She's got a good job that she enjoys, a family that she loves, and a fake boyfriend to keep her mother happy. As long as she keeps them all separate, she has nothing to worry about. But after a year of fake-dating, she's put in a situation where she has to bring her fake boyfriend home to meet the family and there's no way out of it.
She just has one problem—how do you make a fake boyfriend real?
Adam works at the same place as her.
He's sexy, flirty, irresistible, determined, completely off-limits, and she can't stand to be in the same room as him. Which makes it even harder to pretend to be in love with him.
Australian author R.J. Groves has been passionate about writing since she could put pen to paper and can usually be found jotting plots and stories down on anything she can get her hands on. Describing herself as a mum, wife, author, and coffee lover, her other passions include music, cooking, books, adventures, and searching for plot bunnies in even the most mundane activities.
Oh, my heart. Someone pretend to be my fake boyfriend and fall in love with me. These guys were sweet. The desire not to disappoint your family is so strong in me, I can completely understand why Lacey did what she did. I couldn't put this story down, because I needed to find out how it ended!
EEEEEEEEEEE!! This was short and sweet and sizzling but also adorable and now I want more but also gee is it nice to just sit down and finish a nice book in one sitting. Also, if you love reading fake dating au's on ao3, then this book is for you. it has your classic 'oh no there's only one bed' trope and all the good stuff. Definitely worth a read.
Nice and short read, appropriate given it was only a weekend. While it was a cute story, it was a bit unrealistic that she suddenly fell for him in one day... His hint of having liked her for a while was more plausible... Poor guy, hopefully she came clean to the rest of the family, not just Patricia.. and that girl Bethany is a bit of a witch.
