Discover Fieldstones: A private London club that caters to the whims of the finest ladies and gentleman. However naughty those whims may be…
Edward, Viscount Stafford has no desire to marry one of the insipid debutantes his mother invites to a house party at his country estate. But Edward must do his duty and provide an heir, no matter how uninspired he feels about bedding one. A chance encounter with a passionate, masked woman at the masquerade ball changes his tune. If he can locate her, he will marry her and do his duty with pleasure.
Miss Genevieve Mortimer is forced to play down her beauty until her sister can get Lord Stafford to come up to scratch and wed her. A masquerade provides the perfect opportunity for Genevieve to shed the dowdy gowns and appease her curiosity with a real kiss. Little does she know the highwayman she stumbles upon is the very man meant for her sister.
Warning: This story contains a gentleman by title but not nature, a lady with shameless curiosity, and a love that shines no matter who they invite to join their games…
Pure smut. Minimal plot and romance (almost non-existent, honestly speaking). As far as historical erotica goes, this one’s okay. I’d prefer my historical erotica with a heart, though. For those interested, this one is free today on Amazon USA.
I would definitely read more by the author and may continue the series. Developed characters and hot sex scenes. My practical side wonders what happens to the wives in these relationships when they get around 60 though. I suppose I shouldn't when it's fantasy.
Edward, Viscount Stafford has no desire to marry one of the insipid debutantes his mother invites to their country estate. Genevieve Mortimer is forced by her mother to hide her beauty and figure under padding and plain clothes until her older sister can be wed. A chance intimate encounter at the masquerade ball leaves Edward searching for his mystery lady.
This is the first novella in the Fieldstones Adventure series. It is an erotic historical romance that features M/F, F/F, M/F/M, and F/F/M sexual encounters. There is also voyeurism and public sex. It's a scorching hot story and an enjoyable plot.
Tropes: Ugly Duckling/Cinderella, Masquerade, House Party/Forced Proximity
There is brutally honest sexual talk amongst the males and the females. Sexual exploits at a private London club, with couples, threesomes, voyeurism, and more. This story is pure steamy sex all the way.....and yes, I found it enjoyable to read. 5☆
After much searching and scouring, I finally found this book, my first Leah Trent, and it was not quite what I expected it to be. I knew it was an erotica, but it was more like porn on page minus the romance. Oh, the characters kept saying I love you to each other, and that was it for the romance, which was a little disappointing, to be honest.
Content Warnings - Read the blurb carefully.
Review - A tiny novella. - Fast paced. - No plot, so to speak. - A couple exploring their sexual proclivities. - Sex, a lot of it, but well written. - A few errors here and there. - That's it, folks!
HOT and STEAMY Solid 4* for this quick-read erotica.
People are swinging any which way in this book but unlike many such erotic stories, it's neither dark nor hard. Rather it's almost sweet, almost wholesome with complete focus on SATISFACTION - wherever one can find it. And it has a story after a fashion.
It's a pretty erotic short story. I wouldn't consider this a "romance", but I can't lie either..these MCs were definitely made for each other in level of depravity 🤣 do I believe their marriage will last after trying out all the positions? No way!
I understand the rush given the number of pages but I found it hardly credible for someone supposedly soooo experienced to be sooooo delighted with a virgin's bj. Also the sister's drama..I don't have patience and is useless in this book, the story would work just the same without it.
If you are looking for something veryyyyy erotic, this book is here for it!
This book was a free download. It was recommended. I read the first half and skipped to the end. Not my cup of tea. Personal preference doesn't see the romance in threesomes. Love was not mentioned in the parts of the book I read. Once it was established early on in the book that the h and H had similar sexual appetites it seemed pointless to the story to keep describing them. What was the story really about, the h's sister, her mother, the H's mother, his friend??? Hard to believe that a mother would go to such extremes to make one sister more noticeable than another.
This book was suggested to me from a book club friend, and so glad it was. Erotic tale of Edward, Viscount Stafford who is trying to avoid the marriage his mother is pushing on him, and Genevieve Mortimer who's mother is hiding her away under dowdy clothes to keep her at home. A chance encounter brings these two together, and the fire between them is instant. Includes M/F, M/F/F, M/F/M, and forever love.
I have never read anything set in the distant past but I can say I thoroughly enjoyed it it's spicy and short and I found myself invested in the characters and the time it's set in
Loved it! Related a lot to the main character, which made her adventures super arousing. Read the entire series, and this one was my favorite! Hunting for similar series if anyone can suggest...
Book 1 of the Fieldstones Adevntures series . I have never read this author before and downloaded it in a free campaign.
We are introduced to Edward, Viscount Stafford, and his matchmaking mother - desperately introducing him to numerous young debutantes hoping he will at last marry. Edward does not wish to marry so does his best to avoid his mother’s manipulations. Edward and his closest friend Blackstock can escape to Fieldstones - a private members club where members can watch or participate with a partner of their choice in whatever erotic activity takes their fancy.
Genevieve Mortimer is the younger sister of Mary who is having her second season. Slightly atypical for this genre, Lady Mortimer is making Genevieve wear padding and ugly dresses to encourage gentleman to bypass her and focus on Mary - their mother believes Mary is the more typical beauty and should be able to make a good match. Mary is slim, blonde and reserved whilst Genevieve is brunette with some curves and is more curious.
