First book of 2024. I got this when it first came out and have used it many times. You can just read it, if you don't like to cook. There are a lot of great stories about Italian family life and the role of food in it. For New Year's Day dinner I made Ditalini e Fagioli, one of my favorite recipes in the book (Joe Belfiore, who ran the local Italian hole in the wall when I was growing up, would call it pasta fazu). I am not sure about sitting down to read books like this through, although you could this one. They generally end up being a dialogue over time, as you try out and adapt recipes to your liking (and sometimes go back to the original version). Get it and eat something good!
