Learning and Development, part of the CIPD endorsed HR Fundamentals series, is a practical guide to designing and delivering training and development programmes effectively in an organization. It demonstrates how to link learning to strategic business goals and explores both the benefits and complexities associated with L&D. Using a combination of practical tools, assessments, scenarios and case studies, this essential introduction will build knowledge in areas such as diagnosing L&D needs, types of intervention, development categories, assessment and training evaluation. This updated 2nd edition of Learning and Development considers new employment statuses and material on mobile learning, e-learning, and MOOCs, as well as the importance of experiential learning and how L&D professionals can support employees. New tools aid the measurement and evaluation of learning and development programmes and are supported by fresh international case studies. Online resources include video clips from L&D specialists, an annotated bibliography, extended case studies and self-evaluation materials.
Powerful guide for learning and development in the large Organizations. The author provides an introduction to learning and development by giving the theoretical background and practical aspects to manage a learning and development plan. The book is very well documentation and the transition between the theoretical and the practical is balanced.