Lady Stafford holds a house party which the Mortimers are invited to. Lady Stafford and Lady Mortimer try and encourage a courtship between Edward and Mary - which Edward endeavours to avoid. At a masquerade ball, Edward partakes in his duty but then tries to secret himself away. Genevieve, with the assistance of her characterful maid Briony, leaves the ball and changes into a masked fancy dress costume without her padding. Being the curious young lady, she flirts with a man and tries to negotiate a kiss - which does not eventuate. However Edward (dressed as a masked highwayman) overhears this exchange and offers his assistance. Let’s just say passion is ignited and curiosity gets the better of Genevieve. However neither knows the other’s true identity. Edward spends the rest of the house party trying to identify his mystery woman. There is a fun side story with the maid Briony - which I won’t spoil - but this side story eventually leads to Edward learning of Genevieve’s identity. The rollercoaster ride of Edward and Genevieve getting together then ensues and they face much resistance. Once they succeed, Genevieve starts to learn of Edward’s interests which she initially finds daunting but realises she enjoys and even thrills her. This leads to some heated intimacy. This book is rather spicy with some FF, MF, MFF and MFM action - all consensual and enjoyed by those participating. I enjoyed the supporting characters especially Briony who was Genevieve’s closest friend and cheerleader. It is very easy and fun to read but be warned the author describes the heat level as inferno!m - so not for those that refer a sweet and clean romance.

This novel is another shared read with my husband. I grabbed it from a SYK event and am thrilled that I did. Though I can’t tell you if it’s historically accurate, I CAN tell you it is a page turner.
Though the spice is a key part of the story, it doesn’t take over. Edward and Genevieve are likable, real, and perfect for each other...if they can just get her mother and sister out of the way.
He is a roguish young viscount looking for a wife who can match his...appetites. At a masquerade party meant to marry off poor young Edward, he happens upon Genevieve. One impetuous interlude later and he’s taken with the mysterious woman in the mask. She is immediately attracted to her disguised lover, but finding each other after the party is another ordeal.
This Fieldstones Adventure has just enough slow burn to keep the tension alive, but it doesn’t last any longer than it needs to. An adventure at Fieldstones can only wait so long, after all, and the suspense of what will happen next is just as delicious.
I'm not entirely sure how this book wants to be categorized. As a historical romance, I'd give it 1 star. But if it's meant to be pure historical erotica (which is what it leans towards) then it gets 3 stars.
The sex is on point, and there's a LOT of it (that's the pure erotica part). However, I found the emotional connection lacking (I know, sex > emotions in erotica), but it would've been nice to see a connection between the couple outside of lust which would've made the sex scenes more intense.
Also, I think it bothered me that they seemed to have no redeeming qualities outside of "I love sex, and I'm very accepting of every desire." Plus, I prefer a possessive hero who's like "Mine." and not "Yeah, I'm good with sharing you with other people, and I want to be shared with others."
HOWEVER, I'm probably overanalyzing something that's not meant to be that deep. So, if you want sex, lots of it, all kinds of it, then READ THIS!
An Impetuous Interlude, by Leah Trent. Well I certainly didn’t anticipate what I imagined as to what happened in this book, but guess what? It was good. Very good. I have to admit there were some areas that I read that through me off a little. Such as female to female scenes and male, female, male scenes. All in all, though the writer did a wonderful job with having Ginny and Edward explore their passionate sides. I would loved for the love scenes to have been a little longer with the male saying naughty words or dirty talk to the female as they chase the exciting ride. The book was easy read and a ultimate page turner. The was very entertaining and fun to read. Until next time my fellow readers… read on!
This is a really hot and steamy first book in what promises to be a great series. The plot is one of sensual pleasure from start to finish. The characters are brilliantly crafted and have the courage to enjoy their sensuality. This is a great historical romance for anybody who loves a steamy read.
A historical erotica featuring a couple who share their love for scandalous desires and later wed. They find their true passion in each other arms and the arms of other people. Includes MFM, MF, MFF, and voyeuristic scenes. It's short and super steamy, more on the steam side than the plot side. It was what I needed at the moment and I also couldn't stop reading it.
Oh boy that was spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ If you’re looking for a low stakes, very hot, regency erotica, THIS IS FOR YOU. It delivered on what it promised and wasn’t too long. Plus, it had some very good discussions about consent and preferences, which can often be left out in these types of stories. So I really appreciated how much the two main characters actually talked. Very good!
Didn’t like the fact that the hero didn’t bother noticing her at first due to her dowdiness. He only panted after her after she masqueraded herself as the siren Helen of Troy in her toga. It was only after he found out that she was actually the dowdy female he didn’t care about, he asked her to be his wife. Either way, the steam in this book is off the charts.
It was spicy but more of a period piece which was not exactly my cup of tea. I tend to lean towards more contemporary and dark stories. But it was an interesting read and overall if period pieces are your thing I’d recommend.
Pure smut. A quick read that was pretty good. Not to much romance and some of the historical references (such as language used) was not the best but over all a short read to get you out of a reading slump! Definitely spicy! 🌶️
Not gonna lie, this book was like porn on paper. It was sooooo erotic and not 100% what I was expecting. Essentially zero plot (honestly, who the f*** cares) and steamy, filthy sex galore.
