I admit I just changed my mind about military romance after reading this thrilling story. Let’s start with the characters. Mike is a retired soldier whose mission is to rescue the senator’s daughter from some rebels of a complicated country. One might think that this the usual story that is he rescues the girl and gets the final prize. Nope! Because before the happy ending these characters go through a series of events that will make the reader’s skin crawl because of the precarious situation they need to face in the jungle. What impressed me most about the story is how the author has detailed the events and this could only mean that she has gathered the information before writing. I need to add something else about Mike and his gallantry because Mike is a very special man. He is in fact deaf (he lost his hearing during a mission) but he Is determined to bring Jessica back to her parents without burdening her with his disability. What more can I say? Oh yes Jessica is his perfect match. You won’t meet a spoiled brat but a wonderful and responsible woman. I highly recommend this book. I received an advanced copy of the book.

This was an exciting fast paced book right from the start! I couldn't put it down, needing to find out what craziness Mike & Jessica would face next in their adventure! I loved it and I'm so excited to read more from this author!

This is a great story with a bunch of action and drama that will keep you captivated throughout the whole book. Jessica and Mike had no clue that a week long trek through the Amazon would land them in a situation that would boil over and have them falling deep in love.
