Pemberton and Shearsmith also co-wrote and appeared in the sitcom Psychoville and the comedy-drama Inside No. 9. His other television credits include Doctor Who, Benidorm, Blackpool, Shameless, Whitechapel, Happy Valley and Mapp and Lucia.
