A comprehensive text which starts logically with the supply of engineering materials in various forms, goes on to deal with the basic processes of casting and welding, and then treats the various machining processes in detail. Engineering measurement and gauging are also included and there is a final chapter on process planning and time and motion study.
Basically this book hurts my brain and emphasises the fact that I did not inherit any of my grandfather's engineering abilities. It was interesting to try and get my head around these things though and I'm sure somewhere deep down something has taken root...
