than they thought. The characters are so real, with a plot that envelopes a widespread area , we can feel the excitement as the two discover an answer to find a 'file' that everyone fears being turned over to the public. Government agencies, mercenaries, and NYPD officers all on the hunt for Blume and Teach, shoot at them and chase them, obviously having no problem if they are dead, not just apprehended!!
An outstanding action packed thriller , this is a 5 star story and now I await Blume's next adventure!!!

Brilliant, I loved it. P.T. Reade has produced a wonderful piece of writing with this tense and entertaining Thriller. Thomas Blume is such a great character, and teams up well with Roland Teach in this story. I quite like that there are a couple of surprises along the way, and the fact that I had no idea who was out to get Thomas. Overall an excellent plot.
Life was probably easier for Thomas Blume when he was in the Police Force. Even though it was a tough job being a Detective, he was surrounded by colleges to help him out. Now he was on his own as a private investigator, he was trying to find out who had killed his family, and it was turning into a dangerous occupation. Nabbing Roland Teach, a very dangerous former Special Forces Operator who had now become an assassin, was surely going to get him the answers he was looking for. However, with mercenaries trying to kill them both, it was quickly turning into a nightmare. Now Blume doesn’t know who to trust. I got to the end of this story and my first thought was ‘Wow’. A terrific story that I really enjoyed. It’s easily worth the 5/5 Star Rating.

The end of Thomas Blume's journey did not disappoint. Lots of action and intrigue and... more action and more intrigue. Honestly, I couldn't stop reading. What a journey. I'm going to miss Blume and his mishaps.

My only gripe is that the author usually gives us a cracking epilogue after every segment, but I thought this last epilogue was a little lacking. I was expecting something more. I would have liked a grand return to London and to Nicole, Amir, etc. to wrap it all up, but not getting it didn't really deter the series from ending on a high note so I can't grumble too much.

End Game - Thomas Blume Bk 7 - Written by PT Reade

What did I like? Besides the fact that I love the writing style of this author, the best part is the lead character… Thomas Blume is just the guy you want to help make his world all right again. I feel the pain that is his alone in his loss of his wife and child. Having lost both my husband and son, I can relate to his problems. Thankfully for me, I did not take to the bottle to forget but I did shut out the world for over a year!

What are you going to like? Fascinating characters, riveting action, mesmerizing mystery, transfixing suspense and a killer ending. Thomas has found the one man that he thinks can give him all the answers that he has been searching for but does he trust him? Find out and you're going to be surprised! Excellent read and Looking for the next book!!!!! I received this from the author for an honest review with no other compensation.

This is my 7th, Blume novel, and I have enjoyed reading all of them. This one starts at a fast pace in NYC, where the last one ended. Blume is inpursuit of Roland Teach, a man he thinks killed his wife + son. He catches, then skeptically hears Teachs' side of the story. When shadow agency spooks start shooting at them, Blume begins to think a little bit at a time that Teach might be right after all. A lot of loose ends from the whole series are tied up at the end. I received this as an ARC book. Now the question I am asked the most about a book is: "Is it a stand alone book or do I have to read the whole series?" I finished the first read a week ago and I was conflicted 50/50. I then reread Bk #6, Flashpoint, which is a stand alone, then reread End Game, Bk #7 the new one. I think "End Game" will make more sense to new readers if you read it after "Flash Point".

I read these books one right after the other

This main character, Thomas, is smart, inventive and doesn't waste your time. I felt really bad for him, then his anger and frustration became mine. If you ever lost an important part of your life this would resonate for you too. I wanted justice for him and others in the story and although I don't drink I can see how someone could be tempted. Another aspect I really liked was the speed at which he could figure something out and immediately act on it, not wasting my time and yours while he contemplated his next move. I did really enjoy the ending too but that's all I will say about it.

A nightmare for Thomas, having to side with a man he has hunted for two years, he wanted answers why family was killed. Life as a PI was hard,to get answers, would he even live long enough to get them. A plot that is on the edge with tension, vivid details, of what Thomas and Roland are going thru.
Roland been known as an assassin, now they have mercenaries that want to kill them both. Nightmare, and who can Thomas thrust. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

Excellent mystery series which kept my attention. However, after reading book 7, End Game, and being teased with a message from his former love interest and then learning about Blumes son being alive I was disappointed at the ending. While the major storyline had concluded I was looking forward to the punching bag which was Thomas Blume getting some degree of reward by putting something of a life together. This is the only reason I gave 4 stars.
Hoping there is a book 8.

This was a great book with nonstop action but also with a deeper look into the life of Thomas Blume. Naturally, I am now waiting for the next book in this series. P.T. Reade has managed twists and turns in each book of this series but he really doesn't leave you hanging in all of them. While he cleans up most of them, there's always the next one around the corner.

Outstanding book in the Thomas Blume series! My favorite to date! This is one of those rare books that you just cannot put down! Each chapter had me hanging on the edge of my seat and the ending was both a complete surprise and a tease - I cannot wait for the next one to come out! Well worth the read!

The End

One of the best series I have read in a long time. The pace is frantic. The story is one of anger, defeat, revenge and a job well done. I will tell you nothing of the story. Trust me. You will not be disappointed. Go back and start at the beginning.

Excellent though while Thomas Blume is a bit of a anti hero he’s not a patch on Charlie Cobb or Dan Reno
