I like Renee Rose as an author but this book wasn't for me. I can't say that I enjoyed reading it, something was off, maybe the protagonists, maybe the story-line, I don't know... I may try another book from the Zandian series, but I'm still debating it.

And really, the only reason I started this was because while searching through Google Play Books looking for free, short, erotica, sci-fi romances I found this absolute BS. The other reason I started it was because it looked like an rh and I'm interested in reading more of that genre.
I cringed almost the whole time reading this.

Zandian Masters, Book 9. Treachery in the ranks of the Zandians! Is this the end?

Eslyn never envisioned living alone on a ravaged planet with her mates and children. When her mates commit heinous crimes against the Zandians, they're all taken prisoner and transported to the Zandian royal ship. Her mates are jailed. Eslyn, however, seems to have landed in a luxury prison. But does she have any clue what lies ahead? She's one of the last, maybe the last, Zandian female alive. Prince Zander has a very specific agenda, and while Eslyn may be clueless of that agenda, she finds herself smack in the middle of it. And what of her guards, Granit, Damon, and Laake? They see Eslyn's inherent beauty in every form. They know what their Prince wants. They also know what they want. But Eslyn already has mates, criminal mates! Is she complicit? If so, what are the consequences for her, her children? If not, can she prove it? And what can possibly come of the growing attraction between Eslyn, Granit, Damon, and Laake? I love every book Renee Rose has ever written. This book is no exception. It's an expansion of the story included in the Alien Alphas anthology and a quick read. Even if you've already read the short story, you'll still want to read this novella for the new scenes and incredible additions to the plot. Eslyn is an absolute joy! She's lived through so much heartache. Alone on Zandia after its near destruction with three mates who are all criminals, having to live with the daily terror of believing they're the only Zandians left in existence, her constant worries about her children...all have taken their toll. Granit, Damon, and Laake are the polar opposites of her mates, yet can Eslyn begin to trust them? It's obvious these three are loyal to their prince. It's just as obvious that they're dedicated to the Zandian cause. They're as dominant as any man can be, and that terrifies, and enthralls, Eslyn. As with all Ms. Rose's books, the details are what make this book. Familiar characters from previous books in the series return, with new supporting characters that give hints of what might yet come. There are so many twists and turns. The suspense is unrelenting. The romance is off-the-charts hot and steamy! This is another absolutely remarkable addition to the Zandian Masters series, and I adored it. Congratulations, Ms. Rose! Your writing is stellar (pun intended), and this book shines! It deserves nothing less than five stars!

A final note. This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and Amazon. Use these resources. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. It's not fair to the author. She works hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to a book's subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.

This is the ninth book in the Zandian Masters series and truly is better read as part of the series. Eslyn who was mentioned in an earlier book if finally facing Prince Zander for her previous wrongdoings. Her punishment is to be reconditioned by her three guards. However, they have more than just reconditioning on their minds. Instead they see forever with Eslyn as their mate. This was a great addition to the series and quite frankly I hope the series continues as it is still enjoyable after nine books. Great world-building, steamy romance and a fun story.

Great installment in the Zandian series. Eslyn's only real concern is for her young children after being found on their home planet along with her three abusive mates. She must face the punishment for her part in a crime. Granit, Laake, and Damon are given Eslyn to punish and rehabilitate by King Zander from book 1. There is a bit of a BDSM element but nothing too heavy. I liked the plot and characters; especially how each of the guys was with Eslyn's kids.

I found in this one Eslyn unlikeable and self focussed, Damon's view with her as his "MINE" may cause problems between the three warriors.
I'm also not a fan of one woman more than 2 men, so just left me a bit meh!

But it won't stop me reading this author.

