If you cannot take "I love them both" pingpong heroines then this one isn't any better. It's only at the end that she finally decides. No shocker again.
By that time it's almost too late to be bored to death.

A trope not many like...

But I absolutely loved.

Cheating in romance novels is such a big no-no. But guess what it’s realistic. Everything the FMC was going through was relatable.

This was my first Aidee James book and I know it won’t be my last. I need to finish this series.

Cris, heartbroken over what her husband did, is given an opportunity she just can’t let pass by.

Owen, broke his wife’s heart and now has to live with the repercussions.

Bo, an innocent bystander. Down for whatever.

Honestly I didn’t think the Author was going to give me what I wanted. But she did and that hooked me.

I also listened to the audio and I felt all the emotion come through from the narrator. When she was sad, when she was excited. It was overall just a great read and experience.

I was surprise that I enjoyed the storytelling given the topic. Everyone involved reacted to the situation real and relatable. The reaction was warranted and the behavior made sense. Nothing good comes out of cheating and consequences will result. It was emotional and a tough journey for all involved. Lots of secondary characters - but really why is everyone involved with cheating somehow??The pace was hit and miss with filler and it felt a bit long. The writing was tough to follow at times. It ends in a cliffhanger. 2.5 rounded up.

3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 Stars! Forbidden affair book. I love this type of trope, the more forbidden the better. This wasn’t too bad. I loved that the chemistry seemed genuine with both men. I always end up siding with the guy the heroine doesn’t choose. I want to see how this turns out though.

This is a short read but really gripping and entertaining. Is about a fmc who is devastated when she finds out her husband had a drunken one night stand ( supposedly, this book wnds on a cliff ganger and thetes more books in the series so its bot clear if hes telling the entire truth) when he goes on a work trip. Shes devastated and contemplating divorce. They go through a hysterical bonding period and discuss what it will take for her to get past his affair and continue to reconcile.

She wants to get even and wants a hall pass to also have an affair. She has in mind the perfect guy..her neighbors son who sees attracted to. Her husband agrees to it but tells her that it pains him and will destroy his heart but she's determined to be on even playing ground..what she didnt expect was to fall for her affair partner.

This is well written and I f you are willing to read the rest of the books in the story to find out what happened or are ok with a cliff hanger Id recommend 📚 reading.

Confused,by morally head spinning infidelity scenario

So ,the husband of 15 years has a one off ,a.drunken ,one night stand on a business trip with a woman he claims he was not that strongly attracted to.Cris is understandably distraught. Here's the thing. She has been lusting after a neighbor's son for some time, unable to stop thinking about him and consistently seeks out contact only to stop briefly until learning of Owen's indiscretion and now takes this opportunity to act upon it by delving into a physical and emotional affair \connection.Which is the greater of two evils? Although Bo's character is beyond appealing,my heart hurts for Owen who seemingly twisted himself into a pretzel with guilt trying to make things right. Its not like me to empathize with the cheating H,but Cris's behavior confuses me ,the lines between right and wrong and poses the question as to who is the more guilty party here...??? Who is making the greater, more intractable error?
Additionally, I would be lying if I didn't say Bo's very public proclamation and admission didn't stir me and fan the flames of romantic fantasy. But unfortunately ,this has also resulted in the head spinning confusion alluded above over this dilemma! Nothing to do but move on to book two, I suppose and hope my conscience and moral barometer survive intact!😂

When a woman’s husband is caught cheating, she is given the opportunity of having a one night stand. She thought she could do it without getting caught up with feelings but they both will end up falling for each other. In the end, who will she choose her husband or her one night stand as we are left wondering?

This is the first time I’ve read a romance story with cheating as a focal point. But the way the author presented the situation kind of lessen the disgust factor with the act of cheating. It is still wrong but Cris’ and Owen’s behavior throughout the story gives it heart. There are a lot of steamy sex scenes but what makes it a compelling read are the emotions that comes from Cris, Owen, and Bo. I can’t wait to read the second part. [I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.]

A hard story of a woman being cheated on who tries to find a way through... It won’t be a book for everyone. But the emotion, the rawness in it, definitely deserves 5*. Ms Jaimes definitely knows her craft!

#RESEÑA (Reseña de mis inicios)

The ticket - Aidée Jaimes

Tenemos a tres personajes claves: Owen, Bo y Cristina.

Finally! A cheating husband where he got what he deserved. A wronged wife where she got it REAL good with the OM. And and OM who I’m rooting for.

The thing is, Owen (the husband who cheated) is half as bad and vindictive and trash as the other cheating husband characters in other books (like Drew in Broken Play or Will in What happened after). Owen is forgivable and redeemable but I just can’t fathom and stomach FMC who easily forgives and does not have fun with other people, who remained doormat and pathetic and martyr. So this book scratched an itch within me to read wronged wife who have fun, have fulfilling toe-curling sex after the cheating.

The not so secret affair.

This was a take a chance read for me. I don't really care for cheating. The idea that Chris's husband cheated and to allow her to forgive him, he gives her a ticket for an one day affair. This was a quick grab for me. The story was really sexy, dreamy leading men and adorable kids. Remember the saying "be careful what you ask for" Bo is no regular cheating dog. Feelings and what if's leave us waiting for the next book. Hopefully it will come out soon. Well done.

This is the second time I’ve read this authors book and I have to say I’m blown away!! I literally devoured this book! The anxiety of just needing to know what choices were going to be made were through the roof! Thrilling and captivating! Such an intriguing story line! Every time I had to set my tablet down, my thoughts ran so rampant that I had to get back to it ASAP! I mean it was addictive! Incredible story! Desperate for the next installment!

