Returning to Cheyenne Ginny starts therapy with Dr. Mann to help her overcome her past. He recommends she opens her social circle. Having a larger social circle will help to anchor her to the present rather than reliving the accident that took her parents.
Gavin and Garth take it upon themselves to make Ginny follow through by signing her up to sponsor newcomers to F.E. Warren AFB. This is how Ginny meets Second Lieutenant Owen Moore. Owen and Ginny have an instant attraction.
Will Owen be able to overcome Ginny's tragic past? Will Ginny be able to overcome their linked history? Or will someone else come between them?

Ginny and Owen are fire, but the manuscript needs a good line edit. 3.5 stars, rounding up to 4.

Ms. Lowe does a fantastic job making the reader love both Ginny, a hot-to-trot 18-year-old with a heartbreaking past and Owen, a straight up stud wearing a GD Air Force uniform. {Sigh} She plays with the will-they-won't-they elements of their relationship superbly by switching narration between the two. The supporting characters were also well done, though their term of endearment for Ginny of "sweet pea" drove me a little insane.

At the very top of the supporting character heap is Jesse, Ginny's gay bestie. I could picture him so vividly and loved that Ginny had someone like him in her life.

The novel loses an entire star for me based on grammar. There are small issues on pretty much every page. I can't give it five stars with these issues, but I'm sure the author will get them corrected in the next edition and I'll update. Seriously though, I'm a stickler for grammar and I was STILL able to look past these issues and thoroughly enjoy this love story.

The only other issue I had with the story was what a pushover Owen is... dare I even use the word pussy. There are a couple of situations where Owen is painted as making a mistake that Ginny must forgive him for, but I was sitting there being like, "Is that really HIS fault?" I wanted him to stick up for himself a little bit with Ginny - because, although she's fragile, a real relationship always contains negotiation.

Overall though, the book is wonderfully told and keeps a really nice pace. I've read a lot of books recently that seem entirely too long, but this one doesn't fit that description. I thought every character, every scene was perfectly necessary and drove the story along. I really loved this book!