Spank them and they will come.
The Zandian stories have WAY too much sex to suit me. It's kind of like BDSM but not. Consent for the "punishing" is dubious. The humans are told they are not slaves, yet in the bedroom they sure are treated that way. The husbands really do need a manual on understanding human psychology. Humans have been oppressed slaves for millennia and don't know what to expect from their new husbands/masters. Imagine that you were just given a freed slave as a wife. Try to think how she would think. Don't write a story like this for the sake of writing erotica. In the year of 2020 slavery and racism are a sore subject.
The author must be afraid of the "F" word because the characters say "veck" instead. Also the aliens have rainbow sperm. I guess this is all to remind us that we are reading about aliens.

Never thought I say this .. but ... to much sex and not enough story

This book was really rather pointless. Yes, I was curious as to what was going to happen to Eslyn, but I honestly expected more than this. Safe on Zander's royal pod, though still a prisoner more or less, Eslyn constantly worries about her future and her children's. Because she had had three mates on the planet, Zander assigns the three that have been guarding her to oversee her punishment and rehabilitation. These three are quite thrilled. Which led to something that really bugged me. Eslyn had been suffering for 15 years under the brutal hands of her three ex-mates. They were physically and emotionally abusive. So much so that she has visible trauma from things. Like hands around her neck. So why in the wold would these new mates think that it is the best idea ever to cane her and hurt her more!? I mean, I get it. That is literally what this entire series has been about. BUT this woman has already suffered so much physical pain, can different males hurting her really make such a huge difference and only in a matter of days? I certainly wouldn't think so.

The vast majority of this book was these four having sex. And then Eslyn making a stupid stupid stupid decision which only served to completely backfire. After this series, I am even more so over stupid females that refuse to ask for help and instead just make their lives worse trying to do everything themselves. But of course it all gets worked out in the end and they all happily mate.

Honestly, I'm glad to finally be done with this series. As I progressed I just got more and more bored with it all. Thankfully these books were all pretty short at least. I do have at least the first two books in the spin off Brides series, but I don't intend to read them any time soon. I just didn't get into this series enough to want to bother.

“Will the real set of mates please step forward?”

I received an Advance Reader Copy for THEIR ZANDIAN MATE: An Alien Warrior Reverse Harem Romance (Zandian Masters, Book #9) written by Renee Rose and voluntarily reviewed this book. Eslyn’s plight is a story familiar to many females: abuse, neglect, mistreatment, etc. at the hands of your mates. But when you are one of three existing Zandian females capable of producing offspring successfully, then you can expect to be treated with kid gloves. When she is discovered, she is separated from her three mates and then taken aboard on the Prince’s royal ship as a prisoner only to be holed up in a luxurious prison cell with open access to her children. But she does not know what their fates will be. Instead, after a quick hearing regarding a crime she had committed, the Prince graciously grants her punishment to be meted out by the three guards who have been keeping watch on them.

Granit, Damon and Laake simply cannot believe their luck, for they get to punish, train and spend time with a rare-find of a woman of their very own species. They know she did have three mates, but their collective worry does not prevent them from doing their jobs. They also know that this is just a temporary situation - so what will happen to Eslyn and her children when the Prince finally decides what he will do with them?

Another good & steamy addition to this alien reverse harem world!

Another wonderful story in the Zandian Masters series!! Each book tells its own story, no repetition, no reiteration. You can read this as a standalone, yet the characters from earlier books are integral parts in various stories and makes one feel comfy and cozy. I think you will enjoy it more if you read the series in order. Renee Rose continues to keep us salivating over these Zandian warriors, admiring their mates and learning as they have overcome many adversities. We realize hope is good and can be achieved. Eslyn is a lone woman survivor on her home world that has been decimated. She has been in hiding with 3 cruel mates and their children. Now, the Zandian Ruler has regained their world and she is guarded by 3 of the Ruler’s most trusted men…..let the story begin!!! Yes! The story features HOT, steamy Alpha men, exciting women, sensual sexy scenes, it is fast paced with BDSM elements and filled with romance, caring and love.
I was eagerly waiting to read Eslyn’s story and was NOT disappointed. I was happy to read that Eslyn will have a happy future with 3 Zandian warriors but I I will not tell you which ones! That is for you to discover, as you read the story. Thank you Renee Rose for another WELL written story! Another book that is a page turner from page one! And wonderful hours of reading pleasure!