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 Gripping & Heartfelt!

The Ticket
The Affair
By: Aidèe Jaimes
Narrated by: Felicia Palmer

I enjoyed this book immensely, it is an original story that is captivating from start to end. This is my first book written by Aidèe Jaimes, she is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style, the characters and storylines she created are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. You could feel how much heart she put into this story, her descriptive details gives you an inside view of what the characters are seeing, feeling and going threw, it enables you to feel all of their emotions too. Cristiana “Cris” and Owen are happily married with a darling young daughter. But Owen messes up big time, he has a one night while away on business and Cris finds out about it. Despite apologies and his sorrow Cris can not get past it. She never cheated but her eyes has strayed and after hearing her friends confession she comes up with an idea, she gets to have her own one night stand and Owen can have no say in the matter. She knows the perfect guy too, her neighbors son Bo. Will a weekend rendezvous be the thing to save her marriage, can two wrongs set things right for them or complicate matters more? There is never a dull moment in this book, the story flows naturally and is nicely plotted with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt and emotional moments and hot romance. Aidèe Jaimes, thank you for this great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Felicia Palmer is a talented narrator and voice artist. She did an awesome job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them with their emotions and personality. She covered the voices for all the characters, performed both the male and female roles giving each their own distinct voice making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this fantastic listen🎧

Enthralling!

I came across this book yesterday and couldn't put it down. I finished it in one sitting because it's so short. So obviously from the title and blurb you know this book contains marital cheating which I am totally against but this is a fantasy so I'm okay with it. The author made these characters so likeable that it wasn't hard to get into it. Sometimes a person just wants to read about a struggling marriage and this seems to be the one. I thought going in this would mostly just be about sex but it contained an emotional connection between Cristiana, the heroine and Bo, the man she chose to be her "ticket" after her husband Owen agreed to go along with this "excused" one night stand only because he cheated first and got caught. He's so in love with her that he's willing to do anything so she can forgive him and they get to move on with their lives. It's crazy. I wasn't sure how I would feel because I hate cheating between the heroes but I'm not so sure the wife and husband are the true heroes in this case. Does she decide to stay with her husband or will she give Bo her heart instead? Guess we'll find out in the concluding bk 2. I recommend for those who don't mind the aspect of this story. It's underrated at this point but I'm telling you the author did such a good job writing it. Give it a chance. Plus it's less than 200 pages so it wouldn't be a complete waste of time. I was not disappointed. "Don't judge a book..." Happy Reading!

This was a really hard book to read for me because it wasn't just about them. They had a little girl where if the parents weren't careful it could affect the child as well.

I always believe than when I man cheats often it is from stupidity and being drunk and it really means nothing to him unless his a manwhore who can't keep his dick in his pants which in that case he deserves to be cheated on but unlike when a woman cheats it means a lot more than just spreading her legs open, of course, there are also woman who can't resist temptation. Usually when a woman cheats on her husband emotions of the heart are also of consequence. It is not just a F***.

This book proves just that. As soon as I started reading this book, I had a hard time getting through the book. As already as soon as it started Chris was already cheating with her mind and heart before the husband even committed an indiscretion.

As soon as the idea was planted to get even she made it her goal to get even but what got on my nerve from Chris was that she was using the opportunity that the devil wedge between them to finally act on the lust that Chris had been craving. It was plan and executed, which i find it a lot worst than what her husband did. Bo's character i did not really like because he knew the rules but didnt care much for them and was planning to become a thorn in her marriage. But of course that just my opinion.

3-3.5 stars. The synopsis drew me in immediately. Cris and Owen have been happily married for several years and have a daughter together. But things are obviously not perfect in any relationship if one of them strays. I was ready to stay mad at Owen for his transgression but he showed genuine remorse and despite what he did, he isn't a bad guy. Bo, on the other hand, reeks of all kinds of sin so when Cris decides to cash in on her golden ticket, he seems like the candidate for the job. As much as I loved the tension and indecision and aftermath on Cris' behalf, she was a bit frustrating with her insecurity and inability to move on. Not that she should forgive Owen easily, but she just seemed so wishy washy and she had her own flaws within the relationship. Still, Cris was out for revenge and more. What surprised me was the scene at the end in the airplane and airport. Up until that point, I didn't see much in the way of any emotional connection between Bo and Cris and I still wanted her to reconcile with Owen. At this point, I'm not sure who would make Cris happier.

The Ticket by Aidèe Jaimes is a contemporary romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Felicia Palmer.

All I can say is Wow!!! Aidèe does an amazing job making you feel all the emotions that are coming from Cris, Owen, and Bo. This story took me on an emotional roller coaster. It does end on a cliffhanger but that wasn’t a surprise since its part of The Affair series. I cannot wait to dive into The Red Dress to get the rest of their story.

Felicia did an amazing job on the narration! She brought the story to life beautifully. I cannot wait to listen to more of her work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book if you love Contemporary Romance, Women’s Fiction, or Romance in general.

This book was very interesting and it definitely stretched my comfort level and thoughts on cheating. I don’t know how I feel about the whole thing. I would give it a solid 3.5. If you have a strong stance on no cheating, this is not the book for you.

The story was very intriguing and I liked the idea of tit for tat, but at the same time it felt a little harsh to need the revenge on purpose. I feel like there is a huge difference between an in the moment mistake and a premeditated one.

Either way, I enjoyed the story even if it made me a little anxious at times. I really enjoyed the narrator, she did a great job bringing the story to life.

I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request, and have voluntarily left this review.
