Callum Silver returns to Camp Wanagi, the summer camp run by the mysterious group known as the Oracle of Senders. A camp for people with gifts like his. Cal had hoped last summer would change his life. Instead, it almost ended it. Other than that, nothing’s changed. He still sees dead people. It still sucks.
Well, one thing has changed, the surprising friendship he’s developed with quiet bookworm, Meander Rhoades. When they parted ways last year, Cal would have hesitated to call Meander a friend. Now, they talk every day. Cal is eager to spend the summer together on the beach, even if it means battling displaced ghosts.
Reunited with his fellow Shade members, Cal soon finds that the angry souls he experienced last year were nothing compared to the ones lurking in this island paradise. His teammates don’t share his trepidation. They are eager to try out the skills they acquired at Camp Wanagi and prove themselves worthy of one day becoming a Sender, even if it means risking their lives.
With each passing day, the stakes grow higher as Shade member’s attempt to battle spirits far beyond their capabilities and Cal wrestles with the knowledge his feelings for Meander go beyond friendship. Can he survive the summer and keep his relationships intact?

I loved this book even more than the first one I really liked that Cal's and Meander's relationship moved forward although it did take multiple steps backward by the end I really loved the story will read more of the series soon. I loved the characters even more in this book especially Cal and Meander I loved how their relationship moved along it was so great but there was a major set back that I think will take awhile to go away. I really loved the plot it started with more ghost stuff all while Cal and Meander get closer it moves into a dangerous thing that causes much strife and separates Cal and Meander and puts one of the group into a coma. So overall I loved this book now diving into the next one will finish it soon.
Camp Wanagi is a camp for teens who can see ghosts and/or interact with ghosts. All the campers have unique powers and none are the same. This is Cal’s second year at Camp Wanagi and he has keep in contact with all his friends especially Meander. Let Camp Wanagi Year Two begin.
I love Shade book 1 in the series so it wasn’t a surprise that I loved book 2 just has much. This year’s camp was a little different because it is their second year. But all the bonding, friendship, drama, and ghosts are back. I love the main character Cal and his love interest Meander so much. This book like the first one is all in Cal’s POV and I love watching him slowing fall for Meander and unsureness of first like/love. Dylan, Mim and Kornelia are all back and this was the one part of the book I didn’t like. Their love triangle which was started in book 1 continues into book 2.
All the campers are from all around the world and all different backgrounds. It is so wonderful to see this in a book. I love that this book had disability representation. I don’t want to spoil anything so I will leave you with three more things: The Ghost Hunts. That Ending. That Hug. Seriously read this series. It is amazing.
Revenant is a crazy Rollercoaster of a book. I enjoyed this book (book 2) so much more than I loved book 1 (Shade). Cal is definitely my favorite character and Dylan is my least favorite. From beginning to end this book kept me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait to see what is in store for the characters next. I very highly recommend purchasing and reading this book.
Hands down a great novel! Mere Joyce does their thing yet again! This book is as intense as the first of not more so. The twists and turns are simply breath taking. I couldn’t stop reading! Never a dull moment in the world of the Oracle.

I am a huge fan of the friendship dynamic that grows between Cal and Meander. I love when a gloomy/quiet/reserved character comes alive when alone with the person they're closest to and only for that person. It's such a sweet dynamic. This book in general was super fun and can't wait for the next one :)