Very short wrap up to the Zandian Master series

I enjoyed this short story about Eslyn, the female freed from 3 abusive males that was found living on Zandia. She was taken into protective custody to determine her part in the kidnapping of Talia, a mate to another Zandian warrior.

Eslyn and her 4 children are brought on board Prince Zander's ship, where she is guarded by 3 new males that she is very attracted to, and who seem to feel the same way. After a preliminary hearing with Prince Zander, Eslyn was given into the care of her guards for rehabilitation and preparing her for Zandian society, especially important since she was isolated since the Finn attacked their planet. This is something very different for her, as she has only known physical and mental abuse, not a kind, but sometimes firm, and loving hand from any male.

The three warriors have bonded into shared brotherhood and are of the same mind to claim the freed female for their own mate, especially after her 'rehabilitation' that is if Prince Zander will approve, AND Eslyn doesn't have any hidden feelings for the mates who sired her children and abused her. I am going to stop her so that I don't accidentally provide any spoilers.

I first read this story as part of an anthology that I purchased back in January, called Alien Alphas: Twenty-Three Naughty Sci-Fi Romance Novellas (Interstellar Brides: The Virgins 0.5) It's just as hot as it was the first time I read it! Eslyn is a character we first met in an earlier book. She's one of the remaining three Zandian females alive. She has lived a hard life and been brutalized repeatedly by the three males who have fathered her children. Rescued from that life and brought to King Zander's luxurious pod she is awaiting the king's decision on what will become of her. Assigned to guard her are Granit, Laake, and Damon, three honorable Zandian warriors to whom she is deeply drawn, an attraction that they share as well, and they want nothing more than to claim her and her children as their own. This hot and sexy story is part of a world I've come to know very well through this series. Renee Rose is an amazing writer and this story is a great addition to the series.

Book 9 in the Zandian Masters series, and although each of these books can easily be read as a standalone I have found reading them in order was the best way in terms of the Zandian storyline.

We came across Eslyn in previous books, and this is her story.

Only one of a few remaining female Zandian, Eslyn was marooned on their decimated home planet with 3 Zandian mates and their children, but her mates were criminals and are being convicted for crimes against the Zandians. Eslyn and abused and mistreated by her previous mates and is now being made to answer to Prince Zander in case she was in league with her previous mates.

Her punishment is to be reconditioned, punished and trained by her 3 guards Granit, Damon, and Laake, who can't believe their luck! Given a female Zandian for themselves to punish and train, a dream come true for them, but their feelings get involved and they want her for a mate, even knowing she has 3 previous mates and their children, they are willing to take them all on.

A great addition to the series - hot, steamy, sexy and a reverse harem read!!

Finally it is Eslyn's day to hear her verdict.

She had been confined to her cabin, her children running free on the palatial pod. Her three guardians are loath to take her to be sentenced, but to their delight they are appointed 're-educators' to Eslyn.
And the education begins right away. All three of them have fallen for the mother of four right from the beginning and they would do anything to keep her. So they do their utmost to punish and satisfy her!

But there is still the question what to do with the three males, at least one of them father of her children, that had kept her, the only remaining Zandian female on the planet, as their property.

Until that problem is solved there are a few unexpected surprises to deal with.
Question is, will her new guardians be allowed to keep her?

Three Hot Warriors...One Beautfiul Woman

Eslyn only knew a lonely existence with three Zandian males she had no desire for. She was rescued from her abandoned home of Zandia to end in another predicament. She was ordered reconditioning and punishment by Prince Zander. She didn't expect three handsome protective Zandians With them she felt all things she had missed out on. She wanted the three warriors to stay in her life.

