When Captain Europa offers Janelle Jeanneret a recruitment deal she can't refuse, the French model doesn't hesitate to sign up with the Global Justice Initiative. After all, they're providing her with a killer apartment in Brussels, a new outfit, and even a flashy new name, in addition to paying her an awful lot of money... and it's even tax-free! But is there a catch? And how is a group of superhumans based in Europe going to go about establishing global justice anyway? Alt★Hero is the first in an exciting new line of superhero comics from Arkhaven Comics.

I quite often had a hard time figuring out which bubble to read first, third, whatever. The pattern was not consistent through out. These things are fixable.
I had a hard time knowing what the hell was going on. I think this is because they were trying to fit too much story into too little space. Was that Dr. Silver? And why is Boomhauer from "King Of the Hill" here? Let's hope it pans out.
The only bad part was that the comic had to end. The book does a good job setting the stage for a new superhero universe that's socially relevant to our own. It maintains its pace well, and left me wanting more at the end. Crackdown is a solid introduction to the new franchise.
I haven't read graphic novels for many years now, and with the cap that the major publishers have been trying to push I was pretty sure I was done with them. This series may change my mind. It is only the first issue, but it has me interested enough to look for the next one.
Can't wait to see the next issue. Will be getting the print edition too. Looking forward to learning more about this alternate universe. From what I understand WW2 as we know it has not happened. Should be interesting.
It's not a complete story. Hard to rate in itself. But our heroine is introduced to us, inducted into the ranks of super-police-force, and introduced to what it means.
