This review is for the Wattpad version of Left Brainer Community. Honestly, it’s my first time reading a BL story where the main character is actually ugly—and thank you author for that. The first half had me cracking up, especially whenever Princess Kokubu showed up. It starts off light, with a really nice mix of comedy and realism.
The second half, though, gets heavier. There are a lot of triggers, some hasty generalizations, and the characters keep making questionable decisions on repeat. The story is packed with analepsis and stream-of-consciousness moments, which do add depth to the characters’ thoughts, but sometimes there’s just too much of it that it becomes a bit distracting.
Still, the main plot holds up really well—bittersweet, emotional, but ultimately gives you that satisfying happily-ever-after.

I LIKE THIS BOOK. Sobrang ganda nung kwento, as in sobra. I love the way kung pano sinulat ni author yung kwento, kung pano nagkasunod-sunod. May matutunan ka sa book na ‘to, mas magiging aware ka sa nangyayare sa mga part ng LGBTQ kung pano nagaganap yung unfairness at dahil na rin sa book na ‘to mas naging confidence ako na dapat eh huwag akong matakot kung sino ako, dapat na huwag akong matakot na ipagsigawan sa lahat na isa ako sa LGBTQ.