The three warriors Damon, Laake and Geanut thought Eslyn the most beautiful and they wanted to keep her. Love and raise her young but they couldn't keep her if she chose to go back to her other three warriors They were determined to keep her. A hot read with an even hotter and rewarding end.

Granit, Laake, Damon, and Eslyn were able to form an immediate bond. The three males were gentle and protective, even when administering the discipline necessary for Eslyn to join the Zandian community. Her new mates also bonded well with her children.

You can read this as a standalone, but I think you will enjoy it more if you read the series in order, or at minimum, read the previous two or three books.

This book seemed much shorter to me than the other books. A very quick read that can be completed in an hour or two. I wish it had been longer like some of the other books. It was ok, but unfulfilling.

Eslyn is a prisoner waiting on her sentence. Her "cell" may be fancier than anything she has seen before and she may be treated better than she has ever been but she's still a prisoner. When Prince Zander decides her punishment, Eslyn doesn't know if she should be scared or excited. Granit, Damon and Laake are family even if they don't share blood. Put in charge of Eslyn's punishment, these three wish for more. They wish to claim her permanently. Will Eslyn's former mates return to claim her? If so, will she leave with them?

Eslyn was the only other Zandian female to have survived the attack to the planet as far as she knew. Her, her three mates, and ultimately their four children. When her mates tried kidnapping an Earth woman, mate to another Zanian, they were all brought before King Zander. Eslyn and her children to be guarded and reconditioned by Damon, Granit and Laake while her mates were in the dungeon until their trial.
There is no end of excitement, drama, punishments (including spanking, caning, plugs and vecking). The plot wove through this story seamlessly and the characters had personality traits so relatable it was easy to be charmed by them. This is easily a series I will be continuing with.

This is a short story that takes place right before the Zandians take back their planet and before the events in the “Zandian Brides” series. While it was pretty short, it seemed an ok length for what it was. I was happy to see the 3 jerk Zandians remain sentenced to the dungeons. it was nice to see a happy ending for Eslyn. She didn’t have a loving relationship with the 3 Zandian males she was marooned with, so it was nice to see her fulfilled and no longer afraid for her children.

Although I would rather sit in the dungeon myself before submitting to those whipping/spankings, her 3 warriors do seem to be so happy with their new family.

Zandian women are very rare and Eslyn is one of three. She had spent the last 15 years with her brutal and abusive mates. She is now being held by Prince Zander and he has decreed that her new three guards are to teach her to be able to be socialized and to hand out punishment as needed. Her children are revered as treasures, the chance for their kind to keep existing.
Damon, Granit and Laake are those guards and they all have strong feelings for Eslyn.
This book is a fast read and will be enjoyed by all PNR lovers. It has betrayals, awakenings, and some smoking, hot sex scenes.

This short story is certainly not for the feint of heart. Ms. Rose certainly has a great imagination when creating a fantasy world. Very detailed and descriptive of all the odds and sods that comprise this fantasy alien world. Exceedingly sensual scenes between the main female character and the three main male characters. The three main male characters each have a unique component to form a complete trio ... Yummy!!!

“Their Zandian Mate” is the first reverse harem story in Renee Rose’s Zandian Masters series and we are reintroduced to Eslyn whom we first meet in Tomis and Talia’s story (book 6 in the series). I will readily admit that it wasn’t my favorite story thus far in the series but it was thoroughly enjoyable and gave us more details into the Zandian unverse. I liked how all of them were learning as they went. Their interactions were swoon-worthy and I loved how well the men worked together as warriors and when with Eslyn.

Three on one! It's a worthy venture

This one was short and sweet. Three worthy warriors to care for and protect one woman. Eslyn is being punished for her part in the assault and kidnapping of Tailya in the previous book. Eslyn is mated to three sadistic and abusive Zadian warriors and they plotted to steal another man's female. Well they are captured and brought to judgement by the king. Eslyn is re assigned to new warriors for behavior correction and punishment. The honorable males fall in love and they want to keep her. Good, short, and sweet. ☺
