Blood Ties by Shaun Sinclair is the riveting story of two alpha males. Leader is a successful hit man, due in part to his military training in the elite Special Forces. His son, Justus, has been unwittingly training under his father’s tutelage his entire life.

Leader and Justus control everything around them, including their women. They are living the high life due to their lucrative career. They manage their world until vengeance and a scorned female arrive to totally disrupt their lives. Leader and Justus are characters that you love to hate and hate to love. Even their flaws are endearing. There are hints of humanity in these ruthless killers.

Sinclair has successfully mixed ghetto life and affluence. Leader and Justus have held on to their roots and family ties even while rising above them. With Sinclair’s finesse, the ghetto is as fitting a backdrop as the luxury communities where they now reside.

I throughly enjoyed every aspect of this novel. The plot is exquisite and the betrayals are stunning. The ending is beyond belief. Blood Ties is a definite 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys gritty fiction with bite and a great twist. The violence and sex may be a turnoff to some readers.

My thanks to Kensington Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. However, the opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine and mine alone.

I love the action. I can see the characters in my head when I was reading the story. The end was a little bit iffy for me but it just left it open for book 2. It has some gruesome moments which I do like in a book, it had sex, we had the trail head violence. It was a good book I really enjoyed it

I can’t wait for the next book! I need Justice to teach crazy Carmen a trick or two. Show her what real revenge is all about.

This was a decent book. It kept my attention. However it ends on a cliffhanger and there is no second book.
